Hoya's real name. Biography of Yuri Khoy

The leader of the punk group "Gaza Strip" Yuri Khoi, whose cause of death (according to official documents) - heart attack, left behind a large number of riddles. In one of his songs, he sang that one would not live to be forty here. The author failed to reach this milestone. He died at the age of 35 full years. He was only 23 days short of his 36th birthday. The tragedy happened on July 4, 2000.

Birth of a 90s Idol

Yuri Nikolaevich Klinskikh (pseudonym - Yuri Khoy), whose biography is very interesting, was born on 07/27/1964. It happened in Voronezh. school years the future singer passed with which he spent more time than with textbooks. Accordingly, Yuri could not be called an excellent or good student.

Despite the fact that Yura grew up in an ordinary Soviet working-class family, he chose an informal image and lifestyle for himself, which was not well understood at that time. However, this did not affect the development of a specific literary mindset of his mind. Yuri independently wrote lyrics for his songs. His poems touched taboo topics, to which many of his compatriots were even embarrassed to speak.

Search for my self

After service in armed forces for some time he worked as a traffic police officer, but, not finding himself in this business, he left for the factory. In the late 80s, the first rock club opened in Voronezh. It was located in the industrial zone of the city, far from the center. At first, the singer performed solo, without the presence of strangers on stage. He sang his own songs. In 1987, Yuri Klinskikh created his own group and named it after this zone of the city - "Gaza Strip". The first performance of the group took place on December 5 of the same year.

fame and popularity

For the first 2-3 years, the young band was not popular and performed as the opening act for rock bands that came to the city. Gradually, in direct proportion to the fall in publicity in the country that had already begun to fall apart, obscene songs became more popular and accessible to the average listener. The population has finally gained access to previously taboo topics. Thus, pirated recordings of the Gaza Strip group appeared in Moscow kiosks. Yuri Khoy and his team, however, did not have any profit.

The group gained popularity only after the release of the third and fourth albums - The Evil Dead, Vigorous Louse. A year later, after Yuri Klinskikh sent recordings of songs to Moscow through his friend, he receives an answer and an invitation from the Mir recording studio.

The two previous albums were re-released and released on cassettes and records. Sector Gaza begins to cooperate with the first commercial recording company in the USSR, Gala Records. In 1994, in the summer, the group released another masterpiece that impressed many with its style. They became the punk opera "Koschei the Immortal". Yuri's future plans were to make a video version of this album. But a sudden death did not allow him to carry out his plan.

The mid-90s is considered the heyday of the band's popularity. But this does not bring musicians big earnings. Much of their work is sold as rewrites in the pirate market. The popularity of the group is confirmed by numerous tours in many cities of Russia and the Commonwealth countries.

Yura Klinskikh is changing his image. Biker jacket, T-shirt and jeans are replaced by an expensive suit and pressed shirt. There are also certain changes in creativity: there are fewer obscene words, song lyrics affect more serious topics and less scandalous. But this does not particularly affect the popularity of the group. Nevertheless, the album "Gas Attack" became the best-selling of all previously published.

Creation

Despite the fact that Yuri Khoy had no musical education, the band under his leadership reached an unprecedented peak of popularity and released 13 studio albums that you can listen to right now. Moreover, some fragments of his poems have become real and full-fledged quotations found in ordinary life, for example:

Valiant, honest and dear to the heart,

State traffic inspectorate, you are like a mother to us.

Personal life

Yuri Khoy, whose cause of death remains unsolved for many, was born into an ordinary working-class family. Parents worked at the Voronezh steel plant. Despite his image as a fighter for freedom of speech and informal, he was married and had two daughters, Irina and Lilia.

With his future wife, Galina, Yuri met before the army. After demobilization, they played a wedding. Although since 1991, after meeting Olga Samarina, the singer began whirlwind romance He didn't leave the family. Nevertheless, Yuri did not hide his relationship with his mistress. According to mutual acquaintances, it was she who attracted Hoy to drugs.

Poets death

The ambulance, which arrived at the call, recorded the deceased young man: the girl next to him called him by name - Yuri Khoi. The cause of death was unacceptable to many. Having never had heart problems, the singer died of a heart attack.

The second option of what Yuri Khoy died from is drug addiction and alcoholism, which together slowly but surely killed a young talented guy. But this version is unofficial. The singer told all his relatives and friends that he had already given up drugs.

