Do-it-yourself finger theater made of felt. Patterns, templates, master classes

It just so happened today - children spend most of their time at the monitor.

Parents are sometimes touched by watching how skillfully a two-year-old kid handles a keyboard, or a ten-year-old son quietly sits at home, not getting lost anywhere. Over time, the computer replaces books, sports, and even communication in the family. It's time to sound the alarm: even the most advanced designers and robot dolls cannot compete with the Internet.

Own puppet theater - a godsend for the family

In search of an alternative to a harmful hobby, adults often forget about such a magical art as puppet theater. After all, young children and even older children are not at all indifferent to performances with dolls. They love simple and clear performances with a funny plot, with long-familiar characters and with a happy ending.

Take your kids to puppet theaters more often? This is also good. But we are talking about the behavior of the child at home. After all, it is not at all difficult to make dolls with your family at no cost, in a cozy, friendly home environment. And even organize interesting performances. Here, the children themselves will have to persuade their parents to play their favorite game.

Finger theater and child development

A child from the age of two can retell a fairy tale or part of a dialogue known to him. He is very involved in the game and at the same time the finger hero of the fairy tale develops his speech. The child itself speaks for a bunny, for a wolf, for a fox. Such dolls can be made from paper with your own hands.

Paper puppet theater

The simplest theater is paper. Every mother can make it with her own hands. It is easy to do this even on the road or on a walk. Creating finger puppets begins with drawing characters. This is a separate interesting process, and it is possible and necessary to involve the child in it. But creating a whole puppet theater is easier and faster by printing out ready-made puppet templates, which are quite a lot on the Internet. And then we need only scissors and glue.

There is a flat finger theater and a round one, and both will not require much preparation. In the first case, these are the heads or the upper half of the pupa, which are put on each finger with a paper tube. You can even not make the doll's head separately, but simply glue bright tubes or even cones together.

Before connecting the edges of the future tube, we create an image. To do this, we glue beaded eyes, sponges, antennae, wings, pens, clothes and other attributes of the character onto the blanks. Ears can be immediately planned on the pattern. Such dolls can be put on all fingers at once and make a real little show, playing with both hands.

Absolutely indispensable on a long journey and in a long line for the entertainment of the baby. And the child will not demand an iPhone from you, but will rather enthusiastically talk with the fingers-heroes or play different scenes: from life, from the same computer game or invented by him.

In the second case, the drawings have two finger holes and are pasted onto cardboard. The fingers inserted into the slots are the legs of the doll, which move and “revive” her. Only one such doll is placed on one hand, sometimes two.

Theater of papers on wooden sticks

A puppet theater can be made no less interesting if, instead of fingers, the heroes of the performance are attached to sticks intended for throat examinations. Ice cream sticks are also great. Fairy-tale characters can be drawn or cut out of old color magazines, and then pasted onto cardboard. The puppets on a stick will move through the cuts in the landscape prepared for the performance. Such a scene is very easy to make from a cardboard sheet.

We color it according to the plot: under a clearing, a river bank or something else. The river itself, for example, can be replaced by a blue scarf thrown into such a clearing. Taking a clerical knife, on the underside of the cardboard we make several small cuts on the left and right and, for example, below the left. The openings for acting out the plot must accommodate two dolls at the same time.

Paper theater on plastic spoons

Plastic spoons can serve as an excellent material for a mini-puppet theater using paper. You can stick bright pictures on their convex "faces", wrap paper strip scarves around their "necks" and even put on paper dresses - the characters are ready for the performance!

Desktop paper theater on plastic cups, corks, cubes

Have you noticed that children sometimes assign just some cubes, corks or plastic glasses to the role of dolls? Such is the power of their imagination! And if you stick applications depicting people or animals on such objects and play a little with your child?

The cubes are interesting in that each face is decorated with a paper portrait of a new hero. It will turn out such a multifaceted toy. With the help of paper, cups, corks and cubes will turn into a real puppet theater, the game itself will become much more colorful and interesting. Most children will play out fairy tales and scenes from life for a long time even without our participation. The "troupe" can be replenished endlessly or easily replaced with new characters.

