The final stage of the III All-Russian Competition for Young Performers “Russian Ballet” will take place on April 28 at the New Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre. The founders are the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Foundation for Social and Cultural Initiatives, headed by Svetlana Medvedeva, who also headed the organizing committee of the competition.
In her greetings addressed to the participants and guests of the competition, Svetlana Medvedeva expressed her confidence that “the competitive debut will be an important stage for the finalists in their professional development, and the winner will have the opportunity to start his career in one of the best theaters in Russia.”
On behalf of another founder of the competition - the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the head of department Vladimir Medinsky wished "the young artists successful performances, and the audience - bright emotions and unforgettable impressions."

29 applicants
According to the regulations, the Russian Ballet competition is held every two years. This review is the third in a row. To participate in the creative competition, students of graduate and pre-graduation courses of institutions of secondary and higher professional education that implement educational programs in the field of ballet art are selected.
This year, 29 contenders representing 13 educational institutions will compete for victory. Among them are the Academy of Russian Ballet named after A. Ya. Vaganova and the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, choreographic colleges in Perm, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, choreographic schools in Voronezh, Krasnodar and Kazan, as well as the choreographic school at the Moscow State Academic Dance Theater "Gzhel" and Moscow choreographic school. The finalists will have to perform one number of the classical ballet repertoire. Competitors will be evaluated by an authoritative jury, which includes outstanding figures of ballet art. Among them are world famous dance masters Mikhail Lavrovsky, Vyacheslav Gordeev, Marina Leonova, Nikolai Tsiskaridze, Boris Eifman and others. “We continue the All-Russian Competition for Young Performers “Russian Ballet,” Grigorovich said. “Our goals remain unchanged this time – to take a closer look at the pupils of Russian ballet schools at an early stage of their formation.”
“A little more, and we will stop calling our contestants children, adult requirements await them. Let the competition help them step into a new life. We will empathize, help and rejoice at them,” the master concluded.
The panel of judges headed by Grigorovich will determine the winner of the Grand Prix and the laureates of the first, second and third degrees (for girls and boys). Special diplomas will also be awarded - "For the pedagogical training of the contestant" and "For partnership". With the unanimous decision of the jury members, the winner of the Grand Prix of the competition is given the opportunity of an internship in the ballet troupe of one of the leading theaters in Moscow and St. Petersburg on the terms of a fixed-term employment contract.

Winners
The winners were determined individually according to a ten-point system. According to the decision of the judges, the third place was taken by Anna Grigoryeva from the Perm State Choreographic College and Maruku Chino from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography. Second place was shared by Arseniy Lazarev from the Novosibirsk State Choreographic School and Camilla Mazzi from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography.
The jury awarded the first place to Eleonora Sevenardze and Yegor Gerashchenko from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. Denis Zakharov, a graduate of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, also won the Grand Prix.
Educational institutions that brought up the best participants of the competition were also awarded. Thus, for the preparation of laureates of the third degree, a cash certificate in the amount of 50 thousand rubles will be awarded; 75 thousand rubles will be paid for the laureate of the second degree, 100 thousand rubles for the laureates of the first degree. The highest certificate worth 150,000 rubles will be given to the educational institution that has trained the winner of the Grand Prix.
