The award aims to find new authors whose work preserves the traditional values ​​of Russian literature. Works of all genres are accepted for the competition, however, authors are encouraged to submit works related to Russian history written in the spirit of respect for the peoples and cultures that have shaped the face of today's multinational Russia.

The competition for the award "Heritage" is held in three stages:

1. At the first stage (nomination), the editorial committee considers the works of the author and decides on the possibility of his participation in the collective collection "Heritage". All authors published in competitive collections are included in the long list of the award.
2. In the second stage, members high jury they evaluate the works published in almanac competitions and select the finalists of the award by compiling a short list.
3. At the third stage, the works of the finalists, approved by the members of the Prize jury, are published in a separate collection at the expense of the Prize Organizing Committee. Regulations on the literary award "Heritage"

1. Targets and goals

1.1 The Heritage Literary Prize was established by the Russian Union of Writers together with the International Union of Writers in order to find talented works dedicated to Russia and its centuries-old history.

1.3 Competitive selection is carried out on the basis of publication in the almanacs "Heritage" (2018-2019).

1.4 The selection of laureates is carried out by the jury of the Prize, the composition of which is formed by the Organizing Committee of the Prize.

1. The order of nomination and evaluation of works

2.1 Citizens can participate in the competition for the Prize Russian Federation, as well as other countries who have reached the age of 16.

2.2 The works nominated for the competition must be written in Russian in verse or prose. The competition is not allowed works of low artistic quality, as well as inappropriate ethical standards and traditional values ​​of Russian society.

2.4 The first stage of the competition for the Prize:

2.4.1 The author has the right to propose his works for consideration to the editorial committee. Applications from authors are accepted in in electronic format to one of the email addresses: , In case of a positive decision, the author becomes a nominee for the Prize.

2.4.2 The editorial committee independently studies the works of authors and, on its own initiative, nominates those worthy to participate in the competition by notifying them by e-mail. These authors also receive the status of award nominees. The status is confirmed by the diploma of the nominee.

2.5 The second stage of the competition for the Prize:

2.5.1 To participate in the competition, the Prize nominees publish their works in competition almanacs. The authors jointly finance the cost of publishing the almanac in proportion to the number of pages that their works occupy. Only works published in the prize almanacs participate in the competition.

2.6 The third stage of the competition for the Prize:

Honestly, for the first time I encountered a situation where, in order to participate in a poetry competition and fiction established property qualification. I did not really read the terms and conditions of the Heritage competition and immediately decided that everyone can participate in it, and then those who were nominated for this competition can print their works in the almanac at their own expense. It could not occur to me that first you need to deposit money and only then you can participate in the competition. Therefore, I sent two of my works, passed qualifying round and gasped that I needed to pay 51 thousand rubles. until March 21 and deferred payment is unacceptable. I can’t afford to pay this amount, and I left the race.

But, probably, this insult made me think about whether this competition is being held correctly. Can you imagine that royal family asked Yesenin to pay for her invitation? No, of course, I am far from Yesenin, I do not pretend to be a genius, but the principle itself is important. Her Highness Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna only reads the works of the rich, or what?

It seems to me that some kind of symbolism is violated in such a production. If a tree grows into the ground with its roots, then a person grows into native land generations of their ancestors. The history of our country is part of our soul. Our roots in Kievan Rus, but all subsequent eras have found a place in our hearts as part of the Russian soul. A special role was played by the 19th century, the golden age of Russian literature, and in it the story of Pushkin, who not only wrote himself, but also had a biography that could compete with a fascinating novel. Pushkin died in a duel, saving his honor. And not only he fought duels, saving honor. The 19th century largely shaped our concept of honor as such. But the life of the society of that era is connected by many associations with the house of the Romanovs. We read about difficult relationship Pushkin with the Tsar, about balls, about etiquette and even about the culinary successes of the Tsar's cooks, and all this is part of our Russian soul. Russian identity does not depend on the thickness of our wallets. If this competition was held under a different name, then God bless him! But "heritage" is a holy word. This is what people receive from their ancestors and must pass on to their descendants, this is from the category of spiritual values. But spiritual values ​​are still not measured by the thickness of the wallet.

It is humanly clear to me that literature in our time can only exist at the expense of authors, that because of the Internet, paper publications are read less and less, which is possible Her Highness grand duchess can't see well and has to type large print that all this is conceived out of good intentions.

But still, it hurts to the core. In my opinion, it is necessary either to change the name so that the holy word does not refer to the thickness of the wallet, or print the almanac on cheaper paper so that the publication of your works is accessible to mere mortals, or first hold a competition, and then publish the nominated works.

The House of the Romanovs is a particle of our symbolism, an integral part of Russia, a kind of museum of our history, which decorates and enlivens this history and state. And what will this symbolism look like if the head of this house refuses to read someone's brilliant work and prefers the worst work simply because it is written by a rich person? This fact itself is perceived as some kind of attempt on this symbolism.

We write not for awards and not for congratulations. We want to be heard. And I sent my works not for the prize, but to be heard. But if prizes are established, in my opinion, they should not discriminate against authors if, in the words of Catullus, "their wallet is overgrown with cobwebs."

Rich and poor, we are still one people, we still have general history and general symbolism, and there is something sacred in this symbolism, and it should not be taken lightly.

In my opinion, this format of the competition is not suitable. Still, royalty is not manifested in the quality of paper and cover. Still, content is more important than expensive paper.

Meals (lunches and dinners) can be organized in two ways:

A program of two or three performances with a total duration of no more than 12 minutes is submitted for the competition. On the day of the competition it is planned to mark the stage. The temporary order of performance for each team is determined by the organizing committee and, upon the arrival of the team in Moscow, is reported to the head of the team.
