Kirill Suponev, son of Sergei Suponev, died, the cause of death was suicide

The young man was found hanged in his own apartment

The son of the famous TV presenter Sergei SUPONEV was found hanged today in his apartment in the South-West of Moscow. According to preliminary data, 28-year-old Kirill SUPONEV committed suicide. The body was discovered by the mother of the deceased, who was absent from their apartment on Osenny Boulevard for only 10 minutes. Recall that Sergei Suponev, the host of the Starry Hour program, died in December 2001 in the village of Edimonovo near Tver, riding a snowmobile.

No suicide note was found in the apartment. A pre-investigation check has been launched on the fact of suicide, as a result of which the issue of initiating a criminal case will be resolved. According to neighbors, the Suponevs did not live in this apartment on Osenny Boulevard and appeared there extremely rarely. The deceased Kirill received an excellent education: the young man graduated from the Faculty of International Journalism of MGIMO, was a drummer in the Romeo Must Die group, and was going to become the host of children's programs on television. After graduating from college, the guy lived separately from his mother. As a child, Cyril often starred with his father in television programs. According to friends, after the death of Suponev Sr., the young man became more nervous and closed in on himself: he idolized his father, and his death was a terrible blow to him.

This is not the first tragedy in the family of the late TV presenter: in March of this year, Sergei Suponev's sister, singer and actress Lena Perova, tried to cut her veins. The ex-soloist of the Lyceum group was admitted to the hospital with cut wounds on her wrist. On the afternoon of March 20, Elena Perova cut her hand. However, the wound was not very serious, and she helped herself. After that, the TV presenter got scared and went to her psychiatrist. However, she had an accident along the way. Perova was taken to the hospital by ambulance from the scene of an accident on Obraztsova Street, where her Opel collided with a Mercedes SUV. As Perova later said in an interview, on that day she broke up with her loved one, and this provoked a nervous breakdown.

Sergei Suponev was married twice, Kirill Suponev - a son from his first marriage. From the second, the TV presenter had a daughter, Polina, now she is 13 years old. Suponev died on the evening of December 8, 2001 in the village of Edimonovo while driving on the ice of the Volga on a Yamaha snowmobile. The snowmobile skidded, and at full speed it crashed into the wooden bridges of the river pier half-hidden under the ice. 38-year-old Sergei was badly injured, the injuries were fatal.

Widow Suponeva: "The son of Sergei is looking for himself ..."

In 2007, the widow of Sergei Suponev, Olga, gave an interview to Express Gazeta, in which she told how her life developed after the death of her husband. Olga also touched on the topic of relationships with relatives of the star spouse ():

When Sergei passed away, I was left alone in this creepy big house, which I didn’t want to move into for a long time. Seryozha literally dragged me there in his arms, - says his widow. - After the final division of the inheritance, this mansion went to me, or rather, our daughter Polina. It was the condition of other relatives that it was Polya who was listed as the mistress of the house.

-And with whom of Suponev's relatives do you communicate now?

Virtually no one. I used to have a good relationship with Serezha's dad, actor and poet Yevgeny Kuzmich Suponev. But he strongly passed after the tragedy. I have already survived two strokes ... Sometimes I communicate with Serezha's first wife, Leroy. She works on television - writes texts for various programs. But with their son Cyril, we rarely see each other lately. He, probably, has another stage of transitional age - he is looking for himself. The guy is smart, cheerful, graduated from the Faculty of International Journalism at MGIMO, plays drums in the Romeo Must Die group, goes to television auditions. Perhaps he will be one of the hosts of the new morning show on one of the central channels. With Seryozha's sister, Lena Perova, my age, our relationship did not work out right away. She is a very specific girl, and we are simply not on the same wavelength.

A whole generation of teenagers grew up on Sergei's programs - Marathon 15, Call of the Jungle, Finest Hour, Up to Sixteen and Older, gathered millions of Soviet schoolchildren at television screens.

Suponev was born in the Moscow region, in the small village of Khotkovo, in a family of art workers. His parents worked at the Theater of Satire - his father was an actor, and his mother played the piano in the orchestra. Later, Sergei's parents separated, and his father married Olga Kraeva, a commentator at the Mayak radio station, who played a big role in the professional development of Sergei Suponev - it was she who advised him to try his hand at television, which determined his entire future fate.

Sergei dreamed of becoming a journalist as a schoolboy and even then he was a freelance correspondent for Yunost, and after graduating from school he entered Moscow State University. His studies at the university were interrupted by service in the ranks of the Soviet army, where he was called after completing his first year. After serving in the military band of the military unit of Mulino, Gorky region, Sergei returned and continued his studies.

