In addition, they litter a lot, they can easily defeat an insufficiently strong cage.

Which were actually canary finches, but now come in a huge variety of decorative shapes and colors. Both males and females sing, but the latter are less loud and have simpler trills. In fact, canaries can even be taught to sing! Previously, the so-called oatmeal tune was very much appreciated, and therefore canary lovers raised their birds. They were placed in cages covered with a rag, and a cage with a singing oatmeal bird was placed next to it. The most diligent canaries memorized the trills of a nondescript bird and learned to repeat them. Such is the canary school.

Canaries litter much less and are generally quite harmless. But in the summer they will sing right from the very sunrise, keep this fact in mind when getting yourself a feathered friend.

In nature, they live in groups, therefore, in captivity, it is more comfortable for them to live as a family. The species is characterized by very rapid puberty; they nest several times per season. Also in captivity, you can find hybrids of finches with wax-billed weavers, the hybrids are sterile. There are also a lot of colors, for every taste.

Of course, this is already a more dubious undertaking, because the birds of central Russia are almost never bred in captivity. However, among them come across no less entertaining pets.

For example, snowmen. Red-bellied gullible birds. They are undemanding in care, live well in captivity, even breed. There is information that in Western Europe bullfinches are common pets, and with color variations. Why not. Indeed, in all countries bullfinches are associated with good news.

Chizhi cannot boast of such a bright appearance, but they are very lively and sing beautifully. The unpretentious but sonorous song of a resilient bird perfectly treats depression. In addition, siskins are unpretentious, able to breed in captivity and easily get used to people. They are so gullible that they go into all the traps.

But carduelis can boast no less bright color than, say, finches. They also live well in cages, are unpretentious in care and quite sociable, perhaps because in nature they prefer to stay in groups, and in captivity they only have a person to communicate.

And yet - do not keep forest birds in a cage unless absolutely necessary. They are better off in the forest.
