Games and entertainment for children for the Autumn Ball

Games and entertainment for organizing autumn activities in elementary school

Tolstikova Tatyana Aleksandrovna, teacher at State Budgetary Educational Institution NJSC "NSHI", Naryan-Mar
Description: I bring to your attention games and competitions for organizing entertainment and game programs for the Autumn Ball and other events on an autumn theme. The material may be in demand by organizers of extracurricular activities, boarding school teachers, and primary school teachers. Games and competitions are intended for primary school children, but can be used for both preschoolers and middle school children.
Target: use in organizing extra-curricular autumn events
Tasks: create a positive mood,
develop fantasy, imagination,
develop agility, reaction speed,
consolidate knowledge about trees, vegetables,
introduce poetic works about autumn.

Dear colleagues, I bring to your attention a small selection of games, competitions and entertainment that can be held when organizing autumn events and discos.

"Mysterious Vegetable"

Before this entertainment, you can hold a competition to recognize vegetables by taste and touch. After this, the presenter says that everyone can guess this way, but he can guess what kind of vegetable the child is holding by turning his back to him. Then he asks one of his colleagues (assistant) to tell him when he can guess.
Any child comes up to the table with vegetables and picks up a vegetable he likes, for example, a radish.
The assistant says, addressing the leader (for example, me):
- Tatyana Alexandrovna, solve it.
Or:
-Tatyana Aleksandrovna, don’t you feel we are ready.
I answer:
-Radish.
If the child picks up a tomato, the assistant can say:
- Tatyana Alexandrovna, please call me.
Or:
-Tatyana Alexandrovna, it’s time to guess.
I can pretend to think and answer:
-Tomato.
And so with all vegetables, and some can be raised twice.
Everyone is perplexed and delighted. Have you guessed what's going on?
Pay attention to the name of the vegetable and the word that the assistant says first after addressing the presenter?
Radishes - guess what?
Tomato - please, it's time.
These words begin with the same letter as the name of the vegetable. This is the whole secret. Naturally, the assistant is a pre-prepared person.
After this, people will ask you how you did it, and not just children. Be silent, let this remain your little secret. Then you will also be able to guess fruits, berries, and animals - whatever your heart desires. But you must definitely take into account that there should be no vegetables whose names begin with the same letter. Potatoes and cabbage should not meet in this game.

"Leaf Fall"

This game can also be played with preschoolers.
To play, children must sit in a circle on chairs, but can simply stand in a circle. Everyone has a leaf of wood in their hands. It is enough to take 4-5 types, for example, leaves of oak, maple, birch, willow. One child without a leaf in his hands stands in the center of the circle. The presenter says: “The maple leaves are falling.” All the guys with maple leaves must quickly change places, and the child in the center of the circle must take someone else's place. The child who did not have time to stand up or sit in the circle gives him his leaf and stands in the center of the circle, the game continues. You can make the game more difficult by changing movements. For example, the leaves should switch places, hopping on one leg, walking on their heels, etc.
This game can be played while walking, you just need to cover the leaves with tape.

"Literary leaves"

The game involves 3-4 teams of 4 people. Each team member has a specific leaf. The presenter stands at a distance and a chair next to him.
The presenter reads lines from poems about autumn trees. As soon as the name of the tree is heard, the children who have a leaf from that tree must take a chair. Who will sit down first?

There is a green forest all around;
Autumn maples are already blushing,
And the spruce forest is green and shady...
(A. Maikov)

Wind in the field at dawn
I met a birch fashionista.
The wind blew on the birch tree -
And ruined her hair!

(A. Kulagina)

After all, until late autumn
It's green.
So the oak is hardy,
It means hardened.
(A.Lisitsa)

Slender trunk, dark bark,
It was green all summer.
Autumn time has come
I wore a purple maple outfit.
(E. Shendrik)

Yellow shower of leaves,
The sun is below the pines.
Willow whispers to willow:
"Autumn. Autumn soon!"
(A. Efimtsev)

The leaves are blown away by the wind -
Bare and dull.
Waiting for winter
Everything around was frozen.
But look: here they stand
Dark oak trees,
And there is noise on their branches
Dark leaves.
(N.Subbotina)

Rainy autumn
The birches were crying.
Dropped by the wind
golden tears.
(T. Tarasova)

Roofs and bushes get wet,
The yard and street are empty.
Rain since morning
It's drizzling absentmindedly...
The maple tree lost all its leaves
And he stands there, confused.
(A. Kulagina)

The wind was blowing in the city,
He tousled his willow braids.
Autumn found a ribbon,
She braided her braids to willow.
(M. Metelev)

You can also play many other games with these leaves. Here are some of them.

