Cyprus white sand beaches. The best beaches

The island of Cyprus is one of the most picturesque and fascinating places on our planet. Millions of tourists come here from all over the world to see with their own eyes the grandeur and beauty of nature in its almost untouched state. Truly, the most beautiful things on earth are not created by man, but by Mother Nature. And we, people, can only once again be surprised and bow before the abundance of fabulous landscapes that we meet on our life path. One of the most prominent representatives of such fantastic places, one might say the standard, are the chic beaches of Cyprus. It would seem that the luxurious coasts are worthy of only the gods stepping on them.

“In heaven, there is only talk about the sea. And about sunset. They talk about how great it is to watch a huge fireball. How it melts in the waves. And a barely visible light, as if from a candle, burns somewhere in the depths ... ”- with these words one legendary film ends, in which two people go on a journey to the sea. If in the sky they talk about the sea and beaches, then do not doubt that this sea will be the Mediterranean, and the beaches are on the coast of Cyprus. After all, it is here that you feel the most subtle connection between water and sky. In these places, both the sea and the sky merge into one in the same azure and soft colors.

The beaches in Cyprus are able to give a lot of fabulous moments in which you will forget not only about the daily hustle and bustle, but also open the door to real peace of mind. The mild climate of the island, developed infrastructure and good amenities will only contribute to this. To do this, you just need to buy tickets from Cyprus to Moscow, and after 3 hours you can bask on the beach by the beautiful clear sea.

In the photo of the beaches of Cyprus, of course, they do not look as chic as if you saw them with your own eyes, but they allow you to form a certain idea of \u200b\u200bthe local flora and fauna. And there is no doubt that the impressions will be positive. Because the place where three elements meet - sky, water and earth - is already a priori endowed with something deep, primordial and mysterious.

The Blue Flag is proudly flying over the beaches of Cyprus. This is an award given only to the cleanest and safest European beaches. This will dispel all concerns about the level of ecology and safety. Here it is organized at the highest level.

In Cyprus, everyone can find a beach to their liking. Someone will like noisy places with a developed service, a lot of adjacent shops and cafes, and someone will like the almost wild corners of the island, where, one might say, no human foot has set foot. Both will be pleasantly surprised to know that all their wishes will be satisfied here. Do you like rocky beaches or do you prefer only sandy ones? Not a problem, because the north and south coasts of the Karpas will also solve this issue.

After viewing the photos of the beaches of Cyprus, there is no longer any doubt that if heaven on earth exists, then it is located on this island. Subtropical climate, magnificent nature, gorgeous beaches… the list is endless, so, as they say, it’s better to see once to remember it all your life.

If we step back from the beaches of Ayia Napa, which are the most popular on the island of Cyprus, then we should stop our attention on the coast of Cyprus, which will surely appeal to connoisseurs of a serene classic holiday.

On the beaches of Limassol

Many tourists recommend recommending a trip to the coastal resort town of Cyprus, Limassol. In the center of its tourist area lies a huge and well-maintained sandy Dasoudi beach (Dasoudi beach). This beach has a length of more than a kilometer along the eucalyptus grove.

On Dasoudi beach you can rent sunbeds, umbrellas or have a good time in beach bars. Not far from the beach, the national Cypriot tavern Dasoudi is open, where you can taste and feel the spicy Cypriot dishes from traditional vegetables and fish. A fairly large children's town has been built here not far from the restaurant. At the service of travelers and two volleyball courts, a slot machine hall. In a separate annex near the tavern, there are also free toilets, we apologize for the prose.

Lakarna or Protaras?

If you prefer a convenient and comfortable summer vacation in five-star, world-class hotels, then you better choose the beaches of Lakarna or Protaras.

Protaras is more often chosen by vacationers with children.

The island of Cyprus, as you know, is divided into two states, one of them - Northern Cyprus - is still not recognized by any country, with the exception of Turkey.

At the same time, there are also many beautiful beaches in the northern part of the island of Cyprus. For example, the beaches of Kyrenia, which are located in an isolated republic, are very suitable for sports enthusiasts, including water sports and scuba diving. Approximately five kilometers from Kyrenia, to the west, beyond Karaoglanoglu, near the sloping monuments is located Beach Sunset. It is located near the Cypriot fish restaurant Altinkaya. This delightful sandy beach is well protected and therefore great for children.

