FRAGMENTS OF WORKS ECONOMIC DOCTRINES
BUT) The system of market economic relations is not perfect and self-regulating, it is internally unstable, and forced unemployment is its normal state. Therefore, the maximum possible employment and the economic growth can only ensure the active intervention of the state in the functioning of the market economy. The unemployment rate can be reduced only by expanding the volume of aggregate demand, for which it is necessary to maintain a stable general level of money wages. After all, it is the demand for goods and services that is of decisive importance for the volume of production in the economy. 1) Marxism

2) mercantilism

3) Keynesianism

4) monetarism

5) physiocracy

B) Markets are inherently stable in the absence of significant unanticipated fluctuations in the money supply. State intervention in many cases can destabilize the economy rather than promote it. Market economy– self-regulatory system, disproportions and other negative manifestations of it are associated with the excessive presence of the state in the economy. Therefore, the regulatory role of the state in the economy should be limited to control over money circulation. An increase in the money supply ultimately leads to higher prices and inflation. Inflation must be suppressed by any means, including by cutting social programs. The natural rate of unemployment has a positive effect on the country's economy, keeps real wages and prices stable.
AT) Only one factor is involved in the creation of new value - the worker, the owner work force. The hired worker receives wages for his work. Wage does not pay for labor, it serves as a form of payment for the specific commodity "labor power". The peculiarity of labor power lies in the fact that it has the ability to create a product (commodity), the cost of which is higher than the cost of labor power itself, that is, what is necessary to maintain the life of the worker and his family members. The worker is obliged to work more hours than is necessary to create goods equivalent to the amount of necessaries of life. The owner of the enterprise, hiring a worker, pays for his ability to work and acquires the right to make him work in excess of the time that the worker needs to buy a certain minimum of subsistence. As a result, a difference is formed between the value of the labor commodity produced by labor and the value of labor power - wages. This difference is the surplus value - a part of the worker's labor materialized in the commodity, appropriated free of charge by the owner of the enterprise.

Task 8

Solve an economic problem. Write your answers on the worksheet. Mr. T. is a citizen of states N and M. Country N has a progressive system of income taxation individuals. Income up to $10,000 e. not taxed per year. Income from 10,001 to 30,001 c.u. e. per year are taxed at a rate of 15%, income from 30,001 to 100,000 USD, and at a rate of 25%.

Income over $100,000 e. per year - at a rate of 35%. Country M has a flat tax system and all income, regardless of amount, is taxed at a rate of 20%.

In which country is it more profitable for T. to be a tax resident if he receives an income of 60,000 c.u. e. per year?

Answer:

Calculation of Mr. T.'s income tax in country N:

1) 10,000×0% = 0

2) 30,000 - 10,000 = 20,000 × 15% = 3000 c.u.

3) 60,000 - 30,000 = 30,000 × 20% = 6000 c.u.

Total tax in country N: 3000 + 6000 = 9000 y. e.

4) Calculation of the amount of income tax of Mr. T. in country M:

60,000 × 20% \u003d 12,000 c.u. e.

Therefore, it is more advantageous for Mr. T. to be a tax resident in country N

Task 11

Solve a logical problem. Give the necessary chain of reasoning. Write your answers on the worksheet.

Anastasia Ivanovna, Faina Sergeevna, Victoria Pavlovna and Galina Anatolyevna are family friends. They decided to ride with their daughters on the Ferris wheel. Together they ended up in the booths: Lena with Anastasia Ivanovna, Anya with Xenia's mother, Tamara with Anya's mother, Faina Sergeevna with her daughter Victoria Pavlovna, and Victoria Pavlovna with her daughter Anastasia Ivanovna.

Name who is whose daughter, if none of the girls skated with their mother.

Answer: According to the condition of the problem, none of the girls skated with their mother. Since Anastasia Ivanovna rode with Lena, she cannot be her mother. Xenia cannot be Anastasia Ivanovna's daughter, since Anya skated with Xenia's mother, and Lena skated with Anastasia Ivanovna, Anastasia Ivanovna cannot be Anya's mother, since Tamara, not Lena, skated with Anya's mother.