Scatter the leaves on the floor. The guys are divided into 4 teams. Each team must run to a chair, pick up a leaf of a certain tree as they run, put it on the chair, and return to the team. Then the next participant runs, etc. Whose team can handle it faster?

Place the leaves in a pile in the center of the room. Participants are blindfolded.
Everyone must find leaves from a certain tree by touch. You can agree on a certain number of leaves.

Each child receives a set of leaves: 1 leaf from each tree. Their task is to collect a set of leaves from one tree through exchange. At the command of the leader, they begin to exchange leaves with their comrades. The first one to assemble such a set is the winner.

Autumn joke questions.

There are so many joke questions that can be reformulated to give them an autumnal twist.
Here's what I got:

How do all the autumn months end? (Letter ь)
What is the time between September and November? (Letter i)
Why (why) do we wear rubber boots in the fall? (On the ground)
How many apples can fit into a ten-liter bucket? (None, they can't walk)
In which autumn month do people eat more than usual? (In October, because it has 31 days)
What do they start cooking in the fall, but don’t eat? (Lessons)
Where is October earlier than September? (In dictionary)
Can it rain for two days in a row in autumn? (No, the days are separated by night)
Why (why) do we eat vegetables and fruits in the fall? (At the table)
5 people stood under one umbrella on an autumn day and didn’t get wet. Why? (It didn't rain)
On September 1, one student was removed from the lesson. For what? (out the door)
What is under a person's feet when he walks through the autumn forest? (Sole)
When are the days shorter - in September or November? (The same)

"Mysterious Letters"

This game is more suitable for children in grades 3-4 and middle school. The presenter shows a card with 2 letters written on it. The guys need to try to guess a phrase on an autumn theme, where the first word is an adjective, the second is a noun. If the guys do not guess the encrypted phrase, the winner can be recognized as the one who was the last to offer his own option, or for the most witty answer. After this, the lines with the hidden phrase are read out.
For example: using the letters BL, children can name phrases such as big puddle, white swan, brown leaf, etc.

BL - Indian summer
Indian summer has arrived -
Days of farewell warmth.
Warmed by the late sun,
In the crack the fly came to life.

Endless clouds
The rain keeps pouring down
Puddles by the porch...

Flocks of birds fly away
Away, beyond the blue sea.

It's a sad time! Ouch charm!
I am pleased with your farewell beauty.
(A. Pushkin)

Have fun and have a positive mood!

Participants are divided into teams. Each of them is given a card with one of the words - “leaves”, “rain”, “wind” or others. It is necessary in one or two minutes to come up with as many words as possible that denote the action and are suitable in meaning to the specified word. For example, what does the wind do? Answer: howls, howls, circles, blows, sways, and so on. The team with the longest list of phrases wins.

Rains

Each team of players is given a large umbrella. It is necessary to gather as many people as possible under one umbrella. Only those players whose heads are inside the perimeter of the umbrella are taken into account when counting. It is allowed to raise the umbrella high, take each other in your arms, and come up with other combinations and weaves in order to place more players’ heads under the umbrella.

Fall of Desires

Each guest writes on a piece of paper his wish for this evening, for example: I want to be kissed; I want to be made to laugh; I want to see the focus; I want to be hugged; I want them to dance with me and so on. At the end of the wish, the guest must sign up. The host collects all the leaves with wishes and, on the count of 3, throws them into the hall, and each of the guests at this time must catch one leaf from the fall of wishes. Then each guest reads the wish and the name of who this wish belongs to, and then fulfills it. It will turn out to be an interesting game that will bring the children closer together and, of course, have fun.

Autumn colors

The host hands the player a card of a certain color. For example, orange. The player hides it and tries, without naming the color, to explain to the other participants in the competition what it looks like.
Any pictorial comparisons and descriptions are allowed, but without exact instructions. The one whose color is guessed the fastest wins. But the prize is awarded to the author of the most striking comparison.

Autumn Awards

During the holiday, a vote is launched, based on the results of which at the end of the evening the winners will be determined, who will be awarded prizes or medals.
Examples of nominations:
The most impressive gentleman;
The most luxurious autumn hairstyle;
The brightest diva;
The most active young man;
The most cheerful girl;
The most charming smile;
The loudest boy.