Located eleven kilometers from Kyrenia, to the west.

It is a sheltered and clean bay that offers a variety of water sports, including water skiing, parachuting, windsurfing, rafting, as well as various fun activities for little children. Here you can also rent sunbeds, this beach has a shower and a toilet.

Located sixteen kilometers from Kyrenia, to the west, it also provides all the amenities for guests: a bar, showers, sun loungers, umbrellas, etc.

Following from Kyrenia to the west, it is quite easy to find Guzelyali beach, about sixteen kilometers from the town, in Lapta. Here you can relax perfectly on a sunbed under an umbrella and enjoy the delightful sandy beach, which, at the entrance to the sea, turns into stone tiles. This beach has a bar and even a small restaurant, toilets are also available.

If you leave Kyrenia in a western direction, then even before Lapta, to the right of the path, after Karaoglanoglu and Alsankak, you can find a small sandy inkirli beach, indicated here by the blue pointer. Not far from the Inkirli beach is the Friends restaurant and beach bar. Shallow near the shore, this beach is great for kids. Inkirli Beach also has a bar and a restaurant, a free toilet, sun loungers, and all this for a very small fee.

Called Caravanserai, from Kyrenia to the west, is one of the most famous beaches of Kyrenia among beaches with developed services, an abundance of bars, restaurants and a delightful sandy coast.

To find Diana beach, it is necessary to pave the way from Kyrenia to the east. Its coast is sandy, alluvial sand, but the seabed is natural and rocky. On this beach you can rent a sunbed and an umbrella and have lunch in a colorful local restaurant and even ride a jet ski.

Cypriot acapulco beach is located approximately ten kilometers from Kyrenia to the east. On the site, at the moment when the coastal path turns east towards the mountains, you will see large letters advertising this wonderful beach. Further, the path forks, and if you turn left, then soon, after the military camp, the entrance to this wonderful complex will appear. Acapulco is a very popular tourist beach that offers its vacationers a lot of various exciting entertainment.

Still further east, about sixteen kilometers from Kyrenia, is Turtle Aladagi beach, it's free. Aladagi is a sandy beach with an excellent shallow bottom.

If you are going to this wonderful beach, then you should take your umbrellas, towels, as well as food, refreshing drinks, because beach service and various amenities, unlike natural conditions, are not so plentiful here. However, on this beach there is a Green Turtle bar, which is open throughout the summer months.

In the following articles, we will continue our story about the no less beautiful beaches of other Mediterranean, and not only, resorts.

Be with us, choose the rest to your liking!

There are many great beaches in Cyprus. It is not surprising, therefore, that most of the tourists come here just for the sake of them - beautiful beaches. The swimming season in Cyprus sometimes lasts for six months, and in August-September the water in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of the island warms up to 27-28 degrees. Almost all the beaches that will be discussed below are marked with the Blue Flag, which indicates their cleanliness and excellent ecology.

So, what is important to know about the beaches of Cyprus? Firstly, all local beaches are municipal and free. Almost everywhere on the beach you can rent sun loungers and sun umbrellas, but at the same time you can absolutely calmly (and for free!) Come to the beach with your own bedding and umbrella.

Secondly, all the beaches of Cyprus are very different, and before you book a hotel, check whether the nearest beach is right for you: on the coast of Cyprus there are secluded and calm beaches, and there are those where music rattles from morning until late at night, and the parties are interrupted literally for a few dawn hours.

It is believed that the best beaches in Cyprus are in the resorts of Protaras and Ayia Napa, however, everyone has different tastes and preferences, and it is better to find out in advance about all the available alternatives.

Ayia Napa- a resort with a vibrant nightlife: parties and clubs there - literally at every step. Parties on Nissi Beach start almost in the morning. However, the resort is very well planned, so that all the clubs are located in the depths, and the beaches are on the coast. Therefore, even with children it will also be very comfortable to relax here (just don't miss the choice of the beach!)

Protaras ideal for those who are looking for a relaxing family holiday (and, perhaps, it will be boring for lovers of active holidays).

