What is art?

WHAT IS ART?
Art is an image of the world and man, processed in the mind
the artist and expressed by him in sounds, colors, images and forms. AT
artistic images reflect not only reality, but also
worldview of cultural epochs.
Rafael Santi "School of Athens"
Leonardo da Vinci "La Gioconda"

Suggestion methods

METHODS OF SUGGESTION
Nowadays there are a lot of
methods of instilling certain feelings in a person and
thoughts. The most common method is
- art.
Art Functions:
aesthetic function allows you to reproduce reality according to
the laws of beauty, forms an aesthetic taste;
social function is manifested in the fact that art has
ideological impact on society, thereby transforming
social reality;
psychological function allows you to restore mental
balance, solve psychological problems
hedonistic function reflects the ability of art
bring pleasure to a person;
cognitive function allows you to know reality and
analyze it with the help of artistic images;
educational function is manifested in the ability of works
the art of shaping a person's personality.

Kinds of art:

KINDS OF ART:
Literature uses verbal and written means to
building images. There are three main types of literature
- Drama, epic and lyrics and numerous genres.
Music uses sound media. Music is divided into
vocal (intended for singing) and instrumental.
Painting reflects reality on a plane by means of
colors. Genres of painting - portrait, still life, landscape, and
also household and historical.
Architecture forms a spatial environment in the form
structures and buildings for human life. It is divided into residential and
public.
Sculpture creates works of art,
volume and three-dimensional shape.
The theater organizes a special stage action
through acting. theater can be
dramatic, operatic, puppet, etc.

Literary image and its suggestion

LITERARY IMAGE AND ITS SUGGESTATION
Literary images are not only
reflection of reality, but also
generalization. The author not only shows
how he sees the real reality, he
creates his own, new fictional world. FROM
with the help of images, the artist depicts
own personal idea of the real
life, the perception of natural events.

How is an artwork created?

HOW IS AN ARTISTIC IMAGE CREATED?
In literature, the image of a hero is formed through the use of
some means that help to inspire and understand a person whether this person is bad
character or vice versa:
1. The character must have a first name, last name and patronymic. Also
speaking names and surnames are very common,
especially the classics. For example, Mrs. Prostakova and
Mitrofan from D. I. Fonvizin's comedy "Undergrowth".
2. Portrait of a hero. The author describes the character, appearance or
some details that characterize the character.
For example, a detailed portrait of Chichikov represents
us N. V. Gogol in his poem "Dead Souls".
3. Interior characterizing the character. In the novel by I.A.
Goncharov "Oblomov" the author gives us a description of the apartment,
where the main character lives.
4. The actions of the character, reflecting his essence.
5. Artistic details. In the novel "Oblomov" it is
the hero's worn robe and his large slippers. BUT
in the work of I. S. Turgenev "Fathers and Sons" such
the weather-beaten hands of Bazarov become a detail without
gloves.

Acting

ACTING
Nearly all actors are susceptible to suggestive actions. Every actor
tries to play confidently and truthfully. There are actors who are even at home
rehearsing in costume. The suit inspires them with their role, focuses
their consciousness on the role. Even more influence in this sense is the environment,
scenery, etc. SOVIET PROPAGANDA POSTERS AS
A MEANS OF SUSPICTION
In pre-revolutionary Russia, leaflets and other
print media, including posters,
were rarely used by official authorities.
But in the first years of Soviet power, this species
propaganda acquired special significance, received
rapid development and even became a separate
futuristic art. The people should
outline the joyful prospects of a new world,
give the impression of a pattern
ongoing changes and instil the idea of an inevitable
and heavy bloody struggle. Wanted
bright and bold colors, unusual approaches to
the design of these works of art.
Soviet propaganda posters of those years are different
expressiveness and revolutionary not only
content, but also form. They call
sign up as volunteers for the Red Army,
beat the bourgeoisie, hand over bread to the proletarian
food orders and not to drink raw water. To create these
masterpieces had a hand in famous artists and
poets (Denny, Mayakovsky and others), than and
explains their high artistic
dignity. But such posters were not always carried for
are positive calls.

