Yes, the Muses of Tilicheeva. Notes H
A heart given to children.
To the 105th anniversary of the birth of the composer E.N. Tilicheeva (1909 - 1997).
Composer E.N. Tilicheeva, whose 105th birthday was celebrated on November 17, 2014, belonged to that community of Russian composers of the 20th century who devoted a significant part of their work to children. Among them were Z. Levina, A. Aleksandrov, M. Krasev, M. Raukhverger, Z. Partskhaladze, D. Kabalevsky and others.
The composer knew and felt the specifics of music for children well. She knew how to look at the events of everyday life through the eyes of a child and convey it to the audience. Tilicheeva wrote many songs for children who sang and sing in preschool educational institutions and schools throughout the country. Her works are both highly artistic and easily accessible to the widest range of completely unprepared performers and listeners, children younger age.
In the work dedicated to children, E.N. Tilicheeva addressed the broadest topics. These are solemn songs about the Motherland ("Soviet Country"), and songs dedicated to state calendar holidays ("Flags". "May", "Mother's Day on March 8"), many songs dedicated to native nature(“Rain”, “Yablonka”), the city life of a child (“Airplane”, “We are driving down the street”), as well as a large number of highly artistic adaptations of Russian folk songs, jokes that made up several collections (“Rainbow”, “Our Day”), as well as a large number of musical games and fairy tales for children, which were performed both in broadcasts of the all-Union radio and in preschool institutions(for example, “Geese-swans and a wolf”, “Yablonka”). Also, the composer purposefully created didactic collections of children's songs, designed to form and develop the singing intonation and spelling skills of children. These are "Musical Primer" (1963), "Little Songs" (1961).
At the same time, the composer paid attention to songs dedicated to the study of musical literacy by the children of the younger school age. Such songs were created for the anthology "School choral singing»Professor Popov.
The main defining feature of all the work of E.N. Tilicheeva became Russian folk song sources. Any song melody, no matter what character it was, no matter what genre it belonged to, was permeated with Russian song and speech intonation. This was the strength of the composer's creativity. Tilicheeva's melodies are pure, clear and inspirational. They are not labored, but are written easily and freely, are well perceived by ear and freely fall on the voice. At the same time, musical texts show a large and painstaking work author, which is manifested in the brilliant finish of both the vocal-melodic line and the accompaniment part, which carries a significant semantic load, performing not only the role of supporting the voice, but also complementing the musical image with textural, coloristic and harmonic means, introducing semantic meaning into the elementary melody of children's songs ambiguity and emotional-semantic depth, helping to avoid clichéd presentation of musical material. It is in the accompaniments that the brilliant skill of E.N. Tilicheeva as a composer who creates, against the background of predominantly diatonic melody, which was determined by the musical and didactic tasks of works for young children, a richly developed texture and harmonic accompaniment.
We can safely say that the legacy of the composer E.N. Tilicheeva stands at the level of the best examples of academic music
Russia of the 20th century.
Elena Nikolaevna lived long life. She passed away in 1997 at the age of 88. Her life path was difficult and difficult, like that of the entire Russian people in the 20th century. Born in 1909, the composer survived I world war, the revolution of 1917, the difficult period of repression of the 30s, the Great patriotic war Finally, at the end of the 40s, when, it would seem, the most difficult trials were over, the life paths of the composer and her husband V.Yu. Tilicheev, a well-known pianist, professor at the Moscow Conservatory and the Musical and Pedagogical Institute. Gnesins. Tilicheeva continued her further life path alone. But despite all the difficulties of life, E.N. Tilicheeva, as contemporaries testify, has always remained a bright, open and purposeful, benevolent and modest person.
V.I. Sosunova (before Chuikov’s marriage) recalled: “I studied at a music school in the class of solfeggio and composition with the wife of Vladimir Yuryevich, Elena Nikolaevna Tilicheeva. It was the beginning of the 1930s… E.N. Tilicheeva was an absolutely amazing person, an excellent musician, an excellent teacher who selflessly loved children. She led a composition circle ... They met Vladimir Yuryevich at the Merzlyakov School, where they studied together. They loved each other very much - they had a wonderful family ... She loved him as a person and appreciated him as a musician. She was a very humble and charming person…”
In the funds of Ryazhsky local history museum A letter to E.N. Tilicheeva has been preserved, written in gratitude for the publication in one of the newspapers of the city of Ryazhsk and for the award of a diploma. The venerable composer wrote: “Dear Anna Afanasyevna! Thank you for everything! You spoil me very much, it’s just inconvenient for my modest work to receive diplomas and constant mentions of my name in the newspaper. Write to whom and at what address I should thank for receiving the certificate that was handed to me. Perhaps this document is the best feature personal qualities composer, her modesty was legendary.