Thus, Anastasia Ivanovna is Tamara's mother.

Victoria Pavlovna skated with Tamara, and according to the condition of the problem, Tamara skated with Anya's mother, which means that Victoria Pavlovna is Anya's mother.

Faina Sergeevna skated with her daughter, Victoria Pavlovna, which means she skated with Anya.

According to the condition of the problem, Anya skated with Xenia's mother, which means that Faina Sergeevna is Xenia's mother.

Thus, Lena's mother is Galina Anatolyevna.

Lena is the daughter of Galina Anatolyevna; Anya is the daughter of Victoria Pavlovna; Tamara - daughter of Anastasia Ivanovna; Ksenia is the daughter of Faina Sergeevna.

The replacement of an old type of reproduction with a new one cannot happen all at once; it takes place gradually over the course of several generations of people. Therefore, with the beginning of the demographic revolution, the population enters a more or less long period, during which intermediate, transitional characteristics of population reproduction are observed, combining signs of the old and new types of demographic reproduction - the period of demographic transition. The demographic transition includes two main phases: the phase of decreasing mortality and the phase of decreasing fertility. In order for the demographic revolution to take place, both of these declines must occur, and in this sense, the demographic revolution occurs everywhere in the same way. But the speed of each of these declines, their interaction with each other, the sequence of their spread to different strata of society depend on a number of specific historical factors, including, as will be shown below, largely determined by the social system. Therefore, the demographic transition in different historical conditions can proceed (and is proceeding) in different ways, and the specific features of the demographic transition in a particular country are of great independent importance.

In most cases, the second phase of the transition (declining fertility) begins after more or less long time after the start of its first phase (decrease in mortality). During this time, declining mortality is matched by a consistently high birth rate, resulting in accelerated population growth. This acceleration continues until the second phase of the transition begins, after which the acceleration of population growth stops, and, as the decline in fertility “catches up” with the decline in mortality (and sometimes even overtakes it), population growth slows down, returning to about the pace that was observed before the start of the demographic revolution.

Thus, in the process of demographic transition, the population, as a rule, experiences a period of unprecedented rapid growth, so that its population in less than a century can grow much more than in its entire previous history. This huge increase in population short period time was called the "population explosion". The power of such an "explosion" depends on the specific situation in which the demographic transition is taking place.

Historical experience allows us to identify three typical patterns of demographic transition. The first type can be illustrated by the example of France, where (almost exceptionally) both phases of the transition began almost simultaneously, the decline in mortality and fertility went almost in parallel, which is why France did not know the "population explosion".

England, Sweden and a number of other countries of Western Europe provide examples of the second type of demographic transition. Here, the decline in mortality began at the same time as in France, the decline in the birth rate - a hundred years later. This explains the European "population explosion" of the 19th century, a characteristic illustration of which can be seen in the demographic development of England. Its population in 1800 was (without Northern Ireland) 10.9 million people (40% of the population of France). During the 19th century, the population of England grew by almost 26 million people, or 3.4 times (the population of France - by a little more than 40%), and at the same time several million more people emigrated overseas. AT Western Europe The “population explosion” stopped at the beginning of the 20th century as a result of a sharp and very rapid decline in the birth rate, which for some time even created the idea of depopulation in some countries.

Finally, the third type of demographic transition is characteristic of developing countries in our time. Mortality in these countries is declining very rapidly, and in many of them it is now much lower than anywhere else in the nineteenth century; the second phase of the transition, at best, is only just beginning, and even then, apparently, not everywhere. Therefore, the excess of births over deaths reaches enormous proportions, and the power of the "population explosion" far exceeds everything known so far. There is no doubt that these immediate consequences of the demographic revolution are very important. Humanity is already facing complex economic, environmental and other problems, which are becoming more acute mainly in those areas of the world where poverty and economic backwardness delay entry into the second phase of the demographic transition, which, in turn, slows down socio-economic transformations in these regions. areas.

Task 16

Read the text and do the task. Write your answers on the worksheet.

