Description of the painting summer garden. "Summer Garden in Autumn" - a picture of Brodsky, full of calm and tranquility

Essay description

Autumn is considered to be the most beautiful and mysterious season. Each of us can perceive autumn differently, for some, this is a time of sadness, because summer is over, a cold long winter lies ahead. And for someone opposite, autumn is a colorful, bright time of the year when you can dream and think about the future.

Look at this beautiful picture, it depicts such a calm, sunny day in a summer garden, but already in autumn. Most likely, late autumn is depicted, when the sun is still shining brightly, but has already settled high from us and not so friendly warms with its rays. There are still yellowed leaves on the trees. People walk along the long alleys of the garden and enjoy the last still warm rays of the sun. In such a wonderful garden, it is pleasant to spend time with your family, take a walk with children, ride a bike.

Just look at what a beautiful gazebo is located in the middle of the alley. In such a gazebo you can drink a cup of hot tea and spend a pleasant autumn evening talking with loved ones. Walking along this long alley is calm, measured. Here are the mothers walking with strollers, discussing something hotly. The kids run after each other, playing tag. And businesslike old men are sitting on the bench, lowering their glasses to the tip of their nose, and playing another game of chess. Old women walk along the alley and breathe fresh air discussing their troubles.

Look at the sky, how beautiful it is in autumn. Slightly gray, but a bluish tint is still present. So, winter will soon come into its own. The artist depicted in this picture a real celebration of nature, namely autumn over summer, which has already gone for a long nine months. Autumn is truly a wonderful time. It has a lot of bright unusual colors. Love autumn, it is beautiful, like any other time of the year. There is something truly special about every season of the year.

In the picture of Isaac Brodsky, we see a corner of a wonderful place, in St. Petersburg - Summer garden. Place of rest and walks for city residents in different eras. This amazing, in its beauty, park is good at any time of the year. The great poets Alexander Pushkin and Blok, Anna Akhmatova, Balmont and others walked here. Each of them sang the beauties of this urban garden with beautiful rhymes and poems. The virtuosos of the brush hurried after the masters of the word. Many of them left sketches with expressive corners of the man-made complex. Brodsky was in their ranks, he also painted a landscape where he depicted this garden.

He chose golden autumn as the main character of his work. She is cheating the world. Nature, as it were, is preparing for sleep and rest. In the picture, the foliage has almost flown from the branches. The trees look translucent and blend into the sky. Heavenly lambs swim slowly, thoughtfully in it. With a keen eye, from a height, they observe order on earth and in heaven. Clouds are different, like autumn weather. The wind drives numerous clouds across the sky. The sun will either hide behind the fog, or suddenly emerge and blind your eyes. The sun, which appeared for several hours, illuminated the trees, in the park, paths, shrubs and grass. Its rays warm brightly, but not hot, sunlight, as if pouring from the sky like a stream. On the side alley of the square, along the walking paths-alleys, giant trees that have seen a lot in their lifetime grow. Their crowns, tops, go into the gray-blue height of the sky.

The trunks are gracefully thin and incredibly slender. They seem to frame the canvas, serve as its original frame. The work is well thought out and meticulous. Muted tones and shades are used. The picture is bright, but not pretentious. In the middle part of the canvas, as if creating the place of the compositional center, a miniature, weightless arbor is depicted. It seems that it is created from autumn air and fog. Windows in the form of arches give the appearance of a rich building for aristocrats and nobles of the past. Carved wooden railings are light and elegant.

The sun's warm rays illuminate the roof of the veranda, and inside it seems hospitable, calling to come inside: sit and think about the transience of time. In the distance, on the alleys of the square, they walk, catching the last warm days, children and adults, young and old. Some of them sat down to rest on garden benches. Others simply roam the fallen colorful leaves. Listen to their whisper and rustle. Children play ball or just tag. A woman is pushing a stroller with a baby in front of her. Everyone admires the yellow, turning into orange-brown color scheme autumn leaves.

Walkers will collect and bring home huge bright bouquets of leaves and branches of mountain ash and viburnum. But lingering will soon come autumn rains, all the foliage will fall, and not only the paths, but the entire Summer Garden will be empty. But the picture does not cause sadness and despondency. After all, it will be possible to walk along the alleys of the garden and snowy winter, and in spring, with its first greenery and hot summer, when the trees of the garden will give coolness and shade.

Now they are reading:

Has anyone ever noticed that imperceptible and smooth transition of a harsh February into a gentle, but still cool and damp March? Perhaps the March cats have a better sense of spring than any weather forecaster can predict.