Elena Nikolaevna was born in Moscow. Her mother was a pianist. Graduated from the Moscow Conservatory. My father was a lawyer by profession, but later became a professional singer, he sang in the choir. Pyatnitsky, and then in the Red Banner Ensemble of the Soviet Army.
In 1915, the Troitsky family (such maiden name Tilicheeva) moved to the city of Ryazhsk, Ryazan region. There, Lelya (that was her family name) heard Russian folk songs and tunes, which later became the basis for the formation of her vocal style. The girl did not want to study music, but she liked to sing in the choir, where she improvised the second voice with pleasure and ease.
At home constantly sounded classical music- Mom gave piano lessons and often played herself. The hearing of the growing Lely singled out Beethoven and Chopin. Lelya tried to select the works of these authors by ear and play in different keys. In them she composed her improvisations.
In 1925, the family returned to Moscow, where 16-year-old Lelya began attending concerts, heard a symphony orchestra, and got into the opera.
She came to the musical technical school (as the musical schools were then called), not knowing bass clef. However, the teachers at the audition were able to discern a genuine musical talent in the applicant.
In the process of training, Lele technically failed to catch up with her more advanced comrades, but she excelled in theoretical disciplines. A.F. Mutli, the author of the well-known collection of problems on harmony, noticing outstanding ability student, began to study composition with her.
During the years of study at the musical college, Elena Nikolaevna met with V.Yu. Tilicheev, future husband. Between them flashed a sincere and touching mutual love. This is how V.Yu. described his relationship with Lelya Troitskaya. Tilicheev: “I just needed to pour out my impression to someone (we are talking about the first visit to Professor G.G. Neuhaus),
he ran skipping to the technical school to look for Lelya Troitskaya, he wanted to tell her everything, everything, but he could not find her. He looked in one door - Mutli was sitting, studying ... I began to tell him choking ... I ran home from him .., and then it was time to go to the technical school, in the technical school I caught Lelya, let's tell her everything. She so sincerely, from the bottom of her heart experienced my whole story and was terribly happy for me. The young musician put for himself the names of the great G.G. Neuhaus and Lelya Troitskaya. The union of these two people, Vladimir Yuryevich and Elena Nikolaevna Tilicheev, became their professional unity.
Elena Nikolaevna was admitted to the Moscow Conservatory immediately for the 3rd year. Tilicheeva's teachers in composition were R. Gliere and A. Aleksandrov. A symphony (1937) became his graduation work. Soon a sonata and sonata for piano, a violin sonata, a fugue for a quartet, romances based on poems by Pushkin and Lermontov were written. Romance "Adele" on the verses of Pushkin became the first published work of the young composer (1937).
At that time, according to the surviving testimonies of contemporaries, V.Yu. Tilicheev often performed the works of his wife in concerts. So V.I. Sosunova, a former student of V.Yu. Tilicheeva wrote: “Few people know with what inner delight Viktor Yuryevich sat down at the instrument to perform the author's works of his wife. For many years they were most his concert programs dedicated contemporary music. Memories of those years testify to this. Concert name of V. Tilicheev in the late 1930s and early 1940s. was known as the name of the first performer of piano works by Elena Tilicheeva. This greatly expanded the horizons of the pianist, enriched the musical palette with new harmonies, sound combinations, modern language. Elena Nikolaevna highly appreciated his professional approach to her work and dedicated the best of her works to him. These two great musicians live in my memory today.”
Thanks to close creative cooperation with her husband, E.N. These were chamber-instrumental compositions - a sonata for violin and piano in 1938, string Quartet 1946, poem for violin and piano 1943, suite for violin and piano 1944, children's pieces for violin 1946, pieces for piano, romances on poems by Pushkin, Lermontov, Surkov, Kovalenkov.
In the future, most of the works listed above were, unfortunately, not published and were kept in manuscript at the author's house. However, in the 90s, the entire archive of the composer after her death was lost due to the irresponsible actions of neighbors who inherited the apartment bequeathed to them by E.N. Tilicheeva.
Not only musical texts, manuscripts were not preserved, all photographs and newspaper publications related to the work of E.N. Tilicheeva. A few archival materials were found in the funds of the Ryazhsky Museum of Local Lore, whose employees closely followed the composer's creative path during his lifetime and carefully kept photographs and publications about the composer in the local press. Kudos to them for this.