Some authors have so confused the concepts of "society" and "government" that there is little or no difference between them; meanwhile, these things are not only different, but also different origin. Society is created by our needs, and government by our vices; the first contributes to our happiness positively, uniting our good impulses, the second negatively, curbing our vices; one encourages rapprochement, the other breeds discord. The first is the defender, the second is the punisher.

Society in any of its states is good, while government at its best is only a necessary evil, and in the worst case an unbearable evil; for when we suffer or endure from the government the same hardships that might be expected in a country without government, our misfortunes are aggravated by the consciousness that the causes of our sufferings are created by us. The government, like clothes, means lost chastity: royal palaces were erected on the ruins of paradise arbors. After all, if the dictates of conscience were clear, definite and unquestioningly carried out, then a person would not need any other legislator; but since this is not the case, a man is compelled to give up a part of his property in order to secure the means of protecting the rest, and he is compelled to do this from the same prudence which in all other cases prompts him to choose the lesser of two evils. And since security is the real purpose and end of government, it follows irrefutably that, whatever its form, the one that will most surely provide us with this security, at the least cost and with the greatest benefit, is preferable to all.

To get a clear and correct idea of the purpose and purpose of government, suppose that a small number of people would settle in some secluded corner of the earth, not connected with the rest of the world; then these people will represent the first inhabitants of any country or world. In this state of natural freedom, they will first of all think about society. They will be motivated to do so by a thousand reasons. The strength of one person is so unsuited to his needs and his consciousness is so unadapted to eternal loneliness that he will soon be forced to seek help and relief from another, who in turn needs the same. Four or five of us can build a tolerable dwelling in the wilderness, but alone you can work all your life without achieving anything. Having cut down a tree, he could not move it alone, or, having moved it, raise it; meanwhile, hunger would have driven him from this work, and every other need would have called in a different direction; sickness and mere failure would have meant death to him. Although both may not be fatal in themselves, he will still lose his means of subsistence and fall into a state where it can be said of him that he perishes rather than simply dies.

Need, then, like a force of gravity, would soon draw our newly arrived settlers into a society whose mutual benefits would replace and render superfluous the obligations imposed by law and state, so long as these people would maintain full justice towards one another; but since only heaven is inaccessible to vice, it is inevitable that, as the first difficulties of the migration, which unite them for a common cause, are overcome, the feelings of duty and mutual affection will begin to weaken, and this weakening will indicate the need to establish some form of government in order to compensate for the lack of virtue.

Some government building will serve them suitable tree under whose branches the whole colony can gather to discuss public affairs. It is more than likely that their first laws will be called rules only and carried out solely under pain of public censure. In this first parliament everyone will have a seat by virtue of natural law.

Tasks for the text:

  1. Indicate the political ideology to which the author can be attributed (the ideological basis of the text).
  2. Name three principles of the political ideology you indicated, reflected in the text, and illustrate each principle with a corresponding fragment from the text.
  3. Provide a detailed critique of the ideological basis of the text from the point of view of some alternative political ideology.
    • 3.1 Name an alternative political ideology from which you will criticize this text.
    • 3.2 Give antitheses to each principle of political ideology that you formulated when answering question 2, the adherent of which is the author of the text.

Answer:

  1. Political ideology of the text - liberalism or classic liberalism. 3 points.
  2. Example principles and snippets

a) Contrasting society and the state.

Fragment:

“Society is created by our needs, and government by our vices; the first contributes to our happiness positively, uniting our good impulses, the second negatively, curbing our vices; one encourages rapprochement, the other breeds discord. The first is the protector, the second is the punisher.”

b) Minimal state.

Fragment:

"... the government and the best is only a necessary evil."

“... the most preferable of all is that (form of government power) that will most surely provide us with this security, at the lowest cost and with the greatest benefit.”

c) Democratic government.

Fragment:

“The government building will serve them as some suitable tree, under the branches of which the whole colony can gather to discuss public affairs .... In this first parliament everyone will have a seat by virtue of natural law.”

d) Freedom as one of the main values.

Fragment:

"In this state of natural freedom, they will first of all think about society."

“This is the purpose and purpose of government, that is, freedom…”

Other fragments can be used to confirm the conclusions, as well as other provisions of liberalism reflected in the text, with confirmation by the corresponding fragments.

