Material Description: this material is designed for children of senior preschool, primary school age, teachers and parents.
Purpose: making gifts, postcards, participating in competitions, decorating the interior of a room.
Target: Creating an image of a horse using quilling technique.
Tasks:
-to consolidate the skill of winding a strip of paper into a roll.
- develop the ability to perform work step by step, plan, see the result;
-correct and develop fine motor skills, eye.
- Raise interest in working with paper.

2014 is the year of the horse and I propose to make a horse craft using the quilling technique.

Material: double-sided colored office paper, colored in white, light blue and blue, brown cardboard for the background, paper curling tool, glue stick, scissors, ruler, black marker.

The paper must be drawn in strips 5 millimeters wide, cut the strips. I propose to make your own tool for twisting paper from a cork and a needle with a large eye. We cut off the upper part of the needle until a “fork” appears, stick it into the cork with a sharp end.

I offer the necessary template of the horse. The template is pasted on a brown background.

We start by making the horse's eyes. To do this, it is necessary to paint the strips of white paper to the middle with a black marker on both sides.

Then we take a strip and insert it with the black side into the hole of the tool so that the strip comes out a little (by 1-2 mm.) And we begin to twist it into a tight spiral.

Carefully remove the finished roll from the tool and loosen it a little, glue the tip of the spiral.

We flatten the finished roll neatly from opposite sides and the “leaf”, which is also the “eye” for the horse, is ready.

Lightly paint over the top of the workpiece with a black marker.

Everything, you can stick your eyes on the template.

We start making blue spirals. For work, we need spirals of different diameters. To get a spiral of a larger diameter, let the tight spiral unwind a little, glue the tip.

We also flatten the finished spirals on both sides, giving the shape of a “leaf”.

We begin to paste over the head, ears of the horse with ready-made blanks, trying to glue the details as close to each other as possible.

From the white stripes we will make the nostrils of the horse, gently flatten the spiral in the form of a “drop” on one side.

The mane is white. We make spirals of different diameters from white stripes, give them the shape of a “leaf”. The body is blue.

The horse is placed in the finished frame 14/20 cm.
