Festival of Friendship and Kindness

Mori urildaan

The sports program of the All-Buryat festival "Altargana-2016" opened with the competition of the best horses of the Buryat breed and riding horses from the regions of Buryatia, Ust-Orda and Aga - "Mori Urildaan". From ten o'clock in the morning on the first of July, races began at the hippodrome of the Ivolginsky datsan.

Horse racing is one of the most spectacular competitions at any holiday. The races at the hippodrome of the Ivolginsky datsan were held for the fifth time and for the first time gathered a record number of participants - 89. The largest number of participants in equestrian competitions was represented by the southern regions of Buryatia - Dzhidinsky and Selenginsky - nine and eight people, respectively, the honor of the capital of the republic was defended by nine horsemen. Of the guests of the republic, the Aginsky Buryat district brought the largest number of participants - ten. The Irkutsk region was represented only by the Nukutsk district of the Ust-Orda Buryat district - six participants. There were eight races at various distances. Let's note right away that our horsemen excelled at four of the eight distances, and at two distances they came to the finish line second.
The competition program at the hippodrome was opened by the race of four-year-old Buryat breeds at a distance of 18 kilometers, in which twelve horses ran. The victory on the bay stallion Altan Shagay was won by Bayarto Norbosambuev from the rural settlement of Khara-Shibir, Mogoytuy district, the owner of the horse is his father Erdeni Norbosambuev. Bayarto competed with Heshegte Dorzhiev from the Dzhidinsky district, who took second place on the red stallion Nukher. "Bronze" went to Vladimir Premglaev from the Zakamensky district of Buryatia on a bay gelding named Apatia. Following the four-year-olds, the race of eight horses of the three-year-old Buryat breed immediately started at a distance of 15 kilometers. The third place in an interesting fight went to Bair Ulzutuev from Kyakhta on a bay stallion (owner Gomboev Bair). In second place - our Alexei Kryshkov on a bay stallion Malysh (owner of the AK "Sagan-Uula", Mogoytuysky district). The winner was Heshegte Dorzhiev from Dzhida, who on the bay stallion Sambo (owner Petr Malakshinov) took revenge on the Aginsk people for the second place in the previous race. The third race - Buryat two-year-olds for 12 kilometers. Seven horses started here. The third place was taken by Zakamensky jockey Vladimir Premglaev on a red stallion Chapa (owner Viktor Tsydypov). The second was Amgalan Dashadylykov on a nightingal stallion Malysh (owner Dorzho Dashadylykov) from Kizhinga. The winner of the race - Ayur Rabzhaev from Ulan-Ude on a bay stallion Nukher (owner Buda Lama). In the fourth three-kilometer race, thirteen horses of three-year-old half-blood breeds took the start. The third place was taken by the representative of Ulan-Ude Ruslan Shuppe on a dark bay stallion named Black (owner Fedor Shantagarov). "Silver" - from the Aginsky jockey Alexei Kryshkov on the bay stallion Struna (owner of Argal LLC, the rural settlement of Chelutai, Aginsky district). Another representative of the Aginsky Buryat district, Sodnom Biliktuev, on a bay stallion named Embargo (owner of the SPK Pobeda, Mogoytuysky district), became the winner at this high-speed distance.
In the fifth run, horses of trotting breeds over four years old ran - "Lynx under the saddle". The third place in this beautiful race was taken by the only female participant - Iya Radnaeva from the Yeravninsky district on the bay stallion Putnik (owner Munko Shirapov). Farhat Umurzakov from the Bichursky district of Buryatia came second to the finish line on a gray stallion (owner Turkinbek Ermatov). The winner of the race is Vladimir Shurygin from Ulan-Ude on a dark bay Corsican (owner V. Shatbagarov). It should be noted that our horse, well-known to the Aginsk people, sixteen-year-old Duyanba, was running at this distance, on which was not the owner Arsalan Ayushiev himself, but the coach Ochir Pagmaev from Aga-Khangil.
In the sixth race, twelve older half-breed horses participated in a distance of six kilometers. Vasily Kryukov from the Dzhidinsky district was third on a black gelding named Khara (owner Vladislav Dorzhiev). "Silver" went to the representative of Eravna Ayur Arabzhiev riding a red stallion Epicurus (owner Munko Shirapov). And another one of our compatriots won at this distance - a fifty-two-year-old jockey Daba Osorov from Khara-Shibiri on a red stallion named Montauber (owner of Batonim Balzhurov). In the penultimate three-kilometer race, seven horses of older riding breeds started. In this fastest race, third place went to Mergen Tsydenzhapov, Eravna's representative on the bay stallion Zhirkov (owner Munko Shirapov). The second was Ruslan Shuppe from Ulan-Ude on a bay stallion named Capital Investment (owner Fedor Shantagarov). Our compatriot Zorigto Zandabazarov on a red stallion Kars (owner of Argal LLC, Chelutay JV, Aginsky district) became the winner at the distance.