Larnaca- the most budgetary and quiet resort in all of Cyprus, there are wide beaches and a convenient gentle entry into the water. There is one minus - perhaps someone will not like the planes coming in for landing and taking off literally overhead. The sea in Larnaca is warmer than in Ayia Napa and Protaras (sometimes the water in August can warm up to 28 degrees, which, it seems, is still “too much”: it’s already difficult to cool off in the heat in water of this temperature). The sand in Larnaca and Limassol has a gray tint, which makes the sea no longer seem as turquoise as in Ayia Napa and Protaras.

Limassol- the largest of the resorts of Cyprus. There are plenty of restaurants, clubs and other entertainment, luxury hotels, but the coast is not so picturesque. Paphos beaches- mostly stony. Not at all suitable for families with children. But it is able to please divers and, in addition, in Paphos - the most luxurious sea sunsets on the island.

Ayia Napa beaches

Nissi beach(Nissi Beach) in Ayia Napa

This white sand beach near Ayia Napa is probably the most famous in all of Cyprus. In terms of importance for the entire eastern part of Cyprus, this attraction can be compared with Copacabana for Rio de Janeiro. The “highlight” of this beach is a small picturesque island in the sea, which can be reached along a sandy spit. Nissi Beach has many hotels, excellent infrastructure and relaxed atmosphere. True, at times the music rushing from the speakers can seem unnecessarily intrusive.

At the same time, the beach infrastructure and the range of entertainment on the beach are beyond praise!

BeachGreek Bay(Greek Bay) in Ayia Napa

It is located almost in the very center of Ayia Napa, next to the 5-star hotel of the same name and next to the port. Thanks to the fine golden sand, this beach has gained fame as a favorite place for families with children. Here you will not find such revelry and fun as on NissiBeach, but by no means everyone goes to Cyprus for round-the-clock parties and new acquaintances.

The beach is well equipped. Rest here, mainly, guests of first-class hotels located along the beach.

Kermia beach(Kermia Beach) in Ayia Napa

The beach is located three kilometers from Ayia Napa, in fact, between Ayia Napa and Protaras, on the west coast of Cape Greco. It is small, sandy and very uncrowded, calm. From Ayia Napa to the beach, you can even walk along the footpath leading from the port along the coast. If you come here by car from Ayia Napa, the beach is located to the right of the highway. And between the highway and the beach there are numerous bungalows of the Kermia Beach Bungalow Hotel.

Makronissos Beach (Makronissos Beach) in Ayia Napa

Spacious (as much as 500 meters in length), one of the most calm, comfortable, and at the same time clean and beautiful beaches in Ayia Napa. "Miracles?" - you ask. Pure truth! This state of affairs is explained by the fact that the beach is located at a distance of about 5 km from the center of Ayia Napa, and the parking near the beach is very small, and in the season it is filled to capacity from the very morning. So we recommend coming here (unless, of course, you are guests of the nearby Dome Beach and Asterias Beach hotels) early in the morning.

There are no noisy beach disco parties here, but there is a good bar, and those who wish can play volleyball and go in for water sports. There is even a Diving center on the beach, not to mention the usual beach infrastructure - sun loungers, umbrellas, changing cabins, showers, etc.

Fine sand and a gently deepening bottom make this beach a suitable place for families with children.

Beaches of Protaras

Fig tree Bay(Fig Tree Bay) in Protaras

Dream Beach in Protaras - in 2011, according to Tripadvisor, the beach entered the TOP-3 of the best beaches in Europe and still rightfully bears the proud title of the best beach in Cyprus. A wonderful, almost white, sandy beach with clear water stretches along the coast for 500 meters. It is well equipped: showers and toilets, cafes and restaurants, sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, ample parking. If you decide to come here, keep in mind that the beach is very popular, and by noon all the sunbeds and umbrellas will be occupied. So I advise you to come early.

Konnos Bay(Konnos Bay Beach) in Protaras

A small beach (200 x 40 m) with golden sand, located in a cozy bay 2 km southeast of Protaras (ie, between Protaras and Ayia Napa).

Due to the fact that the beach is located near a rocky hill, the descent into the water here is quite steep, and the coast is rocky in places. Therefore, the beach is not suitable for vacationers with small children. But it is an ideal place for lovers of diving and snorkeling, as well as cliff jumping. High waves here are very rare, because the bay is protected from the wind from two sides.

Even at the height of the season you will not meet a large and noisy crowd of tourists here.