From official documents, nothing is known except that hepatitis C was found in his blood. The police did not conduct a separate investigation, since the medical report recorded an ordinary death without traces of crime.

"The fight of extrasensories"

The specific and frank themes that the singer chose for his songs influenced later life his relatives even after the death of Yuri. The fact is that on Yuri Khoi, the tombstone is periodically destroyed. It looks like it's breaking in half. The singer's daughter turned to television project"Battle of psychics" with a request to try to understand this strange issue.

A recording of the reports of famous sorcerers and magicians was posted in the 15th season in the 5th episode of the project. During the discussions, one of the burst tombstones. Some psychics have been able to accurately indicate that the element covered with cloth was brought to the studio from the cemetery. Tatyana Larina was even transported to the realm of the dead and was able to communicate with the deceased there. She said that he asks his relatives for forgiveness and begs them not to blame him for his untimely death.

Others argued that the person to whom this monument was erected very often walked on a razor's edge: he drank alcohol, took drugs, performed at his concerts with songs on behalf of the dead, praising death:

... You can't run away from her,

She can't breathe.

I will take a bike

And I will go to that world.

Well I went...

In addition, the death of the band's keyboardist was predicted by the magicians from the "Battle of Psychics" project. Yuri Khoy, according to them, brought evil to all members of the famous band with his songs, and now they are doomed.

Loss

So why did Yuri Khoy die? Was it hepatitis C caused by previous alcohol and drugs, or is it just a normal heart attack? Or maybe otherworldly forces are involved in this? This question still remains unsolved, because the author has repeatedly mentioned death, vampires, ghouls, the dead, Satan, witches in his poems.

Hoy devoted his last album, Hellraiser, almost entirely to otherworldly forces. Moreover, relatives remind that he died while trying to record the last song from his 13th album. This is another mysterious piece of life legendary singer by the name of Yuri Khoy. The cause of death of a man whose repertoire is equal in popularity to the poems of Viktor Tsoi still remains a mystery and keeps a lot of obscure.

Yuri Nikolaevich Klinsky (Khoy)(July 27, Voronezh - July 4, Voronezh) - Soviet and Russian musician, poet, composer, founder and leader of the Gaza Strip group.

Biography

Childhood

Yuri Klinskikh was born in Voronezh in the family of Nikolai Mitrofanovich, an engineer at the Voronezh Aviation Plant, and Maria Kuzminichna Klinskikh. At school, Yuri studied poorly, mostly in triples, but he had an irresistible passion for music. Passion for versification was instilled in him by his father, who wrote poetry and tried to publish. Yura learned early about the existence of Western rock culture, as rock and roll was often heard in the Klinsky family. Shortly thereafter, he decided to learn the guitar on his own. Dad's lessons were not in vain, so Yura began to compose poems, from which his first songs were later formed.

Youth and early career

Klinsky served in the Far East in tank troops. Demobilized in 1984. After serving in the army, Yuri worked for three years as a traffic police inspector and one year in private security, then as a milling machine operator, a CNC machine operator at the Voronezh Videofon, a loader, and wrote songs in his spare time. He perceived his work as a hobby, without even dreaming of big stage. After the opening of the rock club in Voronezh, he became a regular. In the spring of 1987, the club hosted a concert at which Yuri performed several songs own composition. For two years he performed solo or with guest musicians. The first composition of the group, called the Gas Sector, met on December 5, 1987 and changed frequently in the future. The name of the group was due to the nickname of the part of the Levoberezhny district of Voronezh, known for the tense environmental situation and criminal environment. As for the pseudonym, it came from Yuri's signature cry: "Hoi!", Which he often uttered during his performances.

At first, the Gas Sector performed as an opening act for groups that came to Voronezh, such as Sounds of Mu and Children. Due to the abundance of profanity in the lyrics, the Gas Sector remained in the underground for a long time. Yuri Klinskikh in those years worked first at a consumer electronics factory, then as a loader; music did not bring income. The group did not give concerts outside Voronezh, the records of the Gas Sector were distributed throughout the country by the efforts of fans.

heyday

The group gained general fame only in 1990 after the release of the albums The Evil Dead and Vigorous Louse, which Yura sent to Moscow with the help of his friend. In 1991, Sektor Gaza got the opportunity to record an album in Moscow at the Mir studio, soon the group’s recordings were published by one of the first commercial recording companies in Russia, Gala Records, after which the group’s popularity increased significantly and it was able to legally give concerts . The albums were officially released in Voronezh at the Black Box studio, and the Moscow studio Gala Records released them in 1994 and re-released them in 1997. The albums Kolkhozny Punk and Press the Gas were released in 1991 and 1993 respectively on LP, CD and cassette.