Today, of the above, we can present only children's pieces for violin and piano and the romance "Adele" based on Pushkin's verses. But even these works can give an idea of the peculiarities of the author's creative manner.
In the late 40s, life and creative ways E.N. Tilicheeva and V.Yu. Tilicheeva disperse. Since 1946 E.N. Tilicheeva devotes herself to creating music for children. It was then that V. Fere and M. Rauchverger invited her to enter the children's section of the Union of Composers.
The first composition about children and for children, the vocal suite "Mishin's Day at the Country" (1946). E.N. Tilicheeva wrote on her own poems.
The cycle "Mishin's Day" is similar in theme to Mussorgsky's "Children's" cycle. These are romances-sketches in which the inner world of children is depicted. The narration comes from the name of the main character of the cycle - the boy Misha. Other images of the cycle arise from Misha's mentions - these are sister Ella, mom, dad, as well as a locomotive flying forward. Hour after hour, the whole day of the child appears in the cycle, from early morning to late evening. And each time of the day and experience is dedicated to a separate number of the cycle, all of them are linked together according to the principle of contrast-picture dramaturgy. For example, "Morning", "Sister Ella", "Let's run to meet dad."
Children's period of creativity.
Since 1948, the composer has been writing music exclusively for children to perform. Focusing on the possibilities of a child's voice and using exclusively the average range of the vocal part (from "re" of the first octave to "do" - "re" of the second), the author richly paints the accompaniment with harmonic colors, uses the techniques of orchestral writing, likening the sound of a piano symphony orchestra. For example, one should note the bold register and dynamic oppositions in the texture of the accompaniments, which give the sound of the piano the color and dynamics of a symphony orchestra.
Even in works for the smallest performers E.N. Tilicheeva showed exceptional inventiveness and composing skills in coloring the accompaniment part, while never overloading it with texture and dynamic and not forgetting about the dynamic possibilities of the child's voice (children sing with the ends of the chords in dynamics from "p" to "mp").
For toddlers and toddlers preschool age, from 1 year 6 months to 3 years old, compositions for musical-rhythmic movements were written, which are very easily absorbed by children, do not require memorization, and at the same time music is not elementary. Many of these exercises involve speaking and singing by children. early age syllables available to them (ta-ta, la-la, top-top, clap-clap, etc.). Examples of such compositions can serve as "Little field", "Charging", "Yes - yes yes!", "Doll walks and runs", "Airplane" from the collection "Music in Kindergarten" edited by N.A. Vetlugina.
Great value T.N. Tilicheeva gave the Russian song intonation to the assimilation by young children. She created songs in authentic Russian folk texts, transforming into them musical intonations Russian song folklore. Thus, the composer continued the traditions of Russian classics, among which are the names of M.I. Glinka, N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov, M.P. Mussorgsky, M.A. Balakireva, S.V. Rachmaninoff (collections "Our Day" - 1953, "Rainbow" - 1948).
With sparing and concise means, the composer creates precise and vivid images. The songs in these cycles alternated according to the principle of contrast, embodying the stylistic features of folk song genres, such as chants, choruses, ritual labor, dance, round dance songs and ditties. An example of this kind of songs from the collection "Rainbow" is, for example, the song "Rainbow", written in the genre of invocation. From the collection "Our Day" can be cited as the most striking examples of the genres of the song "Go, spring!" (round dance) and “I milk the peas” (ritual - labor). In 1948, a cycle was written based on the text of S.Ya. Marshak "All the Year Round". The cycle contains 12 songs. Despite the stinginess of the vocal picture, due to the age restrictions of the child's voice, the songs of the cycle make a vivid artistic impression due to the author's masterful use of the artistic and expressive possibilities of the accompaniment part.
“February” seems interesting, where the musical and visual element of the howling of the February blizzard is combined with the intonations of the march of the chiming clock, dedicated to the Day Soviet army. The author managed to overcome the limits of the small form and reach the level of a dramatic contrasting two-part musical form.
"January". The author uses sparing means to convey the stupor of nature into the January cold.
This is a monotonous melody based on the repeated repetition of one sound, a fifth organ point in the bass, mean harmonization, onomatopoeic passages in the upper register of the accompaniment, reminiscent of the clink of ice floes.
It should be noted that in most of the songs of E.N. Tilicheeva, the world of the child is inextricably linked with the world of nature. Nature is in her work an integral natural sphere of life of a growing person. Obviously, the childhood impressions of the author, who grew up in a small town, affected middle lane Russia, where man is not separated from nature by the barriers of civilization, which brings the illusion of comfort, material well-being and security, but lives in a natural natural environment being a part of it. In this regard, the work of E.N. Tilicheeva can be called environmentally friendly, as it brings us back to the enthusiasm about summer rain, autumn leaf fall, spring drops, birds chirping, walking in the forest and similar values.
