The best examples of male friendship in literature.

What place does friendship take in the life of each person can be considered a true friend? Is it true that a real friend can be accepted as he is: with his shortcomings and virtues, with certain character and beliefs? These questions make us think about the problems of friendship and enmity. But a friend, one who will always support, but will not leave in Hard time, the one who will give needed advice. And only such a true friend can be forgiven for all his shortcomings. A friend will overcome all obstacles and troubles together with you. I want to prove the validity of my words with concrete examples.

In the world fiction The theme of friendship is touched upon very often.

Let us turn to the work of I.A. Goncharov "Oblomov" True friendship is embodied by Ilya Ilyich Oblomov and Andrei Ivanovich Stolz. Oblomov - smart, kind, fair man, who in his life did no harm to anyone, overslept, was lazy all his life and spent his best years on his favorite sofa. Why did Oblomov become who he is now? The system of the state is to blame for everything, when noble children did not know how to do anything “It all started with the inability to put on stockings, ended with the inability to live” So, Stoltz said. But despite all this, Andrei Ivanovich was with Oblomov all his life. He helped him in every possible way, wanted to "pull" him out of the "dark kingdom", the kingdom of laziness and apathy. Stolz makes Oblomov read, go for walks, start traveling as they wanted while still students. Oblomov even experienced love thanks to Stolz.

Andrei Ivanovich, sacrificing himself, introduces him to Olga Ilyinskaya. But even love could not awaken life in Oblomov, but a friend always helped him no matter what. This is an example of true friendship!

Another bright work illustrating true friendship is a series of novels about the young wizard Harry Potter. Harry Potter lived in ordinary family with uncle, aunt and cousin. His parents died when Harry was barely a year old. When he was eleven years old, Harry found out that he was a wizard and should study at the Hagwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry On the way to school, on the Hogwarts Express, he met friends, as time will tell for a lifetime, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger . In the book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the Trinity goes through many trials and obstacles along the way in the freedom and happiness of people. They are looking for the Horcruxes, which contain a piece of Voldemort's soul. Without them, it is impossible to kill "You know who." But they are tested together, side by side, sacrificing themselves for the sake of their friends.

Summing up all that has been said, I want to add that true friendship is a true treasure. Even great philosopher Cicero said "Without true friendship is life nothing"

Celebrated Defender of the Fatherland Day (traditional "men's day") on Sunday? And today we want to talk with you about real male friendship, the one that involves joint trips to reconnaissance and to the mountains. In general, everything that Aristotle wrote about in his classic treatise on friendship, written around 300 BC. e.: " Those who wish well for their friends and do everything for them are the most real friends, for each loves the other for what he is, and not for random qualities.».

There are many examples of true friends among men in the literature. Let's remember the most ideal, the most real of them!

1. Darcy and Bingley, Pride and Warning, Jane Austen

Bingley forgives Darcy for all his bad habits in a way that only the best comrades can forgive. Even though Darcy is rude and arrogant, Bingley still loves him like a brother. Ironically, Darcy himself does not approve when his friend Bingley becomes seriously attached to Elizabeth's older sister, Jane, and very subtly hints to Bingley that Jane does not feel reciprocal feelings, which he himself, Darcy, has not the slightest doubt. Later, he explains this seeming hypocrisy by stating: " I've been kinder [to Bingley] than to myself».

Fortunately, Darcy realizes his mistake in time, and Bingley marries Jane, after which they live happily ever after. No, even better: they marry their own sisters! So, their friendship continues for many more years. Well done gentlemen!

2. Frodo and Sam, The Lord of the Rings, J.R.R. Tolkien

Sam is the best companion a man can ask for. While Frodo is weakening under the influence of the Ring, Sam takes over all the menial work. He carries bags, cooks, carries out the night guard, protects and protects Frodo. When his friend acts like a pig (because of the Ring, of course), Sam forgives everything. Sam also saves Frodo from the orcs. And all this is taken for granted by us, because we know that it is Frodo who carries this cursed Ring on himself!

3. Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling

Ron and Harry have been pals since the first book. Although they also have skirmishes and misunderstandings (who does not envy the boy whom everyone calls "the chosen one"?), they maintain their friendship for years without losing it later. Rare case, isn't it?

4. Hamlet and Horatio, Hamlet tragedy, William Shakespeare*

This is possibly best example partnerships of all times and peoples. Horatio is the only character in this drama who is infinitely devoted to Hamlet throughout the entire play. He endures the emotional outbursts of Hamlet, stands up for him with a mountain and, as a result, refuses the only surviving hero, who tells us this story. tragic story. And this famous remark belongs to him: Here's a noble heart faded! Good night, dear prince! Sleep peacefully under the bright angels of the heavenly choir!»

5. Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson, a collection of stories about Sherlock Holmes, Arthur Conan Doyle *

These two lived together for a long time, and also solved riddles together. Watson perfectly suits the creative and fickle nature of Holmes, besides, he records for posterity all his achievements and adventures. All but four of the Holmes stories are told on behalf of Watson, who is concerned that his friend's accomplishments are not getting enough credit in the press. Great friend!

6. Nick Carraway and Jay Gatsby, The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald*

The fact that Nick admired Gatsby can be understood from the fact that he bothered to compose a whole story about him! That's devotion! In addition, he is one of the few who saw Gatsby off last way, while Nick never sought to cash in on friendship with him. Nick is the only one with whom Gatsby could be frank to the end, and Nick was devoted to him until Gatsby's death.

7. Athos, Porthos and Aramis, The Three Musketeers, Alexandre Dumas

"One for all and all for one!" Isn't that enough?

8. Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Mark Twain

Tom and Huck are real hooligans. Together they commit hooligan antics, experience adventures and get into different kind alterations - as befits real friends.

9. Ostap Bender and Kisa Vorobyaninov, book "The Twelve Chairs", I. Ilf, E. Petrov*

Despite the fact that their friendship was built on a mutually beneficial relationship, they are friends! Ostap himself refers to his comrade as "my good friend, it seems a friend of children ...". Sometimes a companion calls him " Liber Vater Konrad Karlovich", "G Citizen Michelson».

  1. (48 words) True friends are always sensitive to each other. Hero novel of the same name A.S. Pushkin, Eugene Onegin, allowed himself a cruel joke in relation to his friend Lensky. He did not take into account that he could take everything to heart, and a rash act turned into a tragedy. Their relationship was not a true friendship.
  2. (48 words) Unfortunately, often under the pretext of friendship, one person uses another. Such a case occurs in the story of A.I. Solzhenitsyn "Matryonin Dvor". Matryona's friends, taking advantage of her kindness, constantly ask her to help with the housework - of course, for nothing. But they know perfectly well that she already has a lot to do, but their own benefit is more important to them.
  3. (38 words) An example of sincere, tender friendship is the communication between Makar Devushkin and Varvara Dobroselova from “Poor People” by F.M. Dostoevsky. Despite poverty and life difficulties, each of the heroes cares more about the well-being of the other than about his own, which is reflected in their touching letters.
  4. (59 words) "There is no use in someone who forgets old friends!" - so says Maxim Maksimych, one of the characters in the novel by M.Yu. Lermontov "A Hero of Our Time". He considered Pechorin a close friend and was very happy new meeting, but received only a cold handshake in response. This upset the poor old man to tears. By the way, Pechorin was punished by fate: until the end of his life he remained alone.
  5. (49 words) A somewhat unusual friendship arose between the main characters of Ilf and Petrov's novel The Twelve Chairs. It would seem that Ostap and Ippolit Matveevich are not only partners in a common cause, but also rivals in the struggle for precious booty - however, they go all the way together, and only at the end the proximity of the goal destroys their friendly relations.
  6. (46 words) true friendship assumes equality. In W. Golding's novel "Lord of the Flies", children left without adults quickly divided into leaders and subordinates, and only a few retained the ability to make friends. One of these characters is the boy Piggy, who does not abandon his friend Ralph, even when he turns from a leader into an outcast.
  7. (48 words) It is known that a friend is known in trouble. The hero of Mine Reed's novel "The Headless Horseman", Maurice Gerald, was falsely accused of a terrible crime, but could not prove anything because of his confused mind. His comrade, the hunter Zebulon Stump, did everything possible to restore justice, and he succeeded: the real culprit was punished.
  8. (57 words) In A. de Saint-Exupery's fairy tale "The Little Prince", the words of the Fox describe what friendship should be like: "We will need each other. You will be the only one in the world for me. And I will be alone for you in the whole world ... ". Also he says little prince that when parting with a friend, bitterness is inevitable, but at the same time, pleasant memories will remain forever.
  9. (41 words) The idea of the importance of friendship pervades J.K. Rowling's fantasy novel Harry Potter. Supporting each other in grief and joy, the heroes cope with personal problems more easily and overcome life's difficulties. But the most important thing: only together they form a force capable of resisting evil.
  10. (41 words) The story of the friendship between a man and a wolf is told by J. London in the book "White Fang". The most amazing thing is that people have done a lot of harm to the White Fang, but the kindness of the last owner has created a miracle with a wild beast. He did not remain in debt and became a devoted protector of the whole family.