And, finally, in the most long-awaited, authoritative and important race - the race of older horses of the Buryat breed at a distance of twenty-one kilometers, the largest number of horses took part - seventeen. From the first minutes of the start, he immediately took the lead, and then the first to come to the finish line was the representative of the Nukut district of the Ust-Orda Buryat district Valery Petukhov on the bay gelding Zaa Heer (owner Petr Malakshinov). The winner of this race became the absolute winner of all Altargana equestrian competitions. The prize fund of the race was 200 thousand rubles. The prize was presented by XXIV Pandido Khambo Lama Damba Ayusheev. Two of our horses, Zorigto Khaltar from Sagaan-Uula and Tolon from Khara-Shibiri, ran at this longest distance, but, unfortunately, they remained below the line of winners. The second place here was won by Erdem Tsydenov from Dzhida on a dark bay gelding Orlik (owner Vitaly Badmaev). The third place in the longest race went to Sokto Chimitov, a representative of the Mukhorshibirsky district of Buryatia, on a sparkling stallion Buyan (owner Tsyrendashi Erdyneev). As part of the equestrian competition, a competition was held for the best solo performance (a laudatory song of the winning horse). Three singers took part in this competition, all from the Aginsky Buryat district, and, accordingly, all three prizes went to them. Let's name them: Gombodugar Bolotov from the village of Zugalay, Ochir Batotsyrenov from Urdo-Aga - Baras Batomunkuev from Tsokto-Khangil. This is how the sports program of the first day of the All-Buryat festival "Altargana-2016" ended.

Two-time winner of "Altargana"