In 1952 E.N. Tilicheeva met a talented music director one of the kindergartens in Moscow by Vera Konstantinovna Kolosova. As a result of the creative collaboration between the musician-teacher and the composer, the album "Little Songs" (1953) was created, which became an experience in creating music school for babies. The songs that make up the collection are essentially vocal exercises for young children.
In the preface to the collection of V.K. Kolosova wrote: “In most children, especially at preschool age, the tongue is inactive and interferes with the ease of sounding. Very useful, for example, are exercises for syllables la-la-la (at the same time, the tip of the tongue fluctuates). In the song "Balalaika" these exercises are conveniently combined with the text. In the song "Pipe", "Airplane" exercises on the vowel "y" are useful.
Exercises for syllables are especially convenient and necessary. Ha-ha-ha! Ha-ha-ha! (in the songs "Nonsense", "Geese") and the syllables But! But! But! (in the song "Horse"), Tra-ta-ta! (in the song "Drum")
In practical work on singing, among those who sing correctly, there are often children with low, buzzing voices at the same sound. These children do not hear themselves and with their "hum" knock down the rest.
It is good to work on "Little Songs" with children who sing low, have an underdeveloped musical ear, but healthy vocal cords. You should start with the high sounds of the upper register, because the child hears them better than the sounds of the middle register. For example, in the songs “Geese”, “Drum”, “Horse”, at first the child sings only the upper sounds to the syllables Ga-ha-ha! - But! But! But! “Tra-ta-ta!”
Each of the songs in the collection is a pearl of the children's vocal-song repertoire, combining artistic and vocal-didactic merits. The author of the article can argue from his own experience that when working on the performance of these songs, 2-3-year-old children begin to intonate. The songs “Cuckoo”, “In the Forest”, “Horse”, “Nonsense” are especially good for this purpose.
In collaboration with V. N. Kolosova, a significant number of musical fairy tales for kids. T.N. Tilicheeva had the gift of creating dramatic compositions based on elementary musical material, corresponding to the possibilities of musical perception of preschool children. These are, for example, the fairy tales “Hares and the Fox”, “Snow Maiden”, fairy tales - the games “Cook”, “Apple tree”, etc. is the opposition of the chant-narrative remarks of the leader and the response patter of the choir group.
The great importance of E.N. Tilicheeva contributed to the creation of songs dedicated to children's calendar holidays. She never neglected such work and wrote these songs professionally and inventively, carefully finishing the texture to the utmost perfection.
For example, the song "What We Like in Winter" was probably created for the New Year holidays. In the essay musical means The vanity of children's cheerful winter amusements is masterfully conveyed (rapidly running down and then soaring up the line of the vocal part, the moving line of the post-lude melody of the piano accompaniment, the rapid tempo of the movement of music in short durations).
An interesting example of a children's patriotic song is "Motherland". made in best traditions Russian patriotic songs and anthem Soviet period, which is manifested in the majestic sound of the chord texture of the accompaniment and the hymnical nature of the vocal part. The song in full can become an adornment of the modern children's holiday dedicated civil event or anniversary.
In the early 60s, E.N. Tilicheeva was invited by a group of scientists - methodologists to create a "Musical primer", conceived as a teaching aid musical literacy preschoolers.
The famous Russian scientist - methodologist N.A. Vetlugina of the Soviet period wrote in the Methodological Guidelines for the Musical ABC Book: “The book is the first attempt to create a system for teaching young children from notes in order to ensure the development of melodic hearing, a sense of rhythm, voice (all exercises are given on the sounds of “FA” of the first octaves - "DO" of the second octave, that is, on sounds convenient for singing children of this age).
The manual consists of 4 sections. For the first section, E.N. Tilicheeva wrote 21 miniature songs, the intonation of each song represents the interval from prima to seventh. Gradually, the material becomes more melodically developed, the vocal part includes combinations of various melodic intervals and various rhythmic ratios of durations. So, the song "Chicks" is built on the prima interval, "Swing" - on the interval of the seventh, in the song "Echo" the seventh is beaten, etc. According to the authors of the manual, such a study of intervals in a figurative - playful form should lead to the assimilation by a small student basic interval ratios of the European music system. According to the author of the article, these songs, after detailed vocal and choral elaboration, can be used to play guessing intervals.