    thesaurus

Suggestor - a source of suggestion or suggestive subject - any individual, group, mass media. Suggerend - an object of suggestion (suggested) - an individual, a group, a social stratum Infection - 1) the process of transferring an emotional state from one to another at the psychophysiological level of contact in addition to or in addition to the actual semantic impact; 2) a method of influence based on the common experience of a large mass of people of the same emotions. Infection can have varying degrees of arbitrariness. In the presence of feedback, it can grow due to mutual induction, acquiring the form of a circular reaction. (The manifestation of the reaction of sports fans) Imitation is a mechanism of socialization, following the model. There are different psychological mechanisms behind imitation: in infancy - imitation of movements and sounds is an attempt to establish contact in childhood - penetration into the meaning of human activity through modeling in play in youth - identification with an idol, belonging to a group in adulthood - learning in professional activities

    slide 3

"Placebo effect" (ras. lat. placebo - get better, satisfy) - an outwardly positive therapeutic effect, which is associated with the authority of doctors, with the authority of drugs and the degree of self-hypnosis of the patient. A placebo is a fake drug (such as regular lactose) given to you under the guise of a real one. It is used when the real cause of the disease is not medical, but psychological (for example, gastritis caused by long-term depression). The placebo effect is when this ascorbic acid really helped you. Pathology - (from the Greek παθος - suffering, pain, illness and λογος - study) - a painful deviation from the normal state or development process. Pathologies include processes of deviation from the norm, processes that disrupt homeostasis, diseases, dysfunctions. Affect - (from Latin affectus - emotional excitement, passion) - a strong, rapidly emerging and rapidly flowing mental state, characterized by a strong and deep experience, a vivid external manifestation, narrowing of consciousness and a decrease in self-control. Affect (psychology) is an emotional process characterized by short duration, intensity and pronounced physiological manifestations.

    DEFINITION

Suggestion is a conscious, unreasoned impact on a person or a group of people, which aims to change their state, attitude to something and predisposition to certain actions. Psychological impact on a person’s consciousness, in which an uncritical perception of beliefs and attitudes occurs. It is a specially formed verbal (sometimes emotional) constructions. The main means of suggestion is the word. Facial expressions and gestures have an additional impact

    slide 5

    Suggestion efficiency

Firstly, the characteristics of the one who carries out the suggestion (suggestor) are of great importance - his social status, attractiveness, volitional and intellectual characteristics. psychological defense mechanisms The third significant factor is the features of the relationship between the suggestor and the suggestor - trust, authority, dependence Fourthly, the effectiveness of suggestion depends on the way the message is constructed - the level of argumentation, the nature of the combination of logical and emotional components, reinforcement by other influences

    slide 6

According to V.M. Bekhterev, suggestion acts by direct inoculation of mental states, i.e. ideas, feelings and sensations, without requiring any evidence at all and without needing logic. Suggestion is a much more widespread and often more powerful factor than persuasion. It plays a particularly prominent role in our education, at least as long as the logical apparatus of the child will not reach a certain degree of development, allowing him to assimilate logical conclusions. Suggestions gain strength through repetition. A person can reject an offer made once, but if he listens to the same thing for a while, he will accept it. In addition, suggestion may not produce a noticeable effect immediately, but manifest itself after a certain time. When the conscious mind is interested and distracted, the subconscious mind is left unprotected and absorbs everything that is said to it.

    Slide 7

    TYPES OF SUGGESTION

Direct - the impact of words. a) commands and orders. They are authoritarian and directive. These are sharp, short phrases, accompanied by appropriate facial expressions, gestures, and intonation. Usually phrases are repeated several times. b) instructions that affect emotions, attitudes and behavioral motives. These are soft lulling phrases, they are repeated several times in a calm tone. Indirect - hidden, disguised suggestion. Intermediate actions or an irritant are used to enhance the effect, for example, a pill that does not have medicinal properties (“placebo effect”). Assimilated indirect suggestion unconsciously, involuntarily, imperceptibly.