On the second day of the holiday, the turn of the performances of the real heroes of the Buryat people came - the competition in "Bukhe barildaan". Two hundred and fourteen of the strongest wrestlers from different regions of ethnic Buryatia, the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Irkutsk Region, China and Mongolia took part in identifying the strongest.
The largest representation of wrestlers was in the Aginsky Buryat district in all weight categories - forty-seven people. Four people fought from Shenekhen, Mongolia sent thirteen fighters. Three wrestlers arrived from Moscow, six athletes represented the Irkutsk region, one person represented St. Petersburg. Of the districts of Buryatia, the largest number of wrestlers was put forward by Kizhing - eighteen wrestlers, Zakamensk - eleven, Kurumkan - ten people.
82 athletes fought in the weight category up to 63 kg. In the first semi-final, two Kurumkan players Aleksey Radnaev and Agvan Shadapov met. The victory was won by Alexei Radnaev. In the second semi-final, Konstantin Tsyrenov from Ulan-Ude and Amarbat from Mongolia met. Here luck accompanied Konstantin Tsyrenov. In the fight for the third place between Amarbat and Shadapov, Agvan Shadapov won the bronze. In the final match, Alexey Radnaev turned out to be stronger. The entire podium in the weight category up to 63 kg was finally taken by athletes from the Barguzinskaya valley.
In the weight category up to 75 kg, the strongest was identified among fifty wrestlers. Fourteen people from the Aginsky district fought here. Alexei Borovitsky from Ivolgin and Artem Radnaev from Kurumkan met in the first semi-final bout. Radnaev from Kurumkan made it to the final. In the second semi-final, our countryman Alexander Rabdanov, a native of Gunei, and Bato Badmaev from Kyakhta met for reaching the final. Alexander Rabdanov, having made it to the final, defeated Artem Radnaev in the decisive battle for the first place. Ivolginets Alexei Borovitsky became the third.
Fifty-eight people took part in the heavy weight category over 75 kg. As in the lighter weight categories, the Aginsky Buryat district represented the largest number of wrestlers - thirteen people. Guests from Shenehen competed in this category - four wrestlers. The fights of the heavyweights were distinguished by colossal psychological intensity, what can I say, when the world sambo champion Bair Omoktuev dropped out of the fight in the quarterfinals, losing to the future finalist, the Mongolian wrestler Zhargalsaikhan. Sambo did not save the champion from grabbing his leg and throwing him to the ground. The semi-final pairs were formed as follows: in the first semi-final, the representative of Buryatia (Eravninsky district) Tsyrempil Moiseev, having met in a fight with the representative of the Khentei aimag of Mongolia, Darkhanbat, lost to him. In the second semi-final, the Mongolian hero from Sukhe-Bator Zhargalsaikhan won in a sharp duel against our fellow countryman Bator Tsyrenzhapov. Bator Tsyrenzhapov from Aginsk turned out to be stronger in the fight for the third place with the representative of Yeravna Tsyrempil Moiseev. The final in the heavy weight category turned out to be purely Mongolian. In tactical wrestling, Darkhanbat became the best in heavy weight.
After the award ceremony in weight categories, all spectators and fans were looking forward to the main action - the determination of the absolute winner. Sixteen wrestlers from all three weight categories competed in the draw for the absolute winner of Altargana-2016. Pairs were determined randomly. Of all the bouts, I would like to note the winner of the weight category up to 75 kg, our fellow countryman Alexander Rabdanov, who in the semifinals fell on the representative of Mongolia Bayarmandakh. Despite the huge difference in weight, Alexander showed a beautiful spectacular fight, and lost, holding the reception. Tsybik Maksarov from Aginsk and Rinchin Sanzheev from Zakamna met in the second semi-final. The experience of our highly experienced wrestler did not allow the Zakamensky wrestler to claim the title of absolute winner.
And in the final of the absolute championship, two heavyweights met, who, in their weights, could not reach the semi-finals. The Mongolian wrestler Bayarmandakh and Tsybik Maksarov circled for a long time, waiting for the opponent's mistake, but at the end, when the time of the fight was already coming to an end, Tsybik, deciding to pass to the opponent's legs, grabbed his leg and knocked the opponent over to the green field of the stadium. Thus, the main eagle dance at Altargan-2016 was performed by our countryman, Urdo-Aginets Tsybik Maksarov, who won the main prize of 200 thousand rubles.