On the beach there is a rental point for umbrellas and sun loungers (the sun loungers here resemble, rather, plastic "troughs" in which you can not only sunbathe on the beach, but also swim on the water), a lifeguard tower, beach activities (quite traditional: boat trips and water views sports). Parking is located on a hill, about 100 meters from the beach. Nearby are cafes and restaurants, and several hotels.

The extreme points of the beach are more secluded, where you can feel complete unity with nature, peace and tranquility. From the beach, a narrow and winding path leads to picturesque caves, where in ancient times, according to legend, Cyclopes lived here - one-eyed monsters.

Also nearby is one of the most popular dive spots in Cyprus - ConnosPoint - I recommend it!

Louma Beach (Luma Beach) in Protaras

The beach with rich golden sand (hence its second name - Golden Coast) is located in the central part of the Protaras resort, near the Golden Coast Hotel. The bay is protected from the wind on both sides, the entrance to the water is very comfortable, so the beach is recommended for families with children.

The entire beach infrastructure is available here - rental of sunbeds and umbrellas, showers, toilets, cafes. Part of the beach is located in the shade of fig trees.

Sunrise beach(Sunrise Beach) in Protaras

All beaches of Protaras are equally good for families, including families with children, but the sandy Sunrise Beach is considered one of the most luxurious and well-equipped. This is not surprising - after all, the beach is located near the eponymous complex of 4-5-star hotels "Sunrise Beach". In fact, this beach is a continuation of Fig Tree Bay beach (Fig Tree Bay), and then goes to another beach. As a result, in Protaras, a long strip of beaches stretches along the entire coast, for many kilometers.

Slightly above the Sunrise Beach line, there is a promenade with an abundance of shops and souvenir shops, taverns and beach bars. There is also a large supermarket here.

The infrastructure is well developed on the beach: rental of umbrellas and sun loungers, showers and toilets, a playground, a rescue tower, playgrounds for sports games. Also, guests of the beach have access to such entertainment as diving, boat trips and yachts, an abundance of traditional water attractions and entertainment.

The beach and the bottom of the sea in this area are fine sandy, and the entrance to the water is gentle.

Flamingo beach(Flamingo Beach) in Protaras

The beaches of Protaras are just perfect for families. The central beach of this resort is Flamingo Beach - with the most developed infrastructure and an abundance of entertainment. Swimming here will be comfortable even for the smallest, because the descent into the sea is gentle, and the water near the shore warms up perfectly. The beach is amazingly clean and the seabed is sandy, so there is no need to purchase special beach shoes, as for pebble beaches.

For many who have been here, Flamingo Beach resembles the coast in Jurmala, but it is even more beautiful here. Picturesque green slopes overgrown with grass descend to the water itself, and here you can hide from the sun not only under umbrellas, but also in the shade of trees. Umbrellas and deck chairs and parasols can be rented here. The beach has showers, toilets, changing rooms. This beach is especially recommended for families, and is very popular not only among tourists, but also among local residents.

Larnaca beaches

Faros beach(Pharos Beach) in Larnaca

This wonderful beach with a grayish "mix" of sand and sandstone is protected from the waves by a breakwater that rises almost close to the shore and forms an ideal swimming pool for kids.

The beach is located in the town of Pervolia, in the outskirts of Larnaca, on the picturesque peninsula of Kiti. There is enough space for everyone: even at the peak of the season, the beach is not overcrowded with vacationers.

Keep in mind that there are two beaches with this name in Cyprus. (The second one is in Paphos). The word "pharos" is translated as "lighthouse". Indeed, on the western side of the Kiti peninsula, there is a functioning lighthouse. So you can go to this beach not only for romantic photos, but also to get to know such an important phenomenon for everyone who dreams of the sea as a lighthouse.

Like all others listed in this article, Faros Beach is the owner of the Blue Flag for cleanliness and environmental friendliness. The infrastructure of the beach corresponds: the beach is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, rescue towers, there is a volleyball court, you can rent sports equipment.

Address: Faros Beach, Kiti Peninsula, Larnaca.

MacKenzie beach(Mackenzie Beach) in Larnaca

The main "chip" of Mackenzie Beach is the runway of Larnaca Airport located literally 100 meters from it. It is unlikely that anyone would want to come here every day, but to visit it, in order, as an exotic, once to enjoy the view of planes landing right above you, if you have not seen it yet, it is definitely worth it!