In 1892, Isaac became a graduate of the Berdyansk city school. In 1896 he entered the Odessa art school, because with young years showed his talent for painting. Such activities contribute to the development of speech, imagination, the manifestation of creative abilities.

calm landscape

The first thing that comes to mind when you look at the "Summer Garden in Autumn" is that Brodsky's painting conveys the calmness of quiet autumn days. There are no variegated colors, prevails yellow, but it also perfectly conveys the general mood of the canvas.

Such artistic creations soothe, pacify. Here people walk slowly, children play.

The picture is filled with dim sunlight. The sun itself is not visible, it is hidden behind light clouds, but its reflections cast shadows of trees on the ground.

"Summer Garden in Autumn", Brodsky. Description of the artwork

The central part of the canvas is occupied by the alley of the park. As mentioned above, Isaac Izrailevich has a painting called "Park Alley". Surely Brodsky loved to walk around such picturesque places in the city. Here it is good to hide in the heat under the shady crowns of trees from the scorching rays of the sun, to breathe fresh air.

During the golden autumn, such walks are also pleasant. Therefore, on one of these days, quite a lot of people gathered here. Mostly they are mothers or nannies with children. Babies lie in carriages, and women slowly carry their priceless children, walking with them along a wide path. Some ladies are resting on the benches. They sit and hold wheelchairs in front of them.

Older children play on the track under the supervision of their parents. Some children draw or draw something on the pavement, others collect fallen leaves.

But not only kids and mothers have chosen this quiet corner of urban nature, older people also walk here, who also like the atmosphere of the park. It is pleasant to sit on comfortable benches, relax and see how beautiful the summer garden is in autumn. Brodsky's painting suggests such reflections.

Nature

Majestic trees grow along the wide path. It can be assumed that these are lindens or poplars, because they were planted in city parks. The trees are tall as each has enough room to grow. Gardeners arranged small seedlings on a pretty long distance so that when the lindens and poplars grow up, they have enough space for food and sunlight.

At the beginning of autumn, the trees gradually lose their lush hair, so sunlight can penetrate into the park in greater quantities than in summer. It can be seen how the trunks and branches cast a rather long shadow on the ground, so the canvas most likely depicts morning.

Young mothers and nannies fed the little children breakfast and took them for a walk in a picturesque park. Isaac Brodsky also suggests this idea to the viewer with his creation. autumn as well as summer beautiful place for walks with children. After all, there are no cars, no busy traffic, good air and beautiful nature.

Other details of the picture: sky, gazebo

What else did Brodsky portray? Summer garden artist with special love. The sky seems endless. It extends not only over the alley, but also goes far beyond it. Light clouds are clearly visible through thinned trees. They turn white against the blue sky, in some places yellow reflections of the sun are visible.

When depicting a gazebo, the painter conveyed the smallest details this openwork building. There is a desire to climb the stairs with beautiful railings and find yourself inside a small open house. In the summer you can hide in it from the heat, from the sudden onset of rain.

Nice summer garden in autumn! Brodsky's painting confirms this and helps to understand that before winter begins, you need to visit such places as much as possible. beautiful places enjoying the last warmth of the outgoing summer.