In June 1994, Yuri recorded the punk opera "Kashchei the Immortal" in the form of a new album. Later, Yuri wanted to create a video version of this album, but his death prevented this. He managed to shoot only a few scenes, and now there are video versions of the tracks on the Internet: "Ivan and the Frogs' Aria", "Ivan's Second Aria" and "Ivan's Third Aria".

Klinsky did not earn much money, due to the prosperity of "piracy", which affected the number of licensed discs sold, which is approximately 1% of the total. However, the group and its leader became quite famous in Russia and the CIS. Despite the fact that the band's later lyrics were more restrained, most fans and representatives music industry"Gas Sector" was associated with obscene language and bawdy songs. During creative activity The group went on tour in many cities of Russia and abroad.

Death

On July 4, 2000, at 11 am in Voronezh, Yuri died. On this day, he was going to go to the shooting of the video clip "Night of Fear". There are many rumors about the death of Yuri: according to official version he died of a heart attack, although he had no previous heart problems. By unofficial version, Yuri took drugs and suffered from hepatitis, which caused death. Until now, the true circumstances of his death remain a mystery. The last studio work of the Gas Sector group was the album HellRaiser, which was released after the death of Yuri Klinsky.

Yuri's death was preceded by strange circumstances. So, at his last concert, he tried to perform the song "Demobilization" to the soundtrack, but he failed to do this and simply left the stage. The sound engineer of the group Andrei Deltsov recommended that the same song be included in the next album when recording the last album Hellraiser (it allegedly did not fit in style), but Yuri convinced the sound engineer not to do this, fearing not to live to see the next album. In one of the songs, he also sang: “The gas sector - you won’t live to be forty here,” and by coincidence, he did not live to see the 36th anniversary of 23 days.

  • Klinsky was never a member of any party. Despite this, the Gas Sector group performed for some time at LDPR propaganda concerts. Yuri commented on it as follows:

Musician, poet, composer, founder and permanent leader of the Gaza Strip group.

"It's probably better to live without having anything... You become free, like an animal, like a bird... The sky... A lot of time for creativity..." Yury Klinskikh.

His mother, Maria Kuzminichna, was a housewife, and his father, Nikolai Mitrofanovich Klinskikh, was an engineer who worked at the Voronezh aircraft plant. Yuri was not the only son of the Klinsky couple, he had two older brothers. Yuri from childhood grew up as a smart and inquisitive boy, interested in everything he could see. At school, Yuri did not stand out for anything special, he studied for triples and wore home “bad luck” for his behavior. In his diploma of secondary education there was only one B in labor. Yuri often did not go to the first lessons, while staying up late at home with books. He was honest and tried never to lie.

older brothers with young age introduced Yura to music, in the Klinsky house one could often hear rock and roll. All three brothers besides Soviet music listened to bands The Beatles and Deep Purple - first on records, then on reels. The father taught the youngest son to poetry, the study of literature and the rules of versification. He himself wrote poetry all his life, published, but without much success. The lessons given by Nikolai Mitrofanovich later appeared in the rollicking songs of his son, which, despite the "ugly" in the opinion literary critics, content, had "impeccable style and style".

If Yura's father helped with the syllable, then vacations in the village helped with maintenance, where Yuri often left for the whole summer. Another source of inspiration for Yuri was horror films - first Soviet ones, such as "Viy", then - any that could be obtained on cassettes. Hoy learned to play the guitar at school and then composed his first songs.

After graduating from school and studying at DOSAAF, where Yuri received driver license, Yuri was drafted into the army in tank troops.

Its part was stationed in the Far East. Shortly before serving in the army, he met his future wife Galina. Without much incident, Yuri served in Blagoveshchensk as a tank driver and was demobilized in 1984.

After the army, Yuri went to work in the traffic police, but did not take root in the police. “In order to work in the police, you need a bad person to be. There are, of course, normal people there, but they don’t belong there, ”Yuri said later. He himself always loved speed and cars, he tried not to fine drivers who slightly exceeded the speed limit, he felt sorry for people from the villages. At the same time, he did not like to fawn on his superiors. Once, Yuri stopped the mayor of Voronezh, who was driving through a red light. And to the question: “Do you know who I am?”, - he answered that he did not want to know. On another occasion he stopped an important priest, and on both occasions he got himself in trouble. In addition, Khoi could never fulfill the plan for fines assigned by the traffic police. Three years of work in the police were real hard labor for him.