The beach itself is long and beautiful, there is no hustle and bustle here. The entrance to the water is gentle, and the sea is clean. Mackenzie, like most other beaches in Cyprus, is awarded the Blue Flag and is well equipped: sunbeds and umbrellas, showers, toilets, changing cabins and a variety of water attractions.

Limassol beaches

Ladies Mile(Lady's Mile)

Definitely the best beach in Limassol (located west of the city on the Akrotiri peninsula) and the largest beach in all of Cyprus. It's worth the drive from the city center. Pure water, warm sea, showers, toilets, sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, children's water attractions, a lot of cozy cafes and restaurants with affordable prices.

Near the beach there is a British military base, to which the beach owes its romantic name: it was named after a horse named Lady, which belonged to the commander of the base. Limassol salt lake is also located nearby.

Governors Beach (Governors Beach, or Governor's Beach) in Limassol

This incredibly beautiful beach is located 20 km east of Limassol and 40 km southwest of Larnaca. Here you will find an almost alien landscape of miniature black sand beaches, separated from each other by white sandstone cliffs. The only thing that slightly spoils the view here is the buildings of the military base starting almost beyond the territory of the beach.

The beach got its name in honor of the British governor of the island, who spent several hours a day relaxing on this picturesque beach (oh, and my friend had a dustless job!)

Kourion Beach(Kourion Beach)

The picturesque beach of Kourion, about 1 km long, near the village of Episkopi, is the Cypriot "mecca" of all kite and wind surfers. For mere mortals, this is just a well-equipped beach with clear water, framed by picturesque high white cliffs. There are sun loungers and sun umbrellas, changing cabins, toilets, showers. Lifeguards are on duty throughout the bathing season.

Nearby is a luxurious amphitheater and the whole archaeological complex of Kourion, with perfectly preserved mosaics.

Beaches of Polis

Latchi Beachin Polis

Once Latchi was a small fishing village, but today it is a great place for a beach holiday. The beach, perhaps, is not as photogenic as the famous beaches of Protaras and Ayia Napa (because Latchi is a small-pebble beach of a dirty gray color), but Latchi is an ideal place for everyone who is tired of the hustle and bustle and does not find the desired rest in crowded popular resorts. Here you can spend time calmly and alone, be alone with nature (the sea here is the cleanest, magnificent turquoise color!) and your own thoughts.

The beach is well equipped: there are showers, toilets, platforms for easy entry into the water, a path for people with disabilities, rental of sunbeds and umbrellas.

Latchi is located on the picturesque Akamas peninsula, not far from the city of Polis.

The coastline of Latchi stretches for 1.5 km and smoothly (almost imperceptibly!) Turns into Polis beach. The strip of the beach is wide - 30-50 m. The parking lot is separated from the beach by green vegetation. Breakwaters protrude from the coast at 50 m into the sea, thanks to which there are no strong waves and undercurrents. In addition, you can sunbathe on the breakwaters, enjoying complete privacy.

The descent into the water is smooth - this is a big plus if you are relaxing with children. The depth starts at a distance of about 7 m from the shore. The water here is always well warmed up, especially during the season.

Paphos beaches

CoralBay(Coral Bay Beach) in Paphos

The crystal blue Coral Bay in Paphos is not strictly located in the city itself, but thanks to a well-organized bus service and a large parking lot, it is convenient to get here.

The best beach around Paphos.

By the way, the yellow sand, thanks to which Coral Bay is so popular with tourists and locals, is brought here from other beaches in Cyprus. In about 20 years, the sand on the beach is completely renewed (since the sea is gradually washing it away from here).

Petra tou Romiou in Paphos

This bay in the suburbs of Paphos is one of the most beautiful and famous places in Cyprus. It was here, according to legend, that Aphrodite emerged from the foam of the sea, and here since then a picturesque rock has been lying in the water - the “stone of Aphrodite”.

The beach here is pebbly, but thanks to this, the water is azure blue and very clean. The sea is not safe here, so jumping from the rocks is not recommended, but swimming three times around the "stone of Aphrodite" is recommended for everyone: women - for eternal beauty and youth, men - for inexhaustible strength, and lovers - for eternal love.