Isaak Izrailevich Brodsky (1883-1939) - an outstanding Russian artist. The painter worked in the workshop of I. E. Repin. Early in his studies, Brodsky developed an interest in landscape and portraiture. The painting "Summer Garden in Autumn", painted in 1928, is one of the best works of the artist. The work is imbued with poetry, the artist managed to create a surprisingly subtle and truthful image of nature.
Isaac Brodsky played a significant role in the development of Russian art as a successor to the traditions of realism. Brodsky's works are distinguished by accuracy and clarity of images, amazing capacity art form.
The painting depicts the St. Petersburg Summer Garden in autumn. The viewer sees an alley that goes beyond the horizon. The sky is half-hidden by clouds, through which one can see almost summer azure. The trees throw up their half-naked black branches. Transparent dark shadows fall on the alley. And on shady spots, fallen leaves look even brighter. The central plan of the picture is transparent, permeated with air, and only in the distance are the trees gilded. The tree trunks are clearly defined as a "frame", framing the picture. On the right side of the canvas, you can see a part of a white arbor, half-hidden by the edge of the canvas and trees. The gazebo stands on a hill, and a small openwork staircase leads to it. Arched windows and openwork railings give the building lightness and airiness. There is a feeling that the gazebo is just a product of autumn cold air, a bunch of fog.
In the distance, closer to the horizon, you can see small figures of wandering people. People are dressed warmly enough, which further enhances the feeling of autumn cold.
The color scheme of the picture is not bright, the artist used mostly muted, "autumn" tones. Thin dark trees, a grayish sky with glimpses of blue, yellowish-red foliage on the trees - everything speaks of the arrival of autumn. Surprisingly, the picture is cloudy, but does not give rise to a feeling of sadness. The autumn alley depicted by the artist is filled with amazing light, and there is a desire to walk through the fallen leaves, among the thin trunks of trees. The picture conveys to the viewer a sense of calm, the inevitability of autumn, the fatigue of nature, and at the same time you can feel the joyful energy. Obviously, this feeling is connected with the tragedy of the canvas.
The work is dominated by a graphic element. Surprisingly thin and accurate images of trees. Their crowns are translucent and seem to stick together with the cloudy autumn sky. A white arbor is amazingly painted on the canvas. Its light forms seem to merge with the pattern of trees, emphasizing their elegance and shading the dark tone of the trunks. Thin dark shadows of trees fall on the ground, giving rise to a cobweb pattern. They partly repeat the silhouettes of trees, but look more curvaceous and whimsical.
The perspective from which this landscape was painted is interesting. Brodsky depicted objects on the canvas as if from the bottom up. So a child could see the autumn alley, but not an adult. And the combination of such an original perspective with a clear graphic image creates an unusually strong emotional impact on the viewer. It seems that the emotional feeling of childhood spills out into the world from the picture - when the world is beautiful, a little mysterious.
The picture is executed in a realistic manner. The autumn alley is recognizable, the figures of walking people give the image a closeness to nature. The work of the artist makes an indelible impression on the viewer. Brodsky managed to show all the ambiguity of the charm of autumn. This is the light transparency of cold air, and the aching sadness of the falling leaves, and the glimpses of the sun through the clouds. It is impossible to say about this work whether it is joyful or sad. Probably, when contemplating it, both feelings are mixed in the soul.

Description of the painting by I.I. Brodsky "Summer Garden in Autumn"

Isaac Izrailevich Brodsky - famous artist landscape painter. He created many beautiful paintings, among which there is such a "Summer Garden in Autumn". The picture is striking, first of all, with the play of sunlight in the complete absence of the sun. Interestingly, in the foreground, viewers see an empty alley. Brodsky, as it were, invites you to admire the beauty first autumn landscape, the play of light and shadow.
And, indeed, there is something to admire. Along the edges of the alley are strict giant trees. The foliage from them has almost flown around, only in some places there is still a little bit of a magnificent lace outfit left. But this is enough to make the trees in the distance seem to be dressed in gilding. Autumn gilding is visible everywhere, especially on the ground around the trees and on the alley itself. Sunlight plays in the branches so bizarrely that they leave an amazing pattern on the ground. The sun illuminates everything around. There is a lot of it, despite the fact that clouds and light clouds run through the sky. by the bright sun the gazebo on the right side of the picture, and benches, and people walking and sitting in the distance are also illuminated.
Quiet sunny day late autumn. But there is no sadness in the picture from the realization of the impending cold. On the contrary - I.I. Brodsky depicted the triumph of nature over withering. Around everything is happy with the sunlight, the last warmth. There are a lot of people walking in the alley. Here, mothers walk babies in strollers, old people relax on benches, children play with golden autumn foliage. So happy and peaceful around!

In front of me is a painting by I. Brodsky “Summer Garden in Autumn”. The author depicted on it the beauty of a summer garden in the autumn.

In the picture we see a wide spacious alley. The whole ground is strewn with golden-orange leaves. The trees stand naked, but in some places golden leaves are still preserved on thin and bare branches. It seems that they are about to come off and fall onto the path.

To the side stands a small bright gazebo in which you can hide from bad weather. The gazebo is located on a hill, so to enter it, you need to climb the stairs. The windows are arched. The railings are decorated with beautiful ornaments.

The painting "Summer Garden in Autumn" is not a deserted landscape. Passers-by are walking along the alley. Some of them sit on benches and enjoy the last warm days, admire nature.

The artist depicted a cloudy sky with gaps. Clouds seem to portend that turbulent days will soon begin. The paints used by I. Brodsky are surprisingly delicate, with a pale tint.