The last few months of his service in the internal affairs bodies, Yuri served in private security, counting the days until the new "demobilization". As Nikolai Mitrofanovich later recalled, Yuri barely worked the last day in the police, came home, took off his uniform, threw it on the floor and began to trample it with his feet. Having finished his bad, in his opinion, work, Yuri worked as a milling machine operator, a CNC machine operator at Videofon and a loader. In his free time, he wrote songs and played the guitar. He bought a Volga-31 and almost crashed on it on a Moscow highway somewhere near Tula. Yuri sold the car restored after the accident, and after that he tried to stay away from domestic car brands. Among his next cars was a red diesel VolksWagen Golf III and a white Daewoo Nexia with power accessories and air conditioning.

In his free time from part-time work, Yuri watched mystical films or horror films, played billiards and studied music. In the period from 1981 to 1985, he recorded an acoustic album "The years pass like a moment ..." on a tape recorder. And when a rock club opened in Voronezh, Yuri became a regular. At a spring concert in 1987, he played for the first time several songs, which he began writing at the same time - in February and March. As Yuri later said, he did not like the poverty of amateur bands and he decided to enrich the rock club with his participation. “I wrote my first poem at school, I remember something about spring. Then, before the army, he learned to play the guitar and tried to do something. But the songs were primitive, about love, every such trifle. Then, when he came from the army, he worked at the factory and did not think about anything. When the rock club opened, I looked at amateur bands, I didn’t like their poor topics, I remember they sang something about the world, about love, about something so incomprehensible. I decided to shake the old days. And since the experience has already remained, I began to get pretty good. Everyone liked it, and that’s how it all went ... ”, - Yuri later said.

Yuri sang solo in the club or invited someone. On December 5, 1987, he assembled the first line-up of his Gaza Strip and sang the songs “I am scum”, “Crazy Corpse”, “Drowned Man” and “Collective Farm Punk” on the stage of a rock club. “I never considered myself a punk ...”, - Yuri said at the same time.

At first, Sector Gaza performed as an opening act for groups that came to Voronezh, such as Sounds of Mu and Children. The name "Gaza Strip" was for Yura a "mysterious combination" and at the same time - its "on the board" Voronezh reality. In his childhood, it was heard because of the Arab-Israeli confrontation, which was then often talked about on the radio. And in Voronezh, this was the name of an industrial zone with a large number of factories and smoking chimneys, and a corresponding criminal atmosphere, where a rock club was located. In general, it was easy for Yuri to come up with a name for his team. According to him, it was "a local name for a band that wasn't going to go beyond urban rock clubs". In the future, the composition of the Gaza Strip has undergone many changes throughout its existence, but the soloist and leader of the group has always remained the same: Yuri Khoi selected people for himself.

Two years later, by 1989, the group recorded two "cassette" albums - "Plows-woogie" and "Collective farm punk". The quality of the recordings was terrible, and they sold exclusively in Voronezh. The breakthrough for the team was the album "Evil Dead", published in 1990.

Many works, especially from early songs, were autobiographical for Yuri. The songs "Java" and "Ment" were written after Yuri left the sobering-up station, and the songs "Very Louse" and "I Took the Blame" were dedicated to my brother. At that time, Yuri himself tried to "dissolve" himself and " lyrical hero"-" a sort of monster in smelly socks, who suffered from all known venereal diseases and earned impotence. He said that singing about human vices is not the same as endorsing them. For Yura, such songs were, rather, some special way of dealing with them.

Hoy never considered himself a classic "punk". “Maybe at the beginning of creativity, pure “punk” was visible in some places,” he said in his interviews. Basically, Yuri did what he personally liked, without being attached to the style. Indeed, musically, his albums were quite diverse. Yura himself defined the style of his team as "fusion".

We were born with a mother, we live with a mother.
With mothers we studied, with mothers we will die.
We ate Matershin with mother's milk.
With my mother, my dad beat my mother with his fist.