Ayusha Dugarov - champion

Long before the opening of the festival, the sound of arrows began to be heard at the Central Stadium of the city of Ulan-Ude. A large number of participants came to the shooting - more than two hundred and sixty athletes defending the honor of twenty-eight teams. The Trans-Baikal Territory was represented by six teams at once, the Irkutsk Region fielded one team, Ulan-Ude - four, Mongolia was represented by the Khentei aimag. The teams from the districts of the republic and the capital of Buryatia included such athletes as the former member of the country's Olympic team Balzhinima Tsyrempilov and the champion of Buryatia Victoria Budaeva, who eventually won the women's event. Former member of the Russian Olympic team Balzhinima Tsyrempilov took second place in the national shooting tournament, losing the palm to Mergen Tsyrempilov, a shooter from the Dzhida region. In women, as we have already noted, Victoria Budaeva from the Sovetsky district of Ulan-Ude became the first, Soelma Tsyrendorzhieva from the Duldurgin district took the second place, Namzhilma Dagbaeva from the Mogoytuy district became the third winner of the tournament. Among men, Mergen Tsyrempilov from Dzhida excelled, Balzhinima Tsyrempilov from Ulan-Ude took the second place, and Dashirabdan Tsyrenov from the Mogoytuysky district took the third prize. In the team standings, the first place was taken by the team of the city of Ulan-Ude, which also included our fellow countrymen, natives of the village of Zugalay, Mogoytuysky district - Tsyrendorzhi Magakov and Batozhargal Batoev. In second place is the team of archers from the Mogoytuy region, and in third place is the team from the Aginsky region.
32 participants entered the fight for the absolute championship of the archery tournament according to national rules, of which four archers entered the final shootout, three of which are our fellow countrymen - Dugar Garmazhapov from Aga-Khangil, Ayusha Dugarov from Zutkuley, Daba Osorov, lama of the Chita datsan . And the fourth participant in the final is Victoria Budaeva from Ulan-Ude, who, by the way, is the granddaughter of Tsyrendorzhi Magakov from Zugalai, whom we already wrote about above. As a result of a tense shootout, when the nerves were at the limit, the absolute winner, having coped with the final excitement, was the representative of the Aginsky Buryat district, Ayusha Dugarov from Zutkule. In an interview with journalists immediately after the presentation of the well-deserved award - the main prize of Altargana-2016 - Ayusha Dugarov said that he had participated in many competitions, but this was his first big victory, which he was very happy about, thanked his fellow countrymen for their support.

Traditional sports

On the second day of the holiday, competitions in traditional Buryat sports were held at the Central Stadium of Ulan-Ude: the game of breaking the spinal bone “heer shaalgan”, the Buryat dice game “step naadan” and the Buryat chess “shatar”.
120 people, gathered in twenty-four teams, took part in the "step naadan" dice competition. The most representative team, as in many other sports, was the team of the Aginsky Buryat District, which presented four teams, which eventually shared the prizes in the team standings. The first place was taken by the team of the Mogoytuysky district, the second place was taken by the Duldurgins, the third place was taken by the team of the village of Aginskoye. Participants competed in three types of traditional game "Mori urildaan", "Nyakhalalga", "Shuurelge". In the individual championship, the places were distributed as follows: in “Mori urildaan” Bair Gomboev from the Kurumkansky district of Buryatia excelled, Dulmazhab Zhimbuyeva from the village of Aginskoye took the second place, and Namzhilma Sanzhayeva from the Mogoytuysky district took the third place. In the nomination "Nyahalalga" the most accurate was the representative of the Mogoytuysky district Dashinima Sodnomov, the second place - Nimatsyren Dandarov from the Ivolginsky district of Buryatia, and the third place - Elena Tsyrenova from the Duldurginsky district. Erdem Namsaraev from Ulan-Ude excelled in "Sh\\relge", in second place - another representative of the Ulan-Ude team Garmazhap Tsyrenzhapov. The third place in this kind of walk naadan - "Shuurelge" - was taken by Marina Damdinova from Duldurginsky district.
Very spectacular, as always, was the bone-breaking competition “heer shaalgan“. They were attended by twenty-nine teams, a total of one hundred and twenty people. Zakamensky district of Buryatia presented seven teams, Ivolginsky district - three teams,Aginsky Buryat District was represented by five teams. As a result, the team from the village of Sanaga, Zakamensky district, won the first team place, the second was the team No. 2 from Aginsky Buryat district. The third place was won by team No. 1 from the Aginsk Buryat district, represented mainly by players from the village of Uzon, Duldurgin district. Bolot Buduev from the village of Aga-Khangil, Mogoytuy district, came second in the individual competition. In fourth place is Bayaskhalan Tsyritorov from the village of Uzon. The sixth place in the individual championship was taken by Timofey Vartanov from the village of Amitkhasha, Aginsky district. The fourth team from our district took fifth place, and our third team became sixth in the team standings.Competitions were held in eighteen circles, each time the bone became more and more, and there were fewer participants. The Nangin Buusa competition revealed the best