The artist Isaac Brodsky is known as a talented portraitist, author of large canvases and genre scenes. In his creative piggy bank there is also a large number of landscapes. lovers visual arts his chamber landscape "Summer Garden in Autumn" is well known.

...Warm autumn day. Light clouds float across the sky, between which a clear blue peeps through. An empty arbor, people slowly walking in the distance, thinning golden foliage on the trees ... Autumn is the best time for walking in the city park ...

Analysis and description

The plot of the picture takes the viewer to one of the most visited parks in St. Petersburg - the Summer Garden. The canvas depicts a distant side alley, along which powerful perennial giant trees grow - apparently, the same age as the Summer Garden itself. In the picture, the artist depicted one of the farewell days of the outgoing golden autumn.

The soft autumn sun shines, because of which everything around looks joyful and warm.

The yellowed foliage of the trees has already noticeably thinned out, and the crowns, depicted with sophistication and elegance, look translucent, which is why they visually almost merge with the sky. The trunks stretching upwards are graceful and slender, they literally rest against the sky, through which light white clouds float. The trees in the picture are clearly written and arranged in a kind of frame framing the composition.

The central plan of the composition is transparent, it seems to be permeated with air. On the right side of the park alley, the sun's rays beautifully highlight a wooden gazebo with openwork railings. A small, off-white gazebo seems to be hiding among the trees. Warm sunbeams play on her dark brown roof, making her look more hospitable.

The arched windows of the gazebo and its carved railings give the entire structure an airy lightness. The gazebo seems almost weightless and it seems that it is just a product of autumn air and fog. The gazebo is shown empty. This is a kind of hint - very soon the whole alley will be empty, the leaves will completely fall off, the autumn rains will fall. However, until this happens, the artist offers to enjoy the picture of a golden warm autumn.

In the depths of the alley, going beyond the horizon, benches with vacationers are depicted. The artist dressed people in warm clothes to emphasize the feeling of autumn frosts. People seem to be busy with their own affairs - someone is walking along the alley, someone is resting, sitting on a bench. However, their role in the film cannot be called secondary.

The presence of people somewhat enlivens the landscape, making it more accessible to the viewer's perception, giving the picture liveliness and realism. Looking at the picture, the viewer understands that he could also be among the rest, slowly walking along the park alley.

In the foreground of the composition are depicted crossed on the ground fancy pattern dark shadows from branches and trunks. The image of shadows allows you to emphasize the power of sunlight and enhance the feeling of a clear day. The artist successfully uses the contrast of warm and cold colors in his work: against the background of thin lilac shadows, fallen yellow leaves look like golden coins.

In the picture, Brodsky uses typical autumn season paints - the thinnest transitions of yellow, orange and brown. The overall color scheme of the landscape is not bright. The author deliberately chose mainly muted tones, typical for autumn.

The picture is dominated by graphic image techniques. The trees are painted by the artist with amazing accuracy and plasticity. The sky is also depicted quite original and unusual. On the one hand, it looks like it is covered with clouds, but at the same time, pure azure shines through between them, which creates a feeling of the presence of sunlight.

The picture is cloudy, but it does not cause a feeling of sadness. The depicted park alley is filled with warm light. The viewer has a desire to walk along the fallen leaves among the trees framed by delicate autumn gold. There is a lot of light and air in the work. The author depicts autumn with special poetry, offering the viewer not only to visit the alley of the park, but also to admire the warm sunny day.

Of particular interest is the perspective - the artist depicted the objects in the picture "from the bottom up". The combination of an unusual perspective with graphic techniques creates an emotional impact on the viewer. When looking at the picture, one gets the feeling that the alley depicted on it was seen not by an adult looking at the alley from the height of his height, but Small child. The picture matches emotional sensations childhood - when the world around us is beautiful and at the same time a little mysterious.

In the work "Summer Garden in Autumn" Brodsky managed to convincingly convey the ambiguous charm of the autumn season. Light transparency of cool air, aching sadness on fallen leaves, rare glimpses of the autumn sun... It is difficult to say about this work whether it is joyful or sad, because it is a reflection of mixed feelings in the artist's soul.

The main advantages of this landscape are the special intimacy and subtle lyricism with which Brodsky conveys the mood of a serene autumn day. The picture evokes a feeling of calm and understanding of the inevitability of autumn. Nature is tired, but it continues to radiate joyful energy. The painting "Summer Garden in Autumn" is one of the the best works Brodsky, embodying a surprisingly poetic and at the same time truthful image of autumn nature.