    Slide 8

    Intentional and unintentional suggestion

Intentional suggestion - the suggestor tries to achieve a specific goal, knows what and to whom he wants to inspire, makes efforts to achieve his goals. For intentional suggestion, it is not necessary to put the suggerend into a state of sleep, there is no need for any subordination of the will of the suggested person. Involuntary (involuntary) suggestion - suggestion does not set itself the goal of instilling something into the suggerend and does not make any efforts. Occurs when one person communicates naturally with another. Perhaps in the case of the suggerend's predisposition to what is suggested. (That is, the suggestion “You won’t succeed!” will only work if it is expressed at the moment when something didn’t work out for the suggerend). This suggestion occurs imperceptibly for the person on whom it acts, and therefore usually does not evoke any resistance on his part. It rarely acts immediately, more often slowly but surely strengthens in the psychic sphere. Involuntary suggestion affects us everywhere and everywhere in everyday life. Without noticing it ourselves, we acquire to a certain extent feelings, superstitions, prejudices, inclinations, thoughts, and even character traits from those around us with whom we most often deal.

    Slide 9

    Deliberate suggestion. Hypnosis

Hypnosis is an artificially induced dream-like state in which not the entire cerebral cortex is covered by inhibition, but its individual sections; the so-called "sentinel points" maintain excitability, providing contact of the hypnotized with stimuli. Hypnosis is a temporary state of consciousness, characterized by a narrowing of its volume and a sharp focus on the content of suggestion, which is associated with a change in the function of individual control and self-awareness. For everyone who is interested in the problems of hypnosis, two requirements must be met: 1. It is strictly forbidden to influence, and even more so to treat with hypnosis, persons who do not have a special medical education. 2. Hypnosis treatment is contraindicated for children under 10-12 years old. The general conditions for entering a hypnotic state are as follows: - deactivating effect of any of the monotonous stimuli; - complete relaxation (relaxation) of the patient; - installation on the patient's perception of the dominant stimulus and rejection of all extraneous stimuli.

    Slide 10

    susceptibility to hypnosis

To hypnotize means to influence in the sense of lulling. Every non-mentally ill person can sleep and to some extent succumb to spiritual influence, almost all normal people - experienced hypnotists have seen this in practice - can be hypnotized. Bernheim considered a hypnotist to be insufficiently experienced if he was not able to hypnotize, at least 80% of their patients. Liebeault found, on average, among 100 people only three who did not succumb to the influence of hypnosis at all; Wetterstrand in Stockholm totaled 3%, Belander in Jönköping - 2%, Van Rentergem in Amsterdam - 6%, Notzing - 10%, Tukkei - 14%, Trout totaled 6%. Among those who cannot be influenced there are many nervous people, while in general people with healthy nerves are more deeply sedated than nervous people. The mentally ill cannot be hypnotized.

    slide 11

    POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SUGGESTION

  • slide 12

    SELF-SUGGEMENT

SELF-Suggestion - the inculcation of mental states, due not to extraneous influences, but to internal reasons, the source of which is in the personality of the person undergoing self-hypnosis Self-hypnosis develops without external influence and can manifest itself in the form of pure representation; for example, ideas: "now I'm tired", "now my head is spinning", - may arise in someone during a walk and produce the corresponding action. Such auto-suggestion is formed not by healthy thinking, but due to an imaginary representation, a mental "contagion" or a false interpretation of physical perceptions. From a scientific point of view, it would be more correct to call an erroneous representation the result of imagination, which is easily suppressed by persuasion. And the concept of "self-hypnosis" should refer to such mental processes that manifest themselves in the form of suggestion, cause physical actions and cannot be pushed aside by convictions or willpower.

