opening speech teachers:

Not far from Moscow, in the village of Peredelkino, in a small house for many years lived a tall gray-haired man, whom all the children of the country knew. He invented many fairytale heroes: Muhu-Tsokotuhu, Barmaleya, Moidodyr. This one's name wonderful person Korney Chukovsky.
Korney Chukovsky is pseudonym writer. His real name is Nikolai Vasilyevich Korneichukov.
Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky - storyteller, critic, translator, founder of children's literature. He was very industrious. “Always,” he wrote, “wherever I was: on the tram, in line for bread, in the dentist’s waiting room, so as not to waste time, I composed riddles for children. This saved me from mental idleness!”

Chukovsky became a children's poet and storyteller by accident. And it turned out like this. His little son got sick. K. Ivanovich was taking him on the night train. The boy was capricious, moaning, crying. In order to somehow entertain him, his father began to tell him a fairy tale:

There lived a crocodile

He walked the streets.

The boy suddenly fell silent and began to listen. The next morning, waking up, he asked his father to tell him yesterday's tale again. It turned out that he memorized it all, word for word.

Chukovsky's fairy tales help all children navigate the world around them, make them feel like a fearless participant in imaginary battles for justice, for goodness and freedom. The poems of K. Chukovsky bring up the ability to empathize, sympathize.Chukovsky is not among us. But his books live and will live for a long time.
