Staying in Tamo-guna will bring callousness, coldness, rudeness, insecurity, anxiety, panic, and sluggish digestion to Vata dosha. Similarly, Sattva, Rajas and Tamas will influence Pitta and Kapha doshas, ​​contributing to the manifestation of their qualities, leading to goodness, passion or ignorance, respectively, both at the level of the Mind and reflected in physiology. At the same time, the gunas of Rajas and Tamas are considered doshas of the mind (since "Dosha" - 'that which harms' - can cause imbalances, and Rajas and Tamas lead to them), and Sattva-guna means the balance of the mind ("Suddha Sattva" - 'pure mind') and therefore is not a Dosha, implying a state of balance and clarity, without flaws and defilements. Therefore, in the presence of imbalances of Vata, Pitta and Kapha, or in case of their undesirable manifestations, it is also advisable to strive to increase the level of consciousness, clearing it of the harmful influence of Rajas and Tamas, striving for the Sattvic state, where only the best properties of Tridosha will manifest, contributing to physical and spiritual health.

The attainment of pure Sattva can be achieved through Sattvavajaya - the control of the mind. The first steps on the way to a blissful and virtuous consciousness will be:

On the physical level: proper nutrition, excluding products obtained through violence. For example, food from the flesh of animals contains all the feelings of fear, pain, horror and despair that they experienced at the time of their killing, and fills our body and mind with the energy of death.

At the active level: the correct daily routine, sincere motivation, dedication of one's activities for the benefit of all living beings and non-attachment to the result.

And just as Buddhism introduces antidotes to the main “poisons of the mind” - desires, anger and ignorance, to cleanse obscurations, Ayurveda uses “three medicines” for contamination by Rajas and Tamas: discrimination - the ability to distinguish bad from good, useful from harmful ; patience - a calm, equal and tolerant attitude towards the environment, stamina and willpower; and knowledge of one's own essence - a clear understanding of the answers to the questions: "Who am I, why am I created, why do I live and why do I die?", the desire to look inside oneself, the cessation of identifying oneself only with one's body and the realization of one's unity with the Creator.

Pitta's fireworks flare up easily under the influence of hot weather, spicy foods, and all kinds of stimulants. But then she can go without a sweater on cool days and eat ice cream at any time of the year.

When energy seeths in her, Pitta feels invulnerable. However, everything has its limits. It’s good if Pitta is guided in life by the motto “everything is good in moderation” and reminds himself: “Calm down, otherwise you will burn out.”

At its most extreme, Pitta is a classic A-type personality. She turns into an angry argumentative, intolerant and obsessive, and falls prey to the typical diseases of this dosha: ulcers, hypertension and heart disease.

At the same time, the acidity of gastric juice increases in her; the breath also becomes "sour". The pretty pink skin is covered with a rash or rosacea. Well, let's see what to do in practice for those who have the leading dosha - pitta. By analogy with Vata, I propose to divide the dosha into two of its constituent elements - fire + water.

Fire - penetrating power, purposefulness, sweeping away obstacles, energy, a leader who knows what he wants , some dominance. The main message of the style is personas - a person who "achieves / achieves everything", drama or classics with the addition of drama. The images are quite tough, you can see the power in the message. moreover, it can be the strength of the ruler, and the strength of the rebel.

Water . The element of water is usually associated with emotions. As you remember, Kapha also has the element of water. I see the difference in the manifestation of the water element in pitta and kapha just like the difference between emotions and feelings. The concepts are close, but not identical. Feelings are deep water, slow flow, change slowly. Emotions are the surface of the water, changing quite quickly, the flow is fast. And about that how to manifest dosha and how to reduce

1) Colors and their combinations

Let me remind you about the difference between the color-type concepts of heat-cold and heat-cold of the color wheel, this will come in handy - following any color recommendations is possible within the native palette -

Pitta fiery - bright warm colors (red, purple, gold) are often combined with black for European culture (one of the associations of black is status, the other is protest. Both are suitable for fire =)). They are usually combined with a contrast of two, for a clearer and louder statement.

Pitta dosha increases: spicy foods, urination-stimulating substances (coffee, tea and alcohol), excess heat, sun rays. Emotions that lead to illness: hatred, jealousy, repressed anger.

Summer is pita season. During this period, she most often goes out of balance.

If the Pitta dosha is overexcited, a person may develop skin diseases (acne, hives, rashes), blood diseases, heartburn and a constant burning sensation, nausea and vomiting, gastritis and ulcers, digestive disorders, inflammation, thirst, sweating and bad smell, headaches, liver and gallbladder problems.

Psychologically, a dosha that is out of control provokes self-criticism, cynicism, aggressive and harsh statements, anxiety, sometimes resentment, self-isolation or violent polemics. Such a person is pissed off by every inappropriately spoken word and even an inappropriate look.

Diseases most commonly occur in the blood, eyes, skin, small intestine, sweat glands, fat, and stomach.

Pitta is primarily hot in character, so its treatment is mainly through antipyretic and cooling therapies.

The next qualities of this Dosha are lightness and mobility, so Ayurveda also balances it with soothing, drying and nourishing elements.

Taste of remedies: sweet, bitter and astringent, as they all have a cooling effect. In this case, the bitter taste has the most pronounced effect.

It should be noted that the improvement of Pita dosha is always directly related to the treatment of rakta (blood) - the tissue associated with this Dosha, and the vast majority of pathological conditions characterized by fever and body heat or high acidity are also directly related to it.

Laxative herbs are a powerful therapeutic agent for reducing Pitta, since it is the cleansing of the intestines that helps to bring it into balance. Also used are strengthening herbs (for boils, infections and ulcers), astringents (sweating, diarrhea, inflamed mucous membranes), acute (accumulation of toxins, indigestion), cooling (constipation) and bitter (with insufficient agni).

Pearls are a healing stone for Pita

In addition, Ayurveda prescribes the wearing of healing stones for Pita - pearls, sapphire, emerald, turquoise, as well as metals - platinum and copper. With an excess of Pita, it is not recommended to wear fire metals and precious stones.

Fasting for this Dosha is contraindicated! Especially for more than a week.

Instead, you can arrange fasting days on raw vegetables and fruits.

Pitta should not skip a single meal, the main one being lunch. Before going to bed, it is advisable to drink a glass of hot milk with turmeric or cinnamon. It is very important to consume a sufficient amount of liquid every day, not to allow stress to be “jammed” with food, and to be distracted by extraneous conversations while eating.

Regularity in eating is important. If lunch, dinner or breakfast is excluded, Pitta begins to show aggression and irritability. As soon as their hunger escalates, the Pitts need to urgently have a bite to eat. People with this dosha are very bad at fasting, especially if it stretches for a long period. In a pinch, Pitts can fast for no more than three days.

Fasting days, when it is necessary to take only light food in small quantities, Pitta withstand much calmer. Of all the doshas, ​​only Pitta tolerates a raw food diet well. Taking advantage of this, it will be useful to arrange fasting days for yourself by eating fruits, vegetables, and various juices.

Practice yoga regularly, ideally twice a day. Pay special attention to asanas that massage the gastrointestinal tract (tilts, twists), and postures aimed at overcoming mental fatigue. Meditation before bed is very helpful.

From 10 am to 2 pm, as well as from 10 pm to 2 am, Pitta time comes, so conflict situations should be avoided during these intervals. After 6 pm, it is necessary to reduce the overall level of activity.

Inhale the aromas of cinnamon, vanilla, calamus, sandalwood, narcissus, lotus, peppermint, nutmeg, jasmine, violet, rose, and bitter orange to balance the Doshas.