Suponev got a job at the television center even before the army, however, at first he worked as a simple loader, and only after returning from the ranks of the armed forces began his creative biography on television. At first he worked as an administrator in the music editorial office and participated in the preparation of holiday programs. For two years Sergei Suponev worked in the propaganda department and only in 1986 did he join the Children's Editorial Board.

The first program for which he began to prepare stories was the project "Up to 16 and older", and a year later he was transferred to the position of junior editor. The first author's program by Sergei Suponev was released in 1988 and was called "Marathon 15", which was based on reports from the life of young people.

Since 1994, Sergei Suponev's own television company, Klass!, began its existence, producing children's and teenage programs, including Early in the Morning, Good Night, Kids!, Smarties and Smart Girls, While Everyone is Home .

The TV presenter had a special talent for finding a common language with children, and therefore he was great at entertaining and educational programs for this audience.

The death of Sergei Suponev

On the eve of his death, Sergei spoke about his new project, which he was going to release in a year, but this was not destined to come true - a few days after this interview, Sergei Suponev died. He died near his country house, crashing on a snowmobile.

Sergei was moving along the bed of a frozen river and crashed into a tree at full speed, after which he was thrown out of his seat. The accident resulted in severe injuries, from which the thirty-eight-year-old journalist died on the spot.

Personal life of Sergei Suponev

Sergey was not only a talented TV presenter, but also a charming person who had no problems with communication, and the girls were drawn to him as an interesting conversationalist and a handsome man. In the personal life of Sergei Suponev, there were two marriages, and each time, according to him, he married for great love.

But before that, he managed to become the father of his second child - the daughter of Polina, whom Olga gave birth to in 2000.

The son of Sergei Suponev, Kirill, lived even less than his father - at the age of twenty-nine, he committed suicide. According to the stories of acquaintances, Sergei's death greatly influenced him - Cyril became withdrawn, almost stopped laughing.

He could have achieved a lot in life - Kirill Suponev graduated from MGIMO, was a drummer in one of the Moscow musical groups, but something went wrong, and a young, promising guy decided to voluntarily die.

Kirill was the son of the popular Star Hour TV host Sergei Suponev, who tragically died in 2001. The young man, very similar in appearance to his star parent, continued the "family business" on TV and proved himself well in his work. True, he refused the offer to replace his father on his main program out of unwillingness to use his father's glory. He died 12 years after the death of Suponev Sr., at the age of 28. The cause of death of Kirill Suponev, according to the conclusion of the investigating authorities, is suicide.

He was born in 1984 into a family with rich cultural and artistic traditions. His grandfather was an actor in the Theater of Satire, and his grandmother was a pianist. In addition to parents, uncle and aunt, paternal half-sister Elena Perova worked on television. Kirill had many talents from childhood and also worked on TV from an early age. He was the host of the TV program "Everything is Possible", under the pseudonym Cyril Venopus. Having matured, he successfully graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of MGIMO and came to television as a certified specialist.

During Cyril's studies, his parents divorced and he endured it very hard, even promised his father, in his hearts, that their windows would be thrown out. Later, the young man began to behave more calmly, but withdrew and rarely spoke frankly with others. When his father died, his behavior again came to a crisis point. Influential friends found Suponev Jr. a job on TV, which he did excellently. Occupying the positions of director and producer, he, after a while, began to prepare his own television projects, but was in no hurry to get into the frame. Something in his attitude broke and it was felt by close people.

In addition to TV, Cyril had another serious hobby - music. He became the drummer in a band with the strange name Romeo Must Die. The group's affairs were not very large, it did not receive wide popularity: the musicians just sometimes gave concerts for a small audience. In 2013, by a common decision of all members of this team, it was announced the termination of its activities. A few hours before leaving for one of their farewell concerts, Kirill was found in a noose by his mother.

She has recently been very worried about her son and even insisted that he move from his apartment on Autumn Boulevard to her. On this day, September 27, the two of them arrived at Kirill's old dwelling to pick up some things. Having left for just a few minutes, the poor woman returned and saw her son hanged. He did not leave a death note.

There were several versions of why Kirill Suponev died. In addition to the almost immediately rejected criminal, it could have been suicide for various reasons, including illness and borderline conditions. According to relatives and neighbors, Kirill had health problems and often disappeared in the hospital, but no one knew which doctors and for what reason. Speculation about drug addiction or severe depression is not confirmed by anything. Perhaps the relatives do not want to make public all the details of the case, and this is their right.

Suponev's colleague Timur Kizyakov says: Probably, there is some sad pattern that this happened to a person with such a temperament, activity, energy. A calm, cowardly person, probably, would not have sat behind the wheel. But I would not have achieved such success in my life ...". Unfortunately, this is true. Suponev did not spare himself, did not stop in front of difficulties and, in pursuit of new sensations, constantly risked his own life. His gambling played a cruel joke with him.