Autumn time is the time of poets

Poetry competition. Participants are asked to come up with two or more rhyming lines using required words. Such words are, for example, “day” and “laziness”, “autumn” and “eight”, “leaf” and “whistle”. The winner is determined by voting. The losers are instructed to print or write the winner's verse on pieces of paper, and the winning poet himself autographs each copy and distributes it to those who wish.

In autumn we pick mushrooms

Participants are divided into teams with the same number of people. The guys from each team stand in a separate row, since the game will advance according to the relay race method. At the same distance from the teams, for each there is a basket with mushrooms in the same quantity (mushrooms can be either real or cut out of paper or made, for example, from polystyrene foam). The first participants hold a rope (bundle) in their hands, on which the teams will string mushrooms. At the “start” command, the first participants run to their basket, take a mushroom and tie it by the leg with a rope, then run back, pass the baton to the second participants, and so on. The team that can string all the mushrooms onto a bunch the fastest will win.

Yellow leaves swirl over the city

The guys are divided into several teams, approximately 3-4 people each. For each team, there is the same “row” of leaves on the table (oak, ash, maple, walnut, apple tree, poplar, rowan, and so on). The team writes on a leaf in sequence the names of the trees to which the leaves belong. Whichever of the guys can do it faster wins.

Autumn nostalgia

The guys stand or sit in a circle, the elimination game begins. Starting with the first participant, each guest in turn names one version of a poem, song or film/cartoon in which there is a mention of autumn, for example, the song of the Lyceum group - “Autumn, Autumn”, Pushkin’s poem “Autumn”, the cartoon “Gray” Neck" and so on. The three participants who stay until the end and turn out to be the best experts on autumn stories will win and receive prizes.

Grapes from your hands

The guys are divided into pairs: boy-girl. Each couple receives an identical bunch of ripe grapes on a plate - one of the symbols of autumn. At the “start” command, the boy takes the girl’s hand in his hand and with the help of this hand eats the grapes, that is, all the movements are performed by the boy, and the girl must deftly tear off the grape and try to get into the boy’s mouth. The couple that eats their bunch of grapes the fastest wins.

The progress of the holiday

The presenter and children come out to the music.

Leading.

How nice it is to visit autumn

Among the golden birches.

They wouldn’t have dumped the gold any longer,

The forest would stand purple and quiet.

Student 1.

Here's an artist like this:

All the forests were gilded.

Even the heaviest rain

I didn't wash this paint off.

Student 2.

Paints red, scarlet, blue,

The rain dilutes the colors,

To make it come out colorful,

But not at all like in the summer.

We ask you to guess the riddle:

Who is this artist?

Student 3.

The bare branches are knocking,

Black jackdaws scream

Rarely shine through the clouds -

It's here...

Children. Autumn.

Student 4.

The ice cube will crunch loudly,

The bird will cry subtly.

As if he will ask for food -

It's here...

Children. Autumn.

Student 5.

The black nests are empty!

The bushes have become smaller.

The wind carries leaves:

Autumn, autumn, autumn!

Leading. Hello, dear children, dear parents! Autumn is a wonderful time of year. How many impressions it gives to a person! Nature enchants with its beauty and mystery. Guys, who do you think will be a guest at our holiday?

Children(in unison). Autumn.

Autumn enters the scene.

Autumn.

Are you talking about me? Here I am.

Hello autumn to you, friends!

We haven't seen each other for a whole year,

After summer, it’s my turn.

Are you excited to meet me?

Do you like the forest outfit?

Do you like gardens and parks?

Children(in unison). Yes! Your gifts are good.

Leading. Now we will find out what Autumn brought us in a basket.

Autumn. To find out, you will need to solve riddles.

Autumn asks children riddles.

Autumn.

Very friendly sisters

They wear red berets,

Autumn is brought to the forest in summer

Golden...

Children. Chanterelles.

Autumn.

There are no more friendly mushrooms than these,

Adults and children know.

They grow on stumps in the forest,

Like freckles on your nose.

Children. Honey mushrooms.

Autumn.

I'm growing up in a red cap

Among the aspen roots.

You'll see me a mile away

My name is...

Children. Boletus.

Autumn.

I don't argue, not white -

I, brothers, am simpler...

I usually grow

In a birch grove.

Children. Boletus.

Autumn.

I stand on a thick leg,

I stand on a smooth leg

Under the brown hat

With velvet lining.

Children. Porcini.

Autumn.

Along the forest paths

Lots of white legs

In multi-colored hats

From a distance noticeable,

Pack, don't hesitate!

Children. Russula.

