If you need to transform into a graceful cat at least for the evening, this article is for you, because today we will tell you how to make cat ears yourself.

How to make cat ears

There are several ways to create this attribute: ears can be sewn from fabric, made from wire, or, for example, make ears based on a rim. The last option is the easiest. By the way, and the most reliable, because the headband will stay on the head with any hairstyle, and the ears will only decorate its owner.

So, rather for work, but for now it is necessary to prepare such tools, as well as materials:

• metal bezel, 1 cm or 1.5 cm wide. A narrow bezel covered with gray / black or dark blue fabric or satin ribbon is also suitable;
• you will also need soft felt in black, blue or dark gray;
• prepare chenille wire (or regular wire that bends well and holds its shape);
• in addition, the remains of any natural fur that matches in color will come in handy. Fur can be taken, both artificial and natural;
• openwork lace in black or gray;
• narrow satin ribbon (width 0.5 cm) - 20 cm;
• bead or glue rhinestone decor;
• plain paper, pencil and scissors.
• glue "moment" or glue gun.

How to make ears:

• First you need to draw an ear pattern on paper with a pencil. The eye should not be triangular, but rectangular with pointed edges.
• From the felt sheet of the chosen color, cut 2 blanks.
• Try on these blanks on the rim, placing one part on the right side of the rim, and the other on the left. Holding the workpieces with your fingers, check that they are at the same distance. You can even measure the free edges on the right and left sides of the rim with a ruler so that everything is even and symmetrical.
• Now you need to glue the blanks with glue so that you get cute ears. To do this, wrap the workpiece around the hoop, fix it with glue.
• When the glue sets, you can continue working.
• The edges of the ears have not yet been fixed and do not hold their shape. To do this, you need wire and fur (or lace). It is necessary to glue a fur strip (or lace, with a fold) along the edge of the wire to make cute ruffled ears, and then sew or carefully glue the wire between the felt blank so that it is not visible.
• After the work is completed, you may want to decorate one ear with a flirty bow. From a piece of ribbon of the desired color, you need to make a bow, fix it with glue (you can sew the middle with a needle and thread), glue a bead or rhinestone decor on top of the middle.
• As an option: instead of a felt base, you can use only lace, it will turn out very stylish, especially if you decorate the finished work with beads.

How to make cat ear clips

In order to make your own fur ears on “duck” hairpins, you need to prepare the following:

• artificial or natural fur - a small piece;
• a needle and thread;
• scissors;
• hairpins "ducks" - 2 pcs.;
• glue gun;
• a sheet of cardboard and a simple pencil.

How to make cat ears:

• We draw triangles of the desired size (equilateral) on a sheet of cardboard. Ears can be made sharp or rounded. You will need 2 parts in total.
• Attach paper blanks to the fur fabric, cut out 4 triangles.
• You need to glue the blanks with each other in pairs, insert a cardboard blank in the middle. Can be sewn if you don't have a glue gun.
• Leave the base free so that you can carefully apply a thin bead of hot silicone glue and quickly glue it to the hairpins.
• New ears are ready - you can try on