    slide 13

    Mass suggestion

It is easier to hypnotize any person if he has seen other people's hypnosis. Especially children take a great part in this, psychologists have seen children fall asleep while hypnotizing others. And this contagiousness of suggestions - it can be called psychic induction - is also revealed in reality. Suggestion is the stronger, the more people have already obeyed it: of course, if we assume that everyone in the group has approximately the same predisposition to suggestion. The more people are internally or externally similar to others. - by clothes, by age with peers, by education with people of the same profession or by views or intentions at political meetings - the stronger mutual spiritual influence develops. Involuntarily, thoughts and feelings take a general direction, attention rushes in the same way, we are ready for common perceptions, the same views. The more uncultured the mass, the greater the influence of suggestions.

    Slide 14

    suggestion transmitters

The main transmitter of suggestion from one person to another is the organ of hearing, since verbal suggestion is both the most common and most valid Visual suggestion - including the use of images of persons, objects or phenomena. Suggestion through the tactile and muscular senses. Direct transmission of mental states due to pathology

    slide 15

    AUTOGENIC TRAINING

Autogenic training (AT) is a method of influencing a person on himself through self-hypnosis formulas in a state of complete relaxation (relaxation) in order to influence his mood, feelings, intentions, will. The key point of AT is the ability to achieve a state of autogenic immersion - a kind of half-asleep, in which figurative, emotionally colored ideas affect that part of the human nervous system that is not controlled by the conscious will. In other words, it is in this situation that conditions are created for the training of the unconscious psyche. Here is a complete scheme of AT exercises, consisting of a sequence of formulas to achieve the state of autogenic immersion: To exit the state of immersion, the phrase is used: “Hands are clenched. Breathing is deep. Open eyes. Relax your hands.

inspired by one common idea, the taking of the Bastille and the rebuff on the borders of France of the European troops that surrounded the latter during the Great Revolution can serve. No doubt the same power of suggestion is at work in the troops, leading them to brilliant victories. One cannot, of course, dispute the fact that discipline and a sense of duty create one powerful, colossal body from the troops, but the latter, in order to manifest its power, also needs spiritualizing power, and this power lies in the external idea that finds a lively response. in the hearts of the combatants. The same power of suggestion explains the heroic deeds and self-sacrifice of the troops under the influence of one exciting word of their beloved commander, when, it would seem, there was no longer any hope of success. Obviously, the power of suggestion in these cases takes precedence over the conviction and consciousness of the impossibility of achieving the goal and leads to results that could not have been foreseen or expected even a minute later.

Art is the suggestion of a certain system of thoughts and feelings, an almost hypnotic effect on the subconscious and on the entire human psyche. Often the work is literally mesmerizing. Suggestion (inspiring influence) was already inherent in primitive art.

In the 19th and 20th centuries, literature was used to turn the people against the authorities and prepare them for a revolution. For example Literature - Gorky, Mayakovsky. Pushkin had such works, which is why in the spring of 1820 he was summoned to the military governor-general of St. Petersburg, Count M. A. Miloradovich, to explain the content of his poems (including epigrams on Arakcheev, Archimandrite Photius and Alexander I himself).

The Australian tribes on the night before the battle caused a surge of courage in themselves with songs and dances. The ancient Greek legend tells: the Spartans, exhausted by a long war, turned to the Athenians for help, they sent the lame and frail musician Tyrtaeus instead of reinforcements as a mockery. However, it turned out that this was the most effective help: Tirteus raised the morale of the Spartans with his songs, and they defeated the enemies.

The propaganda poster is the main form of fine art during the Second World War. One of the most famous posters of the war years is "The Motherland Calls", created by the artist Irakli Toidze at the end of June 1941. The image of the Motherland is obviously connected with the image of Mother Russia, which was widely used during the First World War and the Civil War for propaganda.