Hoya's role models and favorite music were western groups- Rage Against The Machine, Biohazard, AC/DC and Alice Cooper. In recent years, Yura was influenced by heavy rap with its blues, clear rhythms and rock guitars, and throughout his career he loved punk and death metal. In an interview, Yuri said: "Gaza Strip" is not even a group, but one of my projects. Even now I cannot say that "Sector" is a group. It's more like a live line-up, because I always work alone in the studio. And since 1992 I have been inviting Igor Zhirnov, the guitarist of the Rondo group. I am not at all a supporter of changing musicians, as, say, the same BG does. If someone left, then only of his own free will. The main thing in the team is that the person should not be goaty. After all, sometimes the tour can drag on for several weeks or even more. And to be near such a person - no, I'm sorry.

The pseudonym "Khoy" clung to Yura immediately and quite firmly. In general, this exclamation was then used by many performers - from Venya D'rkin to Yegor Letov, borrowing something from Oi! British cockney music, or from the minds of BG, but only Yuri Klinskikh made him a pseudonym. “Hoi, young month! Hanging - nailed!" - said Venya D'rkin. As Yuri himself said: “Hoi” is just an exclamation, I often say it during songs. The fact that it reminds someone of Tsoi (with whom Yura was personally, albeit sporadically, familiar) is an accident. However, in the last years of his life, Yuri began to use the pseudonym "so that there are no problems with traffic cops" less. And then they will stop, and he, “What are you, guys, I’m a soloist in the Gaza Strip. And they - “Lie! Hoi sings there."

After the success of the Evil Dead and Vigorous Louse albums, which Yuri sent to Moscow with the help of his friend, the group began performing at various parties, but Yuri quickly got tired of it. "When we went to big stage, then a person who had previously worked only with “pop music” began to deal with us and who, at the word “rock and roll”, began to feel sick, ”Yuri Khoy said in an interview.

Yuri did not want to move to Moscow - “the depraved city of impudent youth”, although he took advantage of the opportunity to record at the Mir studio. His recordings were published by one of the first Russian labels - Gala Records. Yuri began legal concerts, and with him - concerts of fake "Khoi" in the cities. Yuri himself did not like to "shine" and deliberately supported the growth of rumors and legends about his group. Because of the huge sales on cassettes, everyone knew his group, but most audio media were released by pirates. Hoy did not complain, he lived from the percentage that Gala Records paid him after the realization of rights in Moscow, official releases on Black Box in Voronezh and numerous concerts. “I am not ashamed of my city, I have lived in it all my life, in it, most likely, I will die ...”, said Yuri.

During their creative activity, the group has toured many cities in Russia and abroad - in Belarus, Germany, Israel, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Ukraine and Estonia. The albums were released in 1994, then re-released by Gala Records in 1997.

"Push the Gas" and "Collective Farm Punk" were also released in 1991 and 1993 - already on CDs and permanent cassettes. In 1991, at his concert in Moscow, Yuri met Olga Samarina, whom he later met in the last years of his life, not hiding this from his wife Galina.

The popularity of the Gaza Strip group grew very quickly. It is known that Vladimir Zhirinovsky was delighted with the songs of the Gaza Strip, and the apolitical Khoy "reciprocated" the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, but - for money. Yura did not have his own political predilections, sending all politics “... in the ass. Gimlet!

political system he was quite satisfied, because he had the opportunity to earn good money from his talent. “We don’t care who we play for, we are far from politics. Zhirinovsky pays - we play for Zhirinovsky, another faction will pay - we will play for it, ”said Yuri Khoy. However, Hoy believed that if he had to get stuck in the loaders, then, of course, he would be dissatisfied with the government.

Everyone says: everything is very good in the West.
Whoever says this to me like this, I will grind it to powder!
Everything that is Soviet is nishtyak - cars and pants,
Let everything be expensive, but everything is ours, boys.

As popularity grew, Hoya's songs became virtually folk music, music of demobilizations, vocational schools, students and rural youth. Zhlobrockgroup - so ironically often called the "Gaza Strip" - a group that Hoy himself compared to porn, and which was not accepted by either rock or pop music. Even Yuri Nikulin liked the work of the group. After Yuri Khoy played a concert at the Nikulin Circus, the famous artist invited the young man to his dressing room. Under the words of admiration and gratitude, Nikulin took out a bottle of cognac and invited Khoi to talk. The artist himself was so flattered by these compliments that he often told his friends and relatives about this incident.