3 points for each principle listed and 3 points for each fragment listed. Total 18 points.

  1. Criticism of the text:

Example:

Criticism in terms of socialism:

  • a) The minimum state is not an optimal formula, since society is not always capable of self-regulation (poor, sick, abandoned children). A state with great powers is able to ensure the well-being of all members of society much more effectively (free education, medicine, etc.)
  • b) Equality is a primary value in relation to freedom, therefore it is the ultimate goal of the functioning of the state.
  • in) A strong authoritarian state protects the interests of society better than elected representatives, since representatives are unlikely to be able to reach a consensus (radical socialism).

The antithesis must be precisely an objection to the thesis being criticized, and not an abstract proposition of another political ideology, unrelated to the thesis being criticized. Criticism of the text from the standpoint of another alternative political ideology can be given.conservatism, nationalism, etc.

1 point for the named ideology.

2 points for each given antithesis.

Only 7 points.

I have long wanted to write a big post about what youth subcultures existed in the USSR. In the films of the Soviet years, subcultural movements are practically not represented in any way, although in fact it was a large layer youth culture. The only exceptions are films of the perestroika period, some of which (for example, "My name is Arlekino" or "Accident, the daughter of a cop") are almost entirely devoted to the life of such subcultures.

So, in this post - a big and interesting story about what youth subcultures existed in the USSR.

01. Stilyagi. Unlike other subcultures that came from Western countries, dudes are rather a unique, exclusively Soviet phenomenon. In addition, they can be called one of the earliest Soviet subcultures. Stilyagi began to appear in the 1950s, mainly in large cities, and with their appearance and behavior they tried to copy the American way of life - they dressed in bright and fashionable clothes, listened to blues and jazz, tried to lead a secular lifestyle and protested against the "norms of Soviet morality" and appearance.

Interestingly, the word "dudes" is not the self-name of the adherents of this subculture - this word appeared in the Soviet press as critical in relation to "young people leading a cheeky lifestyle." The dudes were portrayed as narrow-minded, conceited and stupid young people, concerned only with their appearance, which, in general, was far from the truth - most often the "dudes" came from intelligent families with a high cultural level. "Bombed" dudes not only in the press, but even in big literary works, including in children's - in the story of Nikolai Nosov "Dunno in the Sunny City" several chapters are devoted to the fight against dudes, called "windmills" in the story.

02. Hippie. Initially, the hippie movement arose in the 1960s in the United States, and its heyday came in the 1960s and 70s. Hippies promoted the "maximum freedom" of a person, pacifism, life in "communities", and were also fond of Eastern philosophy, especially Indian and Chinese.

In the USSR, the hippie culture came with some delay, closer to the beginning of the 1970s and had its own distinctive features - it was semi-underground, had its own slang ("fit-in", "girl", "people", "session", "old", "flat") and protested against the classic image of the "Soviet man" with its very definite appearance and constant agreement with the "party line".

The Soviet police and the KGB fought hippies, sometimes arresting them for "petty hooliganism", which could include, among other things, simply "inappropriate appearance". Many hippies were forcibly expelled from institutions and sent to the army, and they could also be sent for "compulsory treatment" to mental hospitals. The hippie subculture successfully survived the USSR and exists to this day.

03. Beatniks. Often this subculture is referred to as an offshoot of dudes or hippies, but the beatniks also had their own distinctive features. This subculture was united by love for The music The Beatles, and then to its numerous imitators (including those in the USSR), called "beat quartets". The beatniks wore long hair with bangs ("under McCartney and Lennon"), flared trousers, jackets with cut-off collars and ironed lapels, and often played in amateur groups that arose at universities or research institutes.

Records of the Beatles on records or reels were of particular value among beatniks; getting such a record was considered the greatest success. As in the case of the dudes, the authorities hit the beatniks with "harsh satire", denouncing them on the radio and at concerts. At the same time, very high-quality original recordings of the Beatles were often used in satirical programs and concerts, which is why the beatniks went to listen to such a "satire" in droves)

04.Punks. The punk movement arose in Western Europe and the United States around the 1960s and 70s as a "countercultural" movement that criticized society, government and politics in general, punks called anarchists of the early 20th century their "political forerunners" and often wore paraphernalia with badge "A" ("anarchy"). The punks were a bit like hippies (protest against the "social system", unwillingness to serve in the army, etc.), but at the same time they were more aggressive and nihilistic.