Several numbers of the first section are written for singing on one sound for singing long sounds on “LE” and short sounds on “LI” in various rhythmic combinations, which makes it possible to actively develop the rhythmic sense of children at the same time as educating children's pitch hearing and singing intonation. All numbers of the section are carefully harmonized by the author, which leaves the impression of an artistically perfect musical text, despite the extreme fragmentation of the exercises included in the collection.
The second section of the primer "Let's sing from notes" is devoted to the study of the basics by a preschool child. musical notation. The authors gradually lead the little student from the ratios of durations musical sounds to the concept music staff depending on their altitude.
The third section “Sing according to the notes! Includes 8 songs by E.N. Tilicheeva and 2 Russian folk songs - the game "Shadow-Shadow" and the dancing "Near the raw oak". The songs written by Tilicheeva are examples of different genres - the march "To visit the pioneers", the lullaby, the lyrical song "March 8", the folk - play "Rain", the dance "Polka", the landscape miniature "Evening", a vocal and instrumental miniature programmatic character with an element of figurativeness "Riddle". Work on these songs will require the child to perform a variety of musical and performing tasks in terms of sound formation, sound science, diction, dynamics, according to the nature of the music being performed.
The fourth section is an application - the game "Music Lotto" with blank cards for placing them on the stave.
Exactly on final stage passing the tutorial, it is advisable to conduct the final game through the pages of the "Primer" - "Guessing", i.e. the task is set in the songs "Chicks", "Starlings and Crows", "Echo", "Swing", etc. determine the name, what interval underlies the melody, in the song "Riddle" - determine by the sound of the accompaniment, without words, who the song is about. There may be other options for tasks, it all depends on the imagination of the teacher.
Elena Nikolaevna wrote a lot of plays for children to perform on toy musical instruments. The composer obviously created these plays by order of N.A. Vetlugina, for the collections "Music in Kindergarten", the compiler of which she was for many years in collaboration with I. Dzerzhinskaya and T. Lomova.
We settled on the main musical genres for preschool children, in which the composer E.N. Tilicheeva. Based on the material shown at the seminar, I would like to hope that the legacy of the composer will not be forgotten, as it turned out, unfortunately, the legacy is lost early period dedicated to music for academic compositions.
Legacy of E.N. Tilicheeva, created for children, is undoubtedly of enduring value in cultural heritage Russia, because her works bear the stamp of great talent and high professionalism.
Everything created by Elena Nikolaevna for children is a bright page in the national music pedagogy and is still waiting for its researcher and deserves to be published and systematized.

We are squirrels today
Today we are bunnies
We jump and jump
We never cry.
Educator. Once a squirrel wove a basket out of willow twigs.
Why do you need a basket? - the bunny was surprised.

V. Stepanov
The squirrel's basket is full. Let's see what the squirrel has collected.
The teacher takes out berries, nuts, cones, mushrooms, acorns from the basket. Children name them.
The hare did not understand why the squirrel was collecting all this. He himself never made any reserves for the winter. But under the warm, summer sun, he had fun with his bunny brothers, sang songs and played instruments.

Children get up in pairs, forming a sleigh, and leave the room.
Lesson 19 FROST AND BIRDS
EQUIPMENT
Illustrations: children sledding, animals in winter, birds in winter; cat toy.

Song with movements "Santa Claus" (see appendix, p. 115)
Educator. A little frost will let go - the kids are already sledding from the mountains, laughing, having fun, no frost
fear. (Shows an illustration of children sledding.)
The game "Sled" (p. 52)
Educator. Forest animals are also not afraid of frost - they have a warm fur coat. (Shows the illustration “Animals in Winter.”) The frost cannot get through the fur coat, no matter how hard it tries, but it is impossible to freeze the animals. Animals also laugh at the frost, rely on their feet: they can always run away from the cold.
Exercise "Forest guests" (p. 49)
Educator. Birds feel bad in the cold: they don’t have warm fur to keep warm, they don’t have worm bugs to eat. (Shows the illustration “Birds, in winter.”) What to do? We need to help the birds.
But birds! So cold
They are in the air!
Will we help
So defenseless?
They need to be fed
It will be easy for them to survive the cold.
E. Blaginina
Just now, a titmouse bird has flown to our window.
The yellow bird is knocking on the window,
The bird from the path is a little tired.

A. Usachev
The game "Cat and Birds" (p. 54)
Educator. The cat did not catch the birds, she left dissatisfied. And the children hung a feeder on a tree near the kindergarten and fed the birds every day for a walk. Now the birds are not afraid of frost either. Frost sees that no one is afraid of him, and did not freeze so much, did not let in the icy cold. Another month will pass and spring will come.