The songs of Yuri Khoi amazed the listeners with their frankness. He opened the deepest recesses with surgical precision. human soul, which were not discussed in the USSR. His work aroused either deep interest or protest from the audience. The artistry of the band leader and only live performances were the opposite of the concerts of the performers who performed to the soundtrack. Yuri Khoy also caused a stir off the stage: for example, during one of his recent concerts in Voronezh, he rode around the city on a horse, portraying Koshchei the Immortal. Regarding his image, Yuri Khoy had a very interesting position - he tried to talk less about the group, believing that the lack of complete information causes more excitement in the listener.

It is known that Yuri wanted to play in a concert with the DDT or Alisa groups, but he was not called, and he himself did not ask for it. In 1994, he recorded the punk opera Kashchei the Immortal, which was a thrash mixture of Russian fairy tales and music in the spirit of AC / DC, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Ace Of Base. For this "fairy tale" it was planned to create a video sequence, but this was prevented by the death of Yuri. He managed to shoot only a few scenes, and now there are working video versions of the tracks on the Internet: "Ivan and the Frogs' Aria", "Ivan's Second Aria" and "Ivan's Third Aria".

Hoy filmed a video for the song "Fog" - with a black and white chronicle Russian wars. In total, the Gaza Strip released 4 clips. The fifth video for the song "Night of Fear" was not completed due to the death of the singer.

Since 1996, Yuri Khoy has changed the style of the group several times, many of the texts have become more serious and cleared of obscenities. The result of these experiments was the album "Gas Attack", which later became the most commercially successful in the history of the group. In 1999, Yuri Klinskikh became a character in the comic strip "The Adventures of Yura Khoi in the Kingdom of Evil." The comic consisted of fabulous adventures, the hero of which was the leader of the Gaza Strip himself, who collected his albums. The author of the comic was artist Dmitry Samborsky.

In the late 1990s, Sector Gaza released a number of techno-remixes featuring the Voronezh DJ Krota. In the last years of his life, Yuri decided to change his image and sound. Instead of leather jackets, torn jeans, old T-shirts and army boots, black expensive shoes, dark trousers and a shirt appeared in his wardrobe. Instead of the rollicking "kolkhoz" punk, the listeners were offered the "cool heavy" of the last album. “I always strove for a heavy sound,” said Yuri Khoy.

By the end of the 1990s, friends began to suspect that he had a strong drug addiction. In addition, as friends believed, his companion Olga was a drug addict. “I have tried almost all drugs, but I’m not used to anything and I’m not going to get used to it. I tried it - and that's enough, ”said Yuri Khoy.

In 2000, Yuri was full of the brightest plans. For three years he nurtured the concept of a new album, which was originally supposed to be called "Poor Yurik". In 1998, Yuri changed the name to Hellraiser, deciding to make a completely mystical rap album, which Yuri completed in June 2000. But its release did not wait.

By the release of this thirteenth album, Hoy planned to shoot a video clip. He had sponsors ready to invest significant resources in advertising. On July 4, 2000, he was going to go to the shooting of the video clip "Night of Fear" at the Art-Prize studio in Voronezh. Operator Oleg Zolotarev, on the air of the Tower program on RTR in the fall of 2000, recalled working together on the video Night of Fear: “Already in June, he called me and said that we would urgently shoot the video. On June 22, they started filming for the first time. Last time The shooting was scheduled for the exact day of his death. We agreed on four hours a day. I sat waiting for him. I waited, waited, waited ... Andrey Deltsov called instead of him, said that Yura was no more.

On July 4, the shooting was scheduled for 16 hours, Khoy himself and his girlfriend Olga Samarina were supposed to take part in it. Before filming, they had to visit the make-up artist at the Theater of the Young Spectator. In the morning, Yuriy felt unwell, he was pale, his forehead was covered with perspiration, he could not understand what was happening to him, but after drinking an aspirin, he decided to go anyway.

At 11:30, Yuri Khoi and Olga Samarina left their rented apartment on Dorozhnaya Street, in the South-Western District. By car, they went to the make-up artist, a meeting with which was scheduled for 12:00. At 11:40 on the road, Yuriy felt worse and worse, and decided to change the route. He turned onto Barnaulskaya Street, where his friend Andrey Ksenz lived in the private sector. Hoy went to his house and immediately lay down on the sofa, unable to stand on his feet. He was tormented strong pain in the left side and abdomen. Olga was nearby. Soon she went into another room for cigarettes, and there she heard a roar - it was Yuri who fell to the floor, losing consciousness.