The characteristic appearance of punks is reminiscent of rocker and metalwork (leather jackets with rivets, torn jeans with pins, berets), but punks also have their own characteristics - in particular, acid hair color and mohawk hairstyle.

A distinctive feature of Soviet punks was their musical omnivorousness - if their "western colleagues" listened to strictly defined groups, like the Sex Pistols or Crass, then in the USSR punks listened to literally all the music that was considered "forbidden" in the USSR - from The Beatles to Metallica. The second characteristic feature of the Soviet punks was bullying passers-by and constant conflicts with the police.

05. Metalworkers. The subculture of "metal" appeared already in the late USSR, its representatives listened to certain groups of "metal" - orientation - with an abundance of sound of heavy "soaked" guitars, the number of guitarists in such groups could reach up to 5-6 people. Outwardly, the metalheads resembled punks, but looked more neat, did not cut the mohawks (preferring just long hair), and also wore a lot of all sorts of metal things on their clothes - chains, buckles, riveted wristlets, collars with spikes and so on.

A distinctive feature of the metalworkers was the unification on a purely musical tastes, they did not have such a "counter-cultural" or "anti-social" orientation, as, for example, punks or hippies. This is partly why the metal subculture survived the USSR for a long time, and received even more development in the mid-late 1990s.

06. Rockers. In the eighties, "rockers" were not called fans of rock music at all, but motorcyclists - those who are now called "bikers". The rockers often looked like metalworkers (they wore leather jackets and studded wristlets), but their distinguishing feature was the mandatory presence of a motorcycle - most often, some kind of Soviet "Java", "Minsk" or "Dnepr".

At the end of the eighties, rockers fell in love with arranging night motorcycle races (from 10 to 50 motorcyclists), against which the Soviet traffic police fought with varying degrees of success. Even rockers spent a lot of time in garages, constantly improving and improving something in their motorcycles, "garage tuning" in those years reached unprecedented popularity among rockers.

07. Lubers. Lubers appeared in the suburbs of Moscow in the late seventies and opposed themselves to punks, metalheads and hippies. The Lubers worked out in the basement rocking chairs and "prepared themselves for military service," and also periodically staged brawls with representatives of all of the above subcultures. The main reason for the conflict was, as a rule, the "inappropriate" appearance of the opponent, standing out from the crowd. So, a punk could be beaten for a mohawk, a metalhead for a leather jacket, a hippie for long hair and "baubles" on his hands, and so on.

As a rule, people from their working families fell into the Luber environment, and the name "Lubers" itself took root around 1986, when articles about Lubers began to appear in the press. According to some reports, the Lubers were controlled by the Soviet police, who, with the help of the Lubers, tried to intimidate hippies, punks and metalheads so that they would not go out into the streets in "improper dress". Other subcultures began to resist the Lubers, especially the metalheads who distinguished themselves in this - by 1987 they were already giving an organized rebuff to the Lubers, and often they themselves gathered in groups in order to "go and break the Lubers".

With the collapse of the USSR, the Luber movement gradually faded away, and some of this movement joined criminal gangs.

Here is a story about Soviet subcultures I got.

Do you remember any cases from the life of Soviet punks, rockers, hippies or amateurs?

Societies are characterized by their own special rules and have their own development trend. Teenagers are very different in their worldview, behavior and habits. In the process of self-knowledge, they try to find their place in life, determine their goals and understand themselves. Quite often, such searches lead to such rather serious problems as teenage alcoholism and early drug addiction. Therefore, the influence of subcultures on adolescents is one of the most actual problems that worries all parents without exception.

Positive and negative aspects of the influence of subcultures

Held in recent times sociological research showed that many adolescents identify themselves as a representative of a particular subculture. At the same time, some young people are strongly influenced by subcultures, which can be both positive and negative. In the first case, adolescents receive the skills necessary for life in a social society, and in the second, they acquire the qualities with which society accessible ways trying to fight.