Lara beach (Lara beach)

Lara is the most "turtle" beach in Cyprus. This rocky beach is located north of Paphos, in an area that can only be reached by a 4WD SUV. It’s probably not worth going here just for the sake of swimming, but wildlife lovers can find a lot of interesting things here in the corresponding season: this truly reserved corner of the Mediterranean is full of turtle nests, and rare white-bellied seals hide from prying eyes in its coastal caves.

Cyprus is a real "mecca" for tourists who want to relax on the shores of the azure sea, for little money, in comfort and with wonderful service.

The island is washed by the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, warm and amazingly blue.

White and clean coastal sand, evergreen forests, untouched nature and always smiling islanders will not leave you indifferent.

Protaras beach

The golden sand of Protaras, Ayia Napa and the sandy ridges of Larnaca and Limassol, the eucalyptus groves of Dassudi Bay will leave you with warm memories and an irresistible desire to spend your next vacation only in Cyprus.

All Cypriot beaches are the property of municipalities, access to the coastal zone is open to everyone.

Cyprus beaches on the map

Diving clubs, surfing and kite surfing centers, rental of beach attributes - from sunbeds and umbrellas to boats and yachts, which make up an unforgettable aesthetic pleasure from a trip to Cyprus.

The beaches of Cyprus are completely different and when traveling, you need to know where you would like to relax most of all, and what exactly is important for you. Read the reviews of tourists and descriptions to make a preliminary impression and choose a place to your liking.

The town of Ayia Napa is one of the most beloved on the Cypriot coast. The resort regularly beats its own records of attendance by its tourists.

White sand, blue-emerald sea, bustling nightlife and 340 sunny days a year make the city attractive throughout the year.

If you like noisy fun, and at the same time you are a genius of sociability - relax on the beaches of Nissi. “The famous beach is in the famous city of Ayia Napa,” this is how the Cypriots themselves say about Sandy Bay.

Clean beaches, protection from the winds - this is what characterizes this resort oasis.

Thanks to such natural features, marine activities are popular on Sandy beaches - water skiing, diving, spearfishing.

Located on the shores of Fig Tree Bay, in the center of the resort town of Protaras.

The radiant sea, the dazzling sun and white sand are a paradise for true connoisseurs of a beautiful holiday. No wonder the Cypriots consider this place one of the best beaches in Cyprus.

Well-developed infrastructure, quiet cafes and restaurants on the bay will make your stay comfortable.

Not reaching 20 kilometers to Larnaca, an old lighthouse stands on a cliff. Beneath it lies the wild beach of Pharos.

Peace and tranquility will be your companions on this marvelous beach under the old lighthouse.

The peculiarities of the beaches of Larnaca are golden-gray sand with small pebbles and a very gentle descent of the seabed.

Small children and tourists who cannot swim can safely swim here.

The central beach of Larnaca, where the largest number of Cypriots and guests of the resort town rest, is Finikoudes Beach.

The infrastructure of the city is developing rapidly: new hotels are being built, roads are being laid, entertainment centers are opening.

Finikoudes Beach has been awarded the Blue Flag certificate and does a lot to justify this very honorable award.

All the beaches of Larnaca are good, but only one of them is considered by the inhabitants of Larnaca as “their own”.

In their opinion, Mackenzie Beach is the largest and cleanest beach in their small town.

A wide coastline, a small amount of algae, cleanliness, constantly maintained by beach employees, are the hallmarks of this lovely place.

But Kato Paphos, if famous, is not at all white sand. Beaches are sometimes covered with them, but mostly the coast here is pebbly and even rocky.

But here is a paradise for divers.

Paphos is unimaginable without Petra tou Romiou Beach or Aphrodite Beach. It was from the foamy waves of the Mediterranean Sea near Paphos that the goddess of Love Aphrodite came ashore.

It is difficult to imagine another place suitable for the birth of the goddess of Love.

You will be united with the legend by participating in a swim around the Stone of Aphrodite. They say that whoever swims it three times, God will grant youth and beauty.

In the center of the resort of Limassol is Dassudi Bay beach. This is the longest beach in Cyprus

Along the entire coastline stretches the famous eucalyptus grove, very favorable for family holidays.

Coastal bars will give you the pleasure of seafood cuisine and cool drinks.