Real life examples

  1. (51 words) The best friendship is the one that lasts forever. But I know a more striking case, when even death did not become the reason for its end. Two of my father's acquaintances fought together in hot spot. One died, and the second still (and more than twenty years have passed!) Helps the elderly mother of his comrade in memory of him.
  2. (53 words) Yes good parable about friendship. It is about an old man with a dog, who walked for a long time and were very tired. Suddenly, an oasis appeared on the way, but the animals were not allowed to go there. The old man did not abandon his friend and passed by. They soon reached a farm, the owner of which let them both in. A true comrade will not leave you in trouble.
  3. (33 words) In L. Hallström's film "Hachiko", a real friendship is born between the characters, which conquered death. The professor adopted a stray puppy who is used to meeting a savior from work. The faithful dog was waiting for his master even when he died.
  4. (48 words) It's no secret that the strongest friendships are born during the student days. Indeed, at this time people have already formed as individuals, so connections are usually established between those who are close in spirit. It is known that Boris Yeltsin met with former classmates every year and did not change his tradition, even when he became president.
  5. (43 words) They say, "A friend in need is a friend." This is clearly seen in the Russian adaptation of Dumas' novel The Three Musketeers. Yuri Ryashentsev wrote excellent songs praising the military brotherhood of heroes. Each of them, covering a comrade, sings in a singsong voice: “I will delay them, nothing!”. In this phrase, all the power of male friendship breaks through.
  6. (48 words) There are many films devoted to the theme of friendship. One of my favorites is Yolki-1 by Timur Bekmambetov. In it, an orphan girl named Varya involuntarily lied that her dad is the president and would wish her a Happy New Year. So what's now? Luckily comes to the rescue true friend Vova, and thanks to his efforts, the impossible becomes possible.
  7. (54 words) Nowadays, almost every person has several dozen, or even hundreds of friends in in social networks. Does this count as friendship? I am sure yes, if you communicate with a person a lot, and this brings you joy. Moreover, I was lucky to meet some of the Internet acquaintances in reality, and this only strengthened our affection.
  8. (49 words) There is a saying on the Internet: “A friend is not someone who communicates with you in free time, but the one who frees up time to chat with you. We can agree with this: when a person sacrifices his deeds for the sake of another, it means that he appreciates him; and if not, it's most likely just a friendship that doesn't last long.
  9. (45 words) Friendship is incompatible with selfishness - that's a fact. Good example For me, Anna is my friend. I know I can always count on her. Once I urgently needed someone to come and sit with younger brother while I'm away. Anya agreed without hesitation, although she lives on the other side of the city.
  10. (48 words) You can be friends not only with people. Aren't our pets true friends? My dog is always waiting for me from school, and if he sees that I am upset with something, he tries to console me, for example, puts his head on his knees or calls me to play. And vice versa, when she sees that I am busy, she will not interfere.

Introduction

The topic of my essay is death, love, freedom and friendship in the books of J.K. Rowling "Harry Potter".

The Harry Potter books are an example of a very good and useful youth literature, because these books pose real, not invented problems, besides, they solve them in a Christian spirit. The whole "magic", magical component, which takes up a lot of space, serves the author interesting plot to present eternal themes in an unusual way.

The leading themes of all the books are death, love, freedom and friendship, in that order. They are inextricably linked. Rowling takes each one of them seriously and doesn't give easy, comforting answers to difficult questions, does not underestimate their importance, which is a great advantage of books.

I. The theme of death in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter books.

Death, as you know, is not a topic for children. Why, then, in battle or just in a dream, by fatal accident or as a result of intricate intent - do friends and enemies of Harry Potter die in all seven volumes? Let's see what author JK Rowling has to say about this. : “My books are mostly about death. They begin with the death of Harry's parents. Or take Voldemort's relentless desire to conquer death. Immortality at any cost is the goal of anyone who has touched magic. I understand why he wants to conquer death - we are all afraid of it.

In the Harry Potter books, not only negative characters die, but also many positive, innocent characters. And this is a pretty serious departure from the canons. fairy tales, where the forces of light always defeat the dark ones, bad heroes die, and good ones live happily ever after. But the author does not kill the characters to spice things up. storyline. Every death has some symbolic meaning.

Sirius' death deprives Harry of a mentor.

Buckley's death symbolizes the end of Harry's childhood.

Dumbledore's death proves that the death of a great leader cannot stop the war.

Dobby's death is that even a small creature can die like a hero.

Snape's death speaks to the fact that you can always change your path.

Fred's death demonstrates very clearly that you can never come to terms with someone's death. And that's okay.

Death is a theme that runs like a thread through the whole work.

Here, perhaps main question, which Rowling asks in her book and which gives two alternative answers. If this is an absolute evil, then it must be fought against by any means, including killing other people. The one who survived wins. The one who died lost. This philosophy is professed main villain saga Lord Voldemort and his supporters.

Harry Potter, his friends and mentors "through a dark glass" come to a different answer: death is a terrible reality that causes a lot of grief to all living things, but cannot be eliminated by one's own efforts, especially by causing harm to others. Moreover, it is possible and necessary to accept death yourself, if this is the only condition for the salvation of other people. And it is precisely this answer that triumphs in the book and turns out to be the path to another, eternal life.