Teenage subcultures help young people realize their desires and adapt to adult and independent life. But there are also negative aspects, such as cruelty to certain groups of people. For example, skinheads are racist and can, according to their ideology, commit criminal acts against people of other nationalities. For them, there is nothing illegal in such behavior, and therefore they do not understand that they are responsible for their actions. In this case, the subcultures of adolescents negatively affect their worldview, setting the younger generation against others.

    Varieties of subcultures

All teenage communities have not only their own laws of behavior, but also rules that require a certain appearance. Separate youth trends can shock the adult society with numerous piercings, unusual hair color, strange style in clothes and accessories. Quite often, disagreements between parents and adolescents arise precisely on this basis. Young people do not like it when they interfere in their personal lives, and parents want their child not to stand out from the crowd.

Subculture of working youth - teddy boys

The social youth group teddy boys was formed back in the early 50s due to the relative improvement of the working class. This youth subculture, which became widespread in the post-war period, consisted of working-class people with incomplete higher education and those who do not have a highly paid profession. Their style was copied from the clothes and behavior of the members higher strata society. In the classic version, the "tedd" looked like this: pipe trousers, a loose jacket with a velvet collar, a drawstring tie and rubber platform boots. The image was typically masculine, despite its elegance.

Representatives of the teddy boys did their best to maintain the “high” status they had created, which became the cause of conflicts that arose with representatives of other sectors of society. For example, there were clashes with more affluent teenagers, attacks on elite youth clubs. There have also been attacks on immigrants.

Subculture of the skilled sections of the working class - fashion

Teenagers who, after graduating from school, mastered working specialties requiring high level readiness. In fact the mod perfect understanding had to live luxuriously, visit prestigious and expensive clubs, restaurants and shops, dress in extremely expensive things. But for many, such pleasures were not available, so it remained only to try to recreate perfect image. There are four types of mods:

    1. Aggressive type in jeans and brogues.
    2. Scooter owners, also in jeans and hooded jackets.
    3. Mods in suits and polished shoes made up the majority of this subculture. The list is completed by fashion girls, exemplary in appearance and with a short haircut.
    4. Students art schools, students and so on.

    Subculture - rockers

Rockers appeared in the mid-60s. This group consisted mainly of teenagers without education or from incomplete families. The main attributes of the people of this subculture were a leather jacket, worn jeans, large rough shoes, long hair combed back and tattoos. Of course, what is a rocker without such an important element as a motorcycle. A special place in the subculture of rockers is occupied by rock music.

    Skinheads or skinheads

The members of this group, like the rockers, predominantly came from the environment of low-skilled workers. Among them, many were unemployed, poorly educated and with a low cultural level. Skinheads wore tucked-up jeans, large brogues, and shaved their heads. Football hooligans are closely adjacent to the skinheads. These types of subcultures are largely similar in social composition. They are also united by aggressiveness in behavior, for example, associated with football matches.

    Punk subculture

This group mainly included young people from unskilled and low-paid segments of the population. The critical situation of youth has led to the emergence of this subculture. The list of associations consisting of poorly educated members of society was supplemented by punks. The stereotypes of this group were closely intertwined with aggressive self-affirmation, but, in addition, it was largely based on views that were in opposition to traditional moral principles and values. Initially, the punk subculture used appearance to provoke society: unusual hair color, strange hairstyles, outrageous behavior and different style in clothes, but over time, stronger methods of influence through the themes of violence and death began to be used.

    hippie movement

This subculture appeared in the United States in the 60s and very quickly spread throughout the world. At one time, hippies evolved from beatniks, representatives of the middle class, who for a long time influenced the people of their group. These American subcultures have one common distinctive feature - an ideology clearly expressed in words. The main elements of the hippie style or worldview were the following:

    1. Peacefulness and non-violence. Pacifism was the main ideology of the hippies. That is why the representatives of this group were distinguished by ignoring the authorities, apolitical, since it is the rulers who kindle wars and force people to fight.
    2. Self-development and individualism. These elements were a reaction to the dullness of mass society.
    3. Conscious simplification, that is, the transition from a prosperous life to poverty, the rejection of material wealth.
    4. Drugs, sexual experiments, travel, festivals, communes - all these are the most striking features of the subculture of the hippie society.
    5. Cohabitation is distinguishing feature hippies, as other subcultures did not adhere to this form of behavior.

    dudes

This youth subculture arose in the USSR in the late 40s of the 20th century. Thus, the Soviet youth protested the stereotypes of society. The main direction of dudes was blind copying of the style of the West and the USA. At that time, dudes looked more like a caricature: wide trousers in bright colors, baggy double-breasted jackets, boots with thick soles and, of course, brightly colored socks peeking out from under the trousers. The image was very original and bright, no one was worried about the combination of colors.

But over time, closer to the 50s, the dudes changed their image a little. They began to wear tight trousers and elegantly cut broad-shouldered jackets, a thin tie around their necks and, of course, a wet-lined cook. It is worth noting that only the guys had a certain image, the stylish girls wore lush bright dresses or skinny skirts, pointy shoes and did bright makeup. The society did not allow the development of this subculture in the USSR and in every possible way condemned and persecuted representatives of this bright group.

    Social subcultures

The process of socialization of adolescents in the subcultures of society is much faster. Examples of subcultures such as "greens" or "animal advocates" teach the younger generation to help nature and take care of the environment. But theoretical information alone is not always enough to teach teenagers responsibility. It is necessary to show the work of “positive subcultures” in practice. not only theorems and axioms are needed, but their consolidation by actions and results, otherwise it does not realize the need for good deeds.

    Subcultures popular in modern society

The criminal subculture (rockers, punks, emo, skinheads, etc.) in Russia is already losing its positions. Negativity and aggression are gradually going out of fashion. In search of new directions, he comes up with his own modern image. For example, the footering subculture does not carry a negative manifestation, therefore it is quite well perceived by society. Members of this youth group do not wear shoes in all weather.

Due to the wide spread of the Internet, the subculture of gamers is gaining momentum. Today's youth are increasingly hiding from reality in virtual world. Many young children already confidently manage tablets, readers and mobile phones. But this is basically a false substitute for real hobbies, which parents impose on them to save their own time and energy. After all, when the child is busy computer games, it does not require so much attention and care. In fact, the problem of this subculture is very deep, and parents need to take certain measures if their child has a gambling or computer addiction.

Distinctive features of modern youth trends

Youth subcultures modern world characterized by an increase in the number of active associations. In addition, today's youth are increasingly immersed in the Internet. They search online for their like-minded people, organize meetings, hold promotions. There are three social and value orientations of modern subcultures:

    1. Pro-social trends: rapper subculture and the role-playing game movement.
    2. Asocial trends: punks, metalheads, emo and hippies.
    3. Anti-social groups similar to the adult criminal subculture: skinheads in their radical form.

It is possible to qualify the subcultures of youth and, as the activities of the group are included in the lifestyle young man. There are behavioral groups and active ones. In the first case, adolescents adhere to the style of dress, behavior and communication characteristic of the selected group. Such areas are not characterized by engaging in any activity. This includes emo, hipsters and goths. In other words, the younger generation will only change their appearance and behavior.

Active types of subcultures are those communities that are based on a passion for specific activities that require one or another activity. This group can include parkour, graffists, role players.

What attracts young people in subcultures

Youth subcultures on a personal level are a way to achieve self-respect and compensate for the negative attitudes of others towards themselves. Discontent own style behavior, body, inconsistency with the standards of femininity or masculinity. Subcultures, the list of which is huge and varied, allow teenagers to give themselves a halo of features, a bright personality.

Socio-psychological reasons are considered to be the attractiveness of an informal lifestyle that does not require responsibility, purposefulness and purposefulness, in contrast to the requirements generally accepted in society. There are three possible options the consequences of the influence of subculture on the socialization of young people:

    1. A positive orientation, which manifests itself in social and cultural self-determination, creative self-realization and experimentation with images, behavioral style, and so on.
    2. Socially negative orientation, which is found in joining subcultures of a criminal, extremist nature, drugs and alcohol.
    3. The individual-negative tendency is manifested in escaping from reality, in justifying one's infantile behavior, avoiding cultural and social self-determination.