Governor's Beach or Governor's beaches

Governor's Beach or governor's beaches are places quite remote from the central resorts with characteristic white rocks.

These beaches attract divers and snorkelers from all over the world.

Connoisseurs of spearfishing will enjoy the pleasure of hunting in crystal clear waters in the most beautiful flora and fauna.

Small cozy taverns and bars on the seashore will add flavor to your stay here.

Cozy family campsites and small hotels will delight you with comfort and service.

Coral Bay or CoralBay

Coral Bay or CoralBay is a beach for a romantic or family vacation.

The most beautiful nature, clean sand and shallow sea near the coast make this place such.

Small local taverns, cafes and restaurants on the coast will introduce you to the peculiarities of national, European and Asian cuisine. Unusually tasty and specific seafood dishes.

Solitude and peace can be obtained by tourists relaxing on Konnos Bay beach.

Despite the fact that the beach is only 2 kilometers from Capo Greco, lovers of being alone with nature will get maximum pleasure here.

The opportunity to get away from the bustle of large resort towns attracts the Cypriots themselves to this beach.

Ayia Thekla beach got its name from the name of the temple of St. Thekla, located next to the shore.

The municipality of the village of Sotira, which manages this beach, does its best to ensure that vacationers are satisfied with the quality of the services provided.

That is why the beach has been awarded the EU Blue Flag certificate. Not far from the coast there is a small island of washed sand.

It serves as a natural breakwater, protecting the beach from waves.

Kayaks and canoes rented by the shore service will delight fans of secluded boat trips.

Pissouri beach

Pissouri Beach is another quiet beach with ample opportunities for water sports. The real Cypriot atmosphere is preserved here, which was present on all other beaches even before the influx of tourists.

Curium beach

And the most popular place for sailing enthusiasts is Curium Beach. There is always a light breeze here, but sometimes the sea is angry.

This place is also known for the ruins of an ancient amphitheater, which are located on the edge of a cliff near the coastal zone.

Lara Beach is located on the shores of the bay of the same name.

You can only get there by SUV, but you will have the opportunity to see for yourself the habitat of rare green-shelled turtles.

Half an hour drive from Limassol is the picturesque beach of Latchi.

The beautiful sandy beach of Lady's Mile is a 15-minute drive from Limassol.

Slightly cloudy water in the sea near this coast can be explained by construction work in the port of the town. But despite this, there are many vacationing families with small children - the sea in this place is very shallow with a flat coastline.

The best of the best resort towns of Cyprus Protaras, Ayia Napa and Limassol since 1986 prove compliance with the Blue Flag of the European Union.

The criteria for this compliance are quite strict: the purity of the water and the beach, safety, environmental work.

For tourists who travel with families in each of the largest resort cities: Limassol, Ayia Napa and Paphos, water parks and dolphinariums work and delight not only children and their parents, but also grandparents.

Quiet cafes and DJ bars on the coast, fashionable restaurants with special national and classic cuisine - for every taste and on all the beaches of Cyprus.

Car rental in Cyprus

What do you need to know a tourist going to the resorts of Cyprus?

Nissi beach, Ayia Napa

Forewarned is forearmed, says folk wisdom.

  • Your skin is at risk of sunburn. Stock up on tanning products: for the face - cream, for the body - milk. Be attentive to the number on the bottle or tube: from 2 to 20 - these are the degrees of protection against sunburn. If you managed to tan, take the bottle with the number 2.
  • At the end of summer, the Mediterranean Sea is dangerous with jellyfish. Some of them can "burn" your skin. Any anti-burn pharmacy drug will help in this case. From improvised means of protection - baking soda and ammonia.
  • At any time of the year, you should be wary of sea urchins. who love solitude on sea rocks or rocks. If you are pricked with a sea urchin needle, wipe the place with a thorn with olive oil and pull it out with an alcoholized needle.

Each of the 90 beaches of Cyprus is able to enchant you with the purity of the water, the beauty of the surrounding nature and the service.

The best beaches in Cyprus are sandy strips at resorts, natural and with imported sand; well-maintained areas near the hotels - where there is all the infrastructure for families with children; rocky - in small bays framed by weathered white rocks; wild - in national parks that have retained their original appearance.

Sandy beaches of Cyprus