Autumn. Well done guys, how well you know mushrooms. I'm very pleased.

Leading. Guys, what else does autumn bring besides bright leaves?

Children. Vegetables and fruits.

Autumn. Quiet, guys! Do you hear someone arguing?

Students enter wearing hats of carrots, peas, beets, cabbage, cucumbers, radishes, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, and eggplant; Vitaminka stands outside the door.

Autumn.

Your harvest is good, it is abundant.

And carrots, and potatoes, white cabbage,

Blue eggplants, red tomatoes

They start a long and serious argument.

Carrot.

Which one of us, from vegetables,

Both tastier and more useful?

Who with all the diseases

Will everyone be more useful?

Autumn.

The peas popped out -

What a braggart!

Polka dots.

I'm so pretty

Little green boy!

If only I want

I'll treat everyone to peas!

Autumn

Blushing with insult,

The beets grumbled...

Beet

Let me say a word,

Listen first.

Beetroot is needed for borscht

And for the vinaigrette.

Eat and treat yourself -

There is no better beetroot!

Cabbage

You beetroot, shut up!

Cabbage soup is made from cabbage.

And what delicious cabbage pies!

Trickster bunnies love stalks.

I'll treat the kids to a sweet stump.

Cucumber

You will be very pleased

Eating a lightly salted cucumber.

And a fresh cucumber

Everyone will like it, of course!

Radish

I am a ruddy radish

I bow to you very low.

Why praise yourself?

I'm already known to everyone!

Carrot.

A short story about me:

Who doesn't know vitamins?

Always drink carrot juice

And bite the carrot -

Then you will be, my friend,

Tough, strong, dexterous.

Autumn.

There's a tomato pouting here,

And he said sternly...

Tomato.

Don't talk, carrot, nonsense,

Shut up a little...

The most delicious and enjoyable

Of course, tomato juice.

There are a lot of vitamins in it,

We happily drink it!

Autumn.

Place a box by the window

Just water more often.

And then, like a true friend,

Green onions will come to you.

I'm the seasoning in every dish

And always useful to people.

Did you guess it? I am your friend,

I am a simple green onion!

Potato.

I, potato, am so modest

Didn't say a word...

But potatoes are so necessary

Both big and small!

Eggplant.

Eggplant caviar

So tasty, healthy...

There is no point in arguing!

There is a knock on the door. Vitamin comes in.

Vitamin. Hello! What are you arguing about, friends?

Carrot.

Which one of us, from vegetables,

Everyone is tastier and everyone is more important.

Who with all the diseases

It will be more useful for everyone.

Vitamin.

To be healthy and strong,

Gotta love vegetables

All without exception

There is no doubt about it!

Each has its own benefit and taste,

And I don’t dare decide:

Which one of you tastes better?

Which one of you is more important?

Autumn. Remember, guys, that vegetables have a lot of vitamins and are very healthy.

Leading. Many writers and poets dedicated poems, stories and even fairy tales to autumn. Listen now to an excerpt from a fairy tale and tell me what it is called and who its author is.

The presenter reads a fairy tale to the children.

The grain had already been harvested from the field, and again only bare, withered stalks stuck out of the ground. Thumbelina calved from the mouse hole and stretched out her hands to the sun:

Goodbye, sunshine, goodbye!

Then she saw a small red flower, hugged her and said: Bow down, flower, from me to the sweet swallow, if you see her!

Children's answers.

Leading. Well done! And now we will choose our Thumbelina and hold the Miss Thumbelina competition. We will ask our guest, Queen Autumn, to be the chairman of the jury.

I ask the girls who will participate in the competition to come to the center of the class.

The girls come out to music and applause.

The presenter introduces the jury.

The first competition “Presentation of Participants” is held.

Each participant performs an artistic number - a song, dance, poem, and talks about herself.

The 2nd competition “Signs” is being held.

Leading. Now we will find out how our participants know autumn signs.

The girls are given sheets of paper with tasks.

Leading. While the girls are completing the task, the audience and I will play the game “Bet!”

The presenter pronounces a phrase, after which the guys must say in unison: “We don’t argue!” if they agree with the statement, or “We argue, we argue!” if they do not agree.

Leading.

It rains in autumn.

Spring is ahead of us.

Children. We argue and argue!

The 5th competition “Recognize the work from the passage” is being held.

1. “He landed on the water and swam towards the handsome swans, who, seeing him, also rushed towards him.

