Therefore, I went to the Theater "Commonwealth of Taganka Actors" for the play "Clinical Case" at the invitation of the Theater Agency "Art Partner XXI" as a light sitcom, not expecting any deep meaning or philosophical overtones. And, as they say, my premonitions did not deceive me. The play of the same name by Ray Cooney is a sweet comedy in 2 acts, completely tearing us away from reality and immersing us in a hodgepodge of pre-holiday events in a large clinic.

As always before Christmas in the central clinic in London vanity and confusion reign. And, indeed, there is a lot of work to do: the annual reporting conference of doctors is about to begin, the rehearsal of the Christmas holiday is in full swing, gifts are being distributed to the clinic staff, patients are urgently preparing for discharge ...

But the most responsible is entrusted to neurologist David Mortimer and therapist Hubert Bonney. The first one is to open an international conference of doctors, the second one is to play the main role in the Christmas theatrical performance.

David and Hubert are friends with twenty years of experience, there is no envy or resentment between them. And even if one of them is the head physician, happily married to the daughter of the chairman of the Clinic’s Academic Council, and the other is an ordinary therapist and an avid bachelor, they are just as devoted and faithful to each other as they were during their turbulent youth, spent in companies with pretty nurses and nurses.

The actors themselves seem to enjoy playing the masquerade. They are so passionate and beautiful in the images of their heroes that the audience feel it and become infected with unrestrained fun, pouring generous streams from the stage into the hall.

Of course, our whole company liked it, everyone was pleased with the wonderful evening and noted their favorite hero in this performance. I, probably, will not be original, I absolutely liked everything, the narrow-minded policeman and the bohemian wife of the protagonist David Mortimer, played by Igor Livanov, were very amused.

Here the main character, perhaps, was the very fulcrum around which all this reckless fun revolved and who ruled the hall like a conductor. Once we laughed, once we fell silent and thought that fate could dispose of this at any moment with everyone. So in this comedy - a masquerade, not only to laugh, but also to think. However, this is optional. Who prefers to relax and just relax - the most suitable performance.