II. The theme of love in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter books.

Love in the book is a mysterious gift that in some unknown way creates the personality of a loved one and which cannot be replaced by anything. Its highest manifestation is parental love for children, disinterested and sacrificial. When reading books, one circumstance is surprising: two boys grew up as orphans, in strange houses as poor relatives, but for some reason, one turned out to be a wonderful boy Harry Potter over time, and the other turned out to be the notorious villain Voldemort.

But it's all about love: Harry at least lived the first year of his life with his parents, who loved him boundlessly, and the last thing his mother did was she sacrificed herself for him.

Voldemort's father left him before birth, and his mother did not find the strength to live for her son. Perhaps these circumstances set opposite directions in life for both heroes, although, of course, they did not completely predetermine them.

The meaning of love for a person is shown implicitly in the book. But there is also one beautiful fragment where it is spoken about directly: “If there is one thing in the world that Voldemort cannot understand, it is love. He couldn't understand what love is like strong love that your mother felt for you leaves her mark. This is not a scar, this trace is invisible at all ... If you are so deeply loved, then even when the person who loves you dies, you still remain under his protection. Your protection lies in your skin. That is why Quirrell, full of hatred, greed and ambition, who shared his soul with Voldemort, could not touch you. Touching a person marked by such a strong and kind feeling as love caused him unbearable pain.

The sense of protection that parental love gives is boundless. And in these few words, JK Rowling brilliantly conveyed the magic of love.

III. The theme of freedom in the books of J. K. Rowling about Harry Potter.

The significance and preciousness of freedom are shown in many situations. a prime example this is the release of the house elf Dobby from his masters.

By deceit, Harry Potter freed the house elf, thereby thanking him for his help.

But, of course, the most important thing is the interpretation of freedom as the right to choose what and what you believe. Everyone chooses his own path. Someone believes in a bright future and victory over dark forces, and someone believes in the omnipotence of the Dark Lord. The world does not give unshakable evidence of the correctness of certain ideas, the correctness of good or evil. Material, tangible facts do not indicate solely Right way. In every situation there is room for free choice that takes place in a person's heart is both tormenting and precious. This is shown in the choice of the Malfoy family, who were devoted to the Dark Lord until the last battle, but after they were left disarmed and defenseless, they decided not to take sides, and fled the battlefield.

IV. The theme of friendship in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books.

Friendship in the book is presented in a very touching way, although in the history of the friendship of the three main characters (Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger) there is nothing qualitatively new or unusual compared to other well-known unions of friends of world literature. But it is a source of warmth and smiles throughout all seven books, and it cannot but rejoice, because good news all inhabitants magical world(and readers behind them) are by no means spoiled.

Throughout the seven books, there is an unbreakable thread of friendship that runs through all difficulties. So, the heroes experience magic chess together, in the dungeon; the time-turner, when saving Buckbeak and Sirius Black; Tournament of three wizards; fight in the Ministry of Magic; the death of the director - Albus Dumbledore, as well as the war.

It is impossible not to say about the strong friendship of these heroes. Even after Ron Weasley, possessed by a Horcrux, left his friends, Harry and Hermione did not stop waiting for him. After the return of the red-haired friend, it turned out that he wanted to return immediately, but did not find the way. This only speaks of inseparable connection friendship that accompanies our heroes.

Conclusion

Harry Potter is one of those few books that fills our lives with magic. Page after page, that's the end of the first book. Others will gradually follow.

The Harry Potter books don't have bad sides. It does not promote teenage problems, strained relationships with parents, unrequited love, drugs, alcohol, smoking. It is better to say that this is "a children's fairy tale for adult hearts." Many argue that this is just nonsense for kids: magic, wizards, miracles. Well, what's wrong with that? After all, read scientific literature much more useful. This is profoundly wrong.

Firstly, books about a young wizard teach us courage, courage, honor, valor. And also to be able to love, appreciate friendship and your family. Each character in the book left his page. For example, Harry taught us that you should never give up. Hermione showed us by her example that being smart is very good and that in our time, for girls, the mind is held in high esteem. Ron taught us about loyalty as well as devotion and how faith in anything is more important than luck. The moon has taken us to a world where you just have to believe. From Lily Potter's side, we saw that the maternal power of love is the most powerful force on the ground. With Fred and George we laughed even in the dark times.

Our world is getting bigger, our imagination is developing.

It doesn't matter at what age you read books about the young wizard Harry Potter. The main thing is how you look at everything that happens.

J. K. Rowling's book touches on the eternal, inseparable themes of being. Therefore, even in a hundred years, our generations will be reading stories about the Boy-Who-Lived.