"Altargana-2016" brought together the best farmers of Buryatia, the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Irkutsk Region, Mongolia for the new competition "Nangin Buusa", combining in their work both modern and traditional, centuries-old farming methods.
The competition took place at the National Library of the Republic of Buryatia. This is a presentation of the life and way of life of the Buryats, where farmers talked about their life, farming methods using modern technologies throughout the year and shared their experience. According to the rules of the competition, its participants had to imagine how they manage to maintain an ecological balance, achieve stable profits, participate in the social life of the village, and at the same time not forget the faith of their ancestors, the customs of the family and clan. Each farmer, having presented a twenty-minute film about the affairs of his farm to the jury, then made a report. The competition jury noted that the application for participation in the competition must contain documents confirming the economic results of the farm.
The Aginsky Buryat District submitted two farms to the competition - the Tumurov family from Kusocha, which has been engaged in farming since 2000, and the farm of Bato Dashibalov from Chindalei. Shoizhit Anatolyevna, the wife of the head of the farm, Baldan Tumurov, says that work in the countryside is difficult, without days off, day after day, you cannot leave your farm unattended for even an hour. - But this work is rewarding, - she concludes, in their farm the Aginskaya breeding breed of sheep, cattle, and pigs are bred, they have a slaughter shop and a shop for the production of semi-finished meat products. Farmers prepared thoroughly for the Nangin Buusa competition, they were supported by the administration of the district, district, a documentary film-presentation about the life of farmers was shot. The second participant from our district, farmer Bato Dashibalov, also thoroughly prepared for the competition, showed his strong economy, spoke about further development plans. Aginsk participants of the competition noted that they are very glad to meet other farmers and look forward to further cooperation. Such a competition within the framework of Altargana was held for the first time. The versatility of the economy, the use of modern technology, participation in the public affairs of the village, the family and the continuity of generations are the main criteria for the work of farmers in the countryside. The competition commission, which evaluated the work of farmers from different regions, noted the great potential of the farming movement, and the competition held at Altargan should be one of the main ones.
In total, fifteen farmers from Buryatia, the Irkutsk region, the Trans-Baikal Territory and Mongolia took part in the competition. As a result, the competition commission named the names of the three best farmers - the Baldan and Shoyzhit Tumurov family from the Aginsky Buryat district, farmers from the village of Amgalanta, Khorinsky district of Buryatia, Zoya and Bayan Zhambaldorzhiyev, who were among the first to organize a farm in the republic, and now they are passing the reins of management of the farm to their son Sokto. The owners of special prizes (vouchers to the resorts "Arshan" and "Goryachinsk") were Tserenzhav Tserendolgor (Mongolia), Sokto Tsydypov (Kizhinginsky district, Buryatia).
The participants of the competition noted that they saw a lot of interesting materials about the life of farmers from neighboring regions and Mongolia. The best storytellers

In the puppet theater "Ulger" in Ulan-Ude, a competition of uligershins and performers of odic poetry was held.
Ylger, uliger - these are large poems from five to six to 10-20 thousand poetic lines in the genre of the heroic-historical epic among the Buryats and Mongols. They are performed to the accompaniment of a musical instrument - khuura. Narrators are undoubtedly artistically gifted people, possessing a rich and beautiful speech, capable of storing up to several dozen uligers in their memory. From time immemorial, the Buryats have enjoyed respect and honor among the Buryats.
This time, a record number of participants competed in the competition - 39 people. In past years, this specific genre attracted much fewer people who wanted to show themselves.
