Description

Due to the small number of participants and the abundance of instruments, the musicians had to play, moving from one instrument to another. So that all these movements on the stage do not look like a chaotic running around, it was decided to stage all the actions. So, Anton Adasinsky (vocals, pantomime, trumpet) and showman Marat Timergazov (1986) were invited to the group. In the same year, saxophonists Elena Bobretsova and Alexei Merkushev joined AVIA. However music critics directorial and musical discoveries of the AVIATORS plunged into heavy confusion - the group's style has not yet been determined: elements of buffoonery, pantomime, gymnastics, shows, acrobatics, rhythm ballet, dances, poems interspersed with polystylistic music from march to hard rock ... Rock performances AVIA staggered the imagination of rockers and snobs.

In 1987, the group received the press prize at the Rock Panorama festival. In 1988, he recorded the album “Vsem!” at the Melodiya company. and goes on his first foreign tour (Finland, Yugoslavia). In October 1988, A. Adasinsky left the group, and Dmitry Tyulpanov came to replace him, as well as another saxophonist Evgeny Zhdanov.

In April 1990, AVIA presented a new program under the odious title "Towards the 1000th Anniversary of Great October", where the new musicians of the wind section V.Kuteinikov, E.Skoblov, who replaced A.Merkushev and E.Bobretsova, performed for the first time.

In 1991, M. Timergazov, D. Tyulpanov and Alexander Kondrashkin left the group, who was replaced by Ivan "Yan" Fedenko.

In the first half of the AVIA was mothballed - N. Gusev was engaged in musical projects at the Indie studio, owned by AVIA, K. Rakhov worked as a radio DJ and played in the NOM group, Zhdanov collaborated with the ethno-jazz combo SAMBHA.

In 1995, the Gusev-Rakhov-Zhdanov trio recorded the album Songs about Nature and Love (General Records).

The artist of all albums of the group was Rashid Almametov.

The debut of AVIA took place on January 31, 1986 in the Leningrad DK im. Lenin, where AVIA showed the program "From the life of the composer Zudov", which formed the basis of their debut album"The life and work of the composer Zudov", recorded at the studio of Alexei Vishnya.

Due to the small number of participants and the abundance of instruments, the musicians had to play, moving from one instrument to another. So that these movements on the stage do not look like a chaotic running around, it was decided to stage all the actions. So at the end of 1986, Anton Adasinsky (vocals, pantomime, trumpet, guitar) and a showman were invited to the group. From the same year, saxophonists Elena Bobretsova and Alexei Merkushev joined AVIA, and the artist Rashid Almametov became the permanent designer of the albums. AVIA's concerts reproduced the aesthetics of early Soviet constructivism and parades of athletes. Due to numerous unexpected creative discoveries, music critics were never able to unambiguously determine the style of the group: the performances contained elements of buffoonery, pantomime, gymnastics, shows, acrobatics, rhythm ballet, dance, poetry mixed with polystylistic music from march to hard rock. American journalists noted similarities with the rock band Devo.

June 1, 1986 AVIA performed at the IV Festival of the Leningrad Rock Club and became laureates, and Gusev and Kondrashkin were noted as the best instrumentalists.

In 1991, Marat Temirgazov, Dmitry Tyulpanov and Alexander Kondrashkin left the line-up, the latter was replaced by Ivan Fedenko at the drum kit.

How was the band born?

Three participants from the Leningrad rock band, Gusev, Rakhov and Kondrashkin, in the fall of 1985 decided to create their own program and start performing separately. From that moment began the history of the Avia group. In the House of Culture of the city of Leningrad, she demonstrated to the audience a new composition program. In the future, this work will form the basis of the band's first album. On the stage, the musicians ran from one instrument located in a certain place to another. And so that it does not look at least strange, all the actions on the stage were carefully scheduled and discussed. There are few musicians, many instruments. Therefore, the Avia team began to urgently look for a way out. The group has replenished with new members. A vocalist who played the trumpet and guitar, two saxophonists joined its ranks. An artist and a showman have been added.

The composition of the Avia group has now become complete, diverse. The program included pantomimic studies, elements of sports figures that were fashionable in the early Soviet period. Members of the team read poetry, danced, did acrobatics. Avia is a group that has baffled many music critics. They found it difficult to determine its belonging to a particular style. It cost nothing for the musicians to play marching music and rock compositions at the concert.

The team receives universal recognition

Almost immediately after its creation, six months later, the group at the festival of the same rock bands becomes a laureate. And two participants were recognized as the best instrumentalists. For the young team, this was a real triumph. From that moment on, luck began to accompany all its members. 1987 - received the prize of the Rock Panorama-87 festival, 1988 - an album was recorded on the famous Soviet time Melodiya company. Tours took place in Finland and Yugoslavia. Avia is a group that has received permission to broadcast on Central Television. Three of her songs were heard by the mass Soviet audience.

In 1988, the group underwent a line-up change. Having created his own theater, the saxophonist leaves Avia. But the team has already gained fame, so Anton Adasinsky, who left the group, was replaced by two talented musicians at once. A year and a half passed, and the team started talking about new program. The musicians choose a patriotic name for their new performance, in which they mention the Great October Socialist Revolution. Tour, new album, released in the UK, received four stars, another change in the composition of the team - all this seething series of events did not contribute to unity in any way, but, on the contrary, broke the group into separate elements. Nikolai Gusev began to engage in individual projects at his native studio. Alexey Rakhov got a job at a radio studio as a DJ. Zhdanov determined that he was attracted to the ethnic direction in music and chose the SAMBHA group. But four years after such a stratification, the group releases an album that includes songs about love. This music release turned out to be deeply lyrical.