Olga and the owner of the house unsuccessfully tried to bring Khoy back to life by giving him artificial respiration. They tried to call an ambulance, however, they flatly refused to write down the address with a dubious reputation as a drug den. From the fifth time, Samarina still managed to transfer the address. She ran outside to meet the ambulance. At this time, Yuri died.

Later in the official medical documents it was written: “ Sudden death". As for the unofficial version, there were many. We can only say for sure that Yuri was killed by his lifestyle, frantic tours, work for wear and tear - in the last 10 years at concerts, Hoy always gave all his best and never looked after his health. The consequences of a turbulent youth could not but affect: “From the age of 23, I don’t remember myself being sober for a day,” Hoy described his youth in approximately this way.

I'm a very humble guy
I'm a very quiet guy.
In general, when I'm sober, I'm a clean standard.
But often I go wild, but often I shize

Who is Yuri Klinskikh, how did the Gas Sector group appear and what influenced the premature death of musician Khoy?

“Here you won’t live to be forty” - a line from a song by Yuri Khoy, which became a reality for him - the musician died at the age of 35. To love or not to love his work is everyone's business, but the popularity of this author of obscene poems can easily be compared with Tsoi's fame. On the birthday of the leader of the Gas Sector group, we remember how his fate turned out, how fame came and because of what his life ended.

How did you live?

Yuri Klinskikh was born (Khoi is a pseudonym) in Voronezh in an ordinary working-class family, his parents worked at a steel plant. In childhood, he did not let go of the guitar, but he did not particularly like school, he paid much more attention to music than to lessons. Later he began to write texts in which he raised various forbidden topics, but he nevertheless decided not to deviate from the social course familiar to that time - he served in the army and went to work in the traffic police, and then to the factory. The first performances, by the way, solo, began in the late 80s in the first city rock club, which was located in the local industrial zone. It was in honor of this urban area that he named his group "Gas Sector". The team appeared in 1987, but was not popular - they performed only as an opening act for visiting musicians. Gradually, in an already collapsing country, Khoy's obscene songs began to resonate in the hearts of the listeners. And the band's records began to appear on newsstands.

How did you become famous?

After the cassettes reached Moscow, Gaza began to cooperate with the first commercial recording company in the USSR, Gala Records. And in 1994, the team released the opera "Koschei the Immortal". Music education Klinsky, like many rock musicians, did not have, and this did not prevent the group from releasing 13 studio albums. The group performed a lot, went on tour, they listened to it, but this did not bring significant money to the musicians. Interesting to watch creative development Hoya. So, the leather jacket was replaced by a shirt and a suit, and there was less obscene language in the songs, but the group by that time was already so popular that fans accepted it in any form.

Who did you meet?

Yuri's personal life, no matter who said anything about it or cheated, was quite simple. Khoy had a wife, had mistresses. One of them, Olga Samarina, became the closest, and he spent most of his time with her - in fact, nothing special. Why did he like this particular young lady so much - no one will say, but is it even possible to answer such a question? It is she who is accused of drug addiction by the leader of the Gas Sector.

How did he die?

The ambulance, which arrived at the call, could no longer help Yuri Khoy and only recorded death from a heart attack, and many people who knew the musician simply did not believe it - he had no heart problems. There were suggestions that alcohol and drugs were slowly finishing him off, so some blame Samarina for the death of the singer, as she allegedly influenced his addiction. True, before his death, the singer told all his relatives and friends that he was done with drugs. The police did not conduct any investigations - law enforcement officers did not find any traces of crime.

Otherworldly forces are also accused of death - Hoy mentioned vampires and witches in songs. Hoy devoted his last, 13th album "Hellraiser" to various evil spirits, and relatives say that he died while trying to record the last song for this record. But this explanation seems completely ridiculous.

famous Soviet and Russian musician, punk rock music artist, composer, poet and leader musical group Gaza Strip Yuri Khoi was born in Russian city Voronezh. Yuri Khoy's date of birth is July 27, 1964 (07/27/1987). Hoi - creative pseudonym musician, his real name is Klinskikh Yuri Nikolaevich.

Yura Khoy's father was an engineer at a local aircraft factory. In studies, Yura Klinskikh did not particularly shine and studied, to put it mildly, averagely. But he had a great passion for music. Yura's father, Nikolai Mitrofanovich Klinskikh, was very fond of poetry himself, wrote poetry and instilled this love in his son. Yura Klinsky's parents loved rock and roll, and foreign music constantly sounded in their house. Yura himself was able to learn to play the guitar and began to try to write his first songs.