(“The Ugly Duckling.” G. Andersen)

("The King's New Clothes")

6. “He hid behind a snuff box that stood right there. From here he had a clear view of the lovely dancer, who stood on one leg without losing her balance. Late in the evening everyone went to bed. Now the toys themselves began to play at home, at war and at the ball.”

Leading. While the jury sums up the results, we will sing the song “Umbrellas”.

Children perform a song to a soundtrack.

Autumn announces the results and awards the winners of the Miss Thumbelina competition.

The entertaining part of the dance evening will make it even more interesting. Team and pair competitions will diversify the program of the autumn ball. Thematic vocal quizzes will lift the spirits of event participants. General dance games will not allow anyone to stand on the sidelines, and each guest will feel at ease. Active competitions will help guys and girls get closer and determine the king and queen of the ball.

    Game "Ladies Invite Gentlemen"

Girls and boys play. The more participants, the more interesting it is. There should be one less boys than girls. The players take to the dance floor.

Rhythmic music is turned on. Everyone dances separately, maintaining a small distance. When the fast music gives way to slow music, the girls should invite the boys to dance. The participant who does not get a pair leaves the game and takes with her one gentleman of her choice. The game continues until there is only one pair left. The host announces them as the king and queen of the autumn ball.

3 boys are participating in the competition. The presenter blindfolds them and places glasses with different drinks on the table (you can use juices, sweet water, compotes).

In the first stage of the competition, the guys must identify drinks by smell. The participant who recognizes the fewest drinks leaves the competition. In the second stage, boys must identify them by tasting them. To complicate the task, you can mix two drinks in one glass (for example, add a little coffee to Pepsi - this will give strong foam and change the taste, or add cocoa).

The participant who manages to guess the most drinks wins.

    Game "Leaf Fall"

The game is played at the end of the autumn ball. All schoolchildren participate in it.

To carry it out, you need to hang autumn leaves in advance from the ceiling on threads of different lengths in the hall, attach them to the curtains and place them in different places.

After the leader’s command “the game has begun,” the children begin to actively collect leaves. To obtain leaves that are located high, participants can plant each other. After 1 minute, the leader stops the game and counts the number of leaves that each class has collected.

The fastest and most resourceful class receives balloons as a gift.

The competition involves 3 people with good vocal abilities. All spectators receive a ticket (an ordinary small leaf can serve as a ticket).

The contestants' task is to sing any song with an autumn theme. After all participants complete the task, the audience votes for the best performer by collecting tickets.

The participant with the most votes wins.

5 guys are participating in the competition. It takes place in 3 stages. In the first, participants must quickly turn into hussars, that is, draw a mustache, put on a shako and a belt with a saber. All paraphernalia must be prepared in advance. The guy who hesitates is eliminated.

The hussars then test their luck using cards. A deck is placed on the table, and each participant draws 3 cards from it. The two competitors whose cards turn out to be the lowest leave the game.

The last stage is a verbal duel. The reason for the discord is announced to the hussars (for example, a dispute about ladies, horses, an insult). The guys should discuss and argue, communicating only in phrases and words inherent in former speech.

A competitor who manages to out-argue or drive an opponent into a dead end is declared a true hussar.

5 boy-girl pairs are participating in the competition. If the guys do not know how to waltz, the leader should show them a couple of steps and give them a few minutes to master the movements.

The music turns on. Pairs line up in the starting position. The presenter gives a foam saber to the gentleman's outstretched hand. The couples begin to waltz. At the moment when the music stops, the gentlemen should quickly get down on one knee, and the ladies should sit down on it and tuck their legs. The saber must be held high above your head. The slowest pair is eliminated from the game.

Games at a children's autumn party

COLLECT THE CONES!
The game involves two people. They each take a basket in their hands. 10 - 12 cones are scattered on the floor. At the signal, the children begin to collect them in their baskets. The one who collects the most cones wins.

SORTING VEGETABLES!
Two people play. On one side of the hall there are two buckets in which carrots and potatoes are mixed. Each child, at a signal, runs with a basket to the bucket and selects either carrots or potatoes into his basket and returns back. Whoever completes the task faster wins.

FEED A FRIEND!
You can use apples or carrots in the game. Two players sit on chairs opposite each other. They are blindfolded and given an apple. They start feeding each other. The one who eats the apple the fastest wins.

GATHER THE WEEDS!
The game involves 3 people. Paper vines, cornflowers and dandelion leaves are scattered around the hall. Children are given a bucket. At a signal, they must collect the weeds in buckets: one - vines, another - leaves, the third - cornflowers. The child who completes the task faster than others wins.