The table theater helps the development of imagination, expressive, as well as coherent speech of the baby. With a little fantasy, every adult, and following his example, a child, will be able to come up with and make new interesting options for their own paper puppet theater with their own hands. For example, from paper bags or papier-mâché.

In the home theater, unlike the other, where he mainly enjoys the spectacle, the baby can speak out. And here he gets the attention of his parents. And adults should carefully listen to what kind of conversations the dolls are having in the hands of their child.

Today we will show you how to make cool paper finger toys for the little ones. With the help of these animals, your kids will be able to play a fun farm, or even show a small puppet theater. Making them is very easy, as we have already prepared animal templates for you. All you need to do is print them out and assemble them. You can make a pig, a cat, a horse, a mouse and a rabbit for your children.

Everything, that you will need:

  • thick paper
  • scissors
  • toy templates (download)

Doing

First, print out the templates for future toys, carefully cut them out. Look carefully, there are also parts for rings that will be glued into the heads of animals, and then put on the child's finger so that he can control the character's head. These rings also need to be cut.

Now fold the bodies of the animals to form the main ring where the child will insert his finger.

Now it's time for the little rings to be glued into the heads of the animals.

That's it, the toys are ready! You can start playing with the kids.

Colored paper is a versatile material. She can easily turn into a kitten, dog, hero of your favorite cartoon or fairy tale. A little imagination and effort - and now you already have the scenery ready. What you need for a fun dialogue of little animals.

So, we choose the right colors, prepare glue, paints, felt-tip pens, pencils and go ahead - make wonderful finger puppets.

1. Print and cut out patterns for finger toys.

2. Glue the faces of the little animals.

3. Now glue the torsos. From a strip of white paper, make a finger holder in the shape of a ring and glue it to the inside of the toy's head.

Kids, as a rule, are delighted not only with the process of creating figures, but also with participation in the performance itself. So, if the younger brother or sister wants to try himself in the role of, for example, a bunny, I hope you will not mind.

Well, the dolls are ready! The theater performance begins!

But if you want to make fairy-tale characters (king, princess, knight, dragon or pirate robbers), print out the following templates:

Puppet theater for the little ones:

And here are a few more finger puppet templates for pleasant leisure time with the baby:

Finger toys are easy and fun to make. Note that dolls made from several materials at once - paper, fabric, beads - look very cute and touching. Think about it when creating the next character for the game.

Shadow theater is ready! Turn off the lights, invite the audience and put on a shadow show.

Theater of hand shadows

Hand shadow theater is one of the simplest types of shadow art. For his equipment, you will need the most common items - a table lamp and a screen - a large sheet of white paper or cloth. If the room has light walls, a theatrical performance of light and shadow can be shown directly on the wall.

The drawings show how with the help of hands you can create silhouettes of animals, birds, people. With practice, you can bring the shadows to life and tell your own story.

  • You can start introducing children to the shadow theater from 1.5-2 years old. The first classes should take place as a theatrical performance, when the roles are played by an adult, and the children act as spectators. After the child understands the rules and traditions of theatrical art, he can be included in the game as a participant in the action. Children play and voice roles, learn texts and poems. At first, trust small uncomplicated roles. Then gradually make it harder.
  • Cardboard figures of shadow theater actors should be black, then they will be contrasting and noticeable on the screen. For self-production of figures, use curly stencils. If you plan to reuse homemade figurines, we recommend that you laminate them.
  • In order for the shadows to be clear, set the light source behind, slightly to the side of the screen. The light source will be an ordinary table lamp or a flashlight.
  • The size of the shadow on the screen depends on the distance from the figurine to the lamp. If you bring the figure closer to the screen, then its shadow will become small and clear. If placed further away, the shadow will increase in size, and the contours will be blurry.
  • To ensure that the scenery does not move during the performance, fasten them to the screen itself with adhesive tape or paper clips.
  • Whatman paper, tracing paper or a white sheet is perfect as a screen. The smaller the screen you use, the thinner and more transparent it needs to be, and the brighter the light source you need.
  • In order to create a theatrical atmosphere, you can draw a poster, tickets, and even arrange an intermission.