With his future wife, Galya, Yura Khoy met even before he left to serve in the army. Yuri Klinskikh served as a driver, he served in the Far East region. After demobilization in the eighty-fourth year, Hoy worked for three years as an inspector road service GAI, a year in the PSB (private security). Yuri changed many more professions - he was both a loader and worked at a factory, but he never forgot about music and Yuri Khoy devoted every free minute to writing new songs. At first, Hoy perceived music simply as entertainment, a hobby. He liked to go to the rock club in Voronezh. For the first time on stage, Yuri Khoy performed in the eighty-seventh year, he performed his songs in the Voronezh rock club. For a couple of years, Yuri sang by himself or with other specially invited performers.

The birthday of the now legendary punk rock band Gaza Strip can be considered December 5, 1987 (12/05/1987), when the first line-up of the band was formed. Unusual name group came from the nickname of one of the districts of the city of Voronezh, which was "famous" increased level crime and bad environment. The pseudonym Khoy is explained very simply - during the performances it was the original cry of Yuri, addressed to his audience.

At the beginning of its journey, Sektor Gaza was the opening act for popular rock performers who came to Voronezh on tour. But in the early nineties, the situation changed dramatically.
Gaza Strip released the music discs Vigorous Louse and Evil Dead. Khoy "secret paths" handed over his notes to the capital. Soon the musicians of the Gaza Strip, as they say, woke up famous. "Sector" began to be recorded at the Blackbox studio in Voronezh, at the Moscow recording studios "Mir" and "Gala Records". Hoy and his musicians officially came out of the underground and began to give legal concerts, and CDs and cassettes with their albums were sold on every corner.

In the summer of 1994, Yuri Khoy released a punk opera called Kashchei the Immortal, which was very popular with Gaza fans. Hoy dreamed of making a video version of this album, but he could only partially do it, so his plans were interrupted by his tragic death.

Despite the fact that in the nineties the Gaza Strip group was “on the crest of a wave”, Hoy and his colleagues could not boast of serious earnings, since almost all of their works were replicated on pirated media. But the musicians did not despair - their popularity was so high that the Gaza Strip was constantly invited on tour not only in Russia, but also in near and far abroad.

Of course, the lyrics of the songs of the Gaza Strip often contain a lot of profanity. But the popularity of their songs is not at all explained by this. It's just that Hoy always said what others were silent about or were embarrassed to say, he frankly sang about our life and this bribed the listener. After all, there are songs in Yuri Khoy's repertoire without profanity, but no less popular than all the others, for example, "Home", "Fog", "30 Years".

Yuri Khoy died on July 4, 2000 (07/04/2000). official reason the death of the singer - a heart attack (although before that the artist had not complained about his health). Informal - complications caused by drug use. One way or another, until now, the circumstances of the death of Yuri Khoy are shrouded in fog. The album "Hellraiser" was released after the death of the singer.

Yuri Khoy was married, he has two daughters - Ira and Lilya, born in 1984 and 1995.

  • Voronezh Mayor's Office has banned the erection of a monument to Gaza Strip leader Yuri Khoy According to a number of media reports, on July 27 in Voronezh a figurative monument to rock musician Yuri Klinskikh (Khoy) was to be unveiled. However, the administration of Voronezh believes that this is by no means impossible. The mayor's office said in a statement: “In some media there were reports about the opening in the VAI microdistrict (near the Nelson cafe) on July 27, 2014, on the day of the 50th anniversary of the leader of the Gaza Strip group Yuri Khoy (Klinskikh), a monument musician, which is a sculpture in full growth. Meanwhile, the administration of the city district of Voronezh did not give the applicants official permission to install any sculpture. On December 18, 2013, the issue was considered at a meeting of the city public commission on cultural heritage. Most of its members spoke out against the installation of a monument (urban sculpture) and recommended the installation of an art object dedicated to the Gaza Strip group in the VAI microdistrict. During further oral negotiations with the applicants, an agreement was reached on the need to work out the concept of the art object and its installation site, after which it is planned to meet to make a final decision. The initiators were also given a written response. To date, the project of the art object has not been submitted to the city department of culture, in connection with this, the installation of a monument to Yuri Khoi and the opening of the event on July 27 (the day of the Russian Navy) are not possible.”