It is rather difficult to determine which directions prevail in a particular subculture. It is even more difficult to notice how it affects a person's lifestyle. Modern trends attract young people with their diversity and defiant appearance and behavior. But it is worth noting that belonging to a certain social group is usually a short-term phenomenon. Basically, the passion for subcultures begins at the age of 13 and disappears by the age of 19. By this age, a person changes his hobbies or rethinks. But there are exceptions within the age range, for example, the rocker subculture has no time limits. Among the representatives of this community can be found mature people and sometimes even the elderly. They have remained true to their teenage passions and still listen to rock or play in bands. As a rule, the rocker subculture includes those people who, even in adulthood, are not ready for a responsible and independent life.

The peculiarities of subcultures of adolescents include their inconstancy in behavior. Many teenagers are characterized by an unstable psyche, which largely depends on how their relationship with their parents develops. If there is remoteness in relationships with loved ones, then the chances that the child will fall under the influence from outside increase. After all, a teenager needs communication, advice and understanding. If he does not receive all this in the family, then he will seek support in a circle of people who are close in spirit and morale. Very often, the diviant behavior of a child in adolescence is associated with a bad example from the outside. It can be television, the bad deeds of comrades in the company, and so on. To prevent negative influence on a child, parents need to establish contact with him or involve older youth for this purpose.

Sources of the appearance of subcultures in Russia

In the Russian youth environment, the emergence of subcultures is due to a number of reasons. In the last 15-20 years everyday life adult society and children has undergone strong changes. The openness of Western and Eastern cultures has greatly influenced the worldview of people, dissolved many traditions, stable relationships, and values of Russian citizens. The new scientific and technological revolution, which, first of all, is associated with the emergence of phenomena such as computers, Cell phones, the Internet.

Basically, youth subcultures spread spontaneously. Although quite often such distribution is facilitated by parties, trendsetters, and so on. There is another way - commercial and youth organizations take as a basis the forms of youth leisure that exist spontaneously and create organized directions. An example is street dance. But this process also requires a special approach. Experts believe that interaction with potentially positive informals should be carried out according to three rules: it is necessary to coordinate their actions with leaders, provide them with everything necessary for holding events, and coordinate restrictions on behavior and activities in the process of ongoing actions.

    Strategies for youth activities

If we consider youth activities from the standpoint of social education, we can distinguish three main pedagogical strategies. Do not pay attention, do not exclude spontaneous penetration into social life and only after that work or analyze the potential of youth subcultures in terms of additional educational methods and use them in the interests of the personal development of adolescents and children.

The potential of youth subcultures in terms of education lies in the fact that the types and forms of activities of adolescents and young people that have arisen independently of the pedagogical sphere, in the environment of free communication of young people, are socially positive. But at the same time it is necessary to apply the appropriate pedagogical instrumentation.

In fact, modern educational methods practically do not come into contact with such youth and adolescent communities. In addition, this contact is predominantly observed in summer camps, in children's public associations and extremely rarely in general education schools.

As a rule, lifestyle, behavior and external signs subcultures of adolescents and youth are covered in a negative way, which contributed to the active imitation of the representatives of these communities by a certain unreached part of the youth. This, in turn, served as an impetus for the spread of these subcultures beyond the borders of one country. Nevertheless, the variability and other characteristics of subcultures were greatly influenced by ethnic and social conditions. For example, Soviet hippies were not much like representatives of this subculture of Western countries. And the skinheads of modern Russia are very different from the first skinheads of Great Britain.

Violent youth protests Western countries in the 60-70s and in the Soviet and post-Soviet space in the second half of the 90s caused not only a decrease in social activity among young people, but served to develop certain tendencies towards escapism. A distinctive feature of the modern world is the increase in the number of protest youth subcultures, as well as the variety of forms. Thus, we can say that there are more and more new subcultures, the list of which is growing.
