Dmitry Kiselev left the Russian Information Agency due to “excessive propaganda.” Dmitry Kiselev: “News of the Week”, radioactive ash and winemaking Why did Kiselev leave the program

Today, information appeared in the media that 63-year-old Dmitry Kiselev may allegedly leave the state media holding VGTRK. Sources from the TV channel told reporters about this. According to them, if Kiselev leaves, it will be for personal reasons. Specific dates were also named - this fall.

StarHit contacted a representative of the television company, which denied the data that caused a resonance on the Internet. As an employee of VGTRK noted, Kiselev hosts one of the most popular programs on Russian TV - we are talking about the author’s show “News of the Week,” aired on Sundays.

"No that's not true. Dmitry Kiselev is the host of the highest-rated news program on Russian TV. Therefore, there can be no talk of any departure,” Victoria Arutyunova, a representative of the holding, told StarHit.

Let us add that Dmitry Kiselev is also the deputy head of VGTRK Oleg Dobrodeev and the general director of the Russian international news agency Rossiya Segodnya. The television journalist became the host of the information and analytical program “News of the Week” in 2012, replacing Evgeniy Revenko.

Being one of the most popular and discussed Russian presenters, Kiselev regularly faces criticism, as well as attacks from spiteful critics. In one of the interviews, the TV journalist said that he does not concentrate on the statements of haters. The man believes that they have negative thinking, so you should not take their words into account.

Let us also recall that in February the media actively discussed the alleged personnel changes in the “Live Broadcast” program broadcast on “Russia 1”. It was alleged that Boris Korchevnikov could leave the talk show team, and his place would allegedly be taken by Dmitry Shepelev, who shared information about the new appointment on social networks. “The start is already in March,” he noted.

However, a few weeks after the news about the alleged change of presenters, Korchevnikov continued working on the television show. For a long time he preferred to refrain from commenting on information that had received wide publicity in the press, but at the end of April he made a statement on one of the social networks. Korchevnikov said that he was not going to leave “Live” and called such data “rumours”. “Together with our team, we are preparing the best response to the information hype around us: a response with programs and even more amazing destinies of our heroes. Thank you,” he added.

.
To be honest, after Mr. Kiselev’s scandalous journey into the very den of gays, I expected something like this. The tender psyche of the Russian journalist, who demanded that the hearts of these very “faggots” be burned, could not stand what he saw. He saw it and fell in love with all his inherent tenderness.
This journey changed the essence of the respected journalist and he looked at what he was doing with different eyes...

Russian journalist Dmitry Kiselev resigned from his post as general director of the international news agency Rossiya Segodnya.
Kiselev cited excessive propaganda and a complete lack of objectivity in Russian media as the reason for his dismissal. The journalist wrote about this on his Facebook.
“What the Russian media are showing now is already too much! - Said Dmitry Kiselev. — I believe that in the interests of the state, information can and even should be presented from the right angle. This is a normal world practice: to show something and hide something. However, when reality is not just distorted, but completely created with the help of news, as is now happening in the news about Ukraine, this is too much! I don't participate in this."
In addition, Kiselev asked for forgiveness from the residents of Ukraine for the last three days of his work. “Even I didn’t notice how I crossed the border. I am ashamed of the work of the media under my control over the last three days. Forgive me, residents of Ukraine,” said the Russian journalist.
Dmitry Kiselev also stated that he would not mind working in Belarus: “There, television also performs the function of propaganda and not classical media, but in Belarus the truth is at least distorted, and not completely created”
In conclusion, the ex-director general of Russia today expressed words of support for the editorial board of Lenta.ru (which recently replaced the editor-in-chief with one controlled by the Kremlin) and called on the journalists who were released to go with him to Belarus.

Dmitry Kiselev: “Now Ukraine is a virtual country, and our portal is real!”

It became funny already while reading the press release. “At the Rossiya Segodnya press center, Dmitry Kiselev will present a new media project of the Ukraina.ru agency, the goal of which is “strengthening Russian-Ukrainian relations.” In recent months, journalist Dmitry Kiselev has been actively strengthening Russian-Ukrainian relations every Sunday on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, where he compared Ukraine to a falling airliner and talked a lot about the fascist residents in the west of this country. For this, Kiselev in Kyiv is called nothing less than “Goebbels” and rumors are spread that he allegedly ended up in the hospital with a heart attack. But now he is not only the presenter, but also the head of the new news agency “Russia Today,” which is assigned the role of the Kremlin’s main ideological mouthpiece in the world - and in Ukraine, accordingly, too.

Despite the fact that Kiselev was included in the EU sanctions list, the journalist came to the presentation of the new project as if he had just returned from a vacation, say, from Bruges: a non-business style corduroy jacket, light green trousers and socks of a funny green shade. One could suspect him of being one of Russia's main national TV presenters only by the strap on his watch (in the photo above), which is painted in the colors of the St. George's ribbon. Although a quick search on the Internet reveals an even more bizarre remark: watch straps of this type are called Nato Strap.

At the presentation of Ukraina.ru, Kiselev was accompanied by pro-Russian journalists from Ukraine, who, due to the rampant Maidan, were forced to leave for Moscow and were taken on payroll by the Rossiya Segodnya agency.

I want to say thank you to Dmitry Konstantinovich Kiselev and your agency for sheltering us. I also wish other immigrants who are in Russia to also have the same good patrons! - journalist Alexander Chalenko thanked for the hospitality, after which he decided to explain the difference between the state of affairs in Russia and Ukraine.

You can’t imagine what it’s like for journalists in Ukraine! I see opponents here who support Maidan and speak on Russian talk shows! I see how they disagree with Russia’s position, with the referendums that took place in eastern Ukraine. They perform with such heat and ardor, but I see: they are not afraid of anything here, although they are in opposition to the Russian mainstream. And I was recently named on the TVi channel as an FSB figure! And there they said that it was necessary to crush the fifth column in Ukraine! That’s what they said about me: “crush this reptile”! - Chalenko confessed.

Tellingly, half an hour later, the head of the Association of Orthodox Experts, Kirill Frolov, who came to the presentation, pointed his finger at me and explained to the Ukrainian journalist Chalenko: “Yes, this is Slon.ru, our fifth column!” They need to be closed, I’ve been saying this for a long time.” However, noticing that I paid attention to him, the Orthodox expert took a step towards me and confidentially remarked: “But don’t be offended! I mean this sincerely.”

But the main Ukrainian star of the event was journalist Alena Berezovskaya. In fact, the main part of the presentation consisted of showing her documentary film about the Ukrainian nation. The film, of course, is outstanding - in a week it will be shown by Russia 24, but Berezovskaya herself is no less amazing. Four years ago, Ukrainian publications circulated her joint photographs with Viktor Yanukovych. It was alleged that the journalist was his mistress. But Berezovskaya convincingly refuted these speculations, explaining that she was simply friends with Yanukovych.

Viktor Yanukovych and Alena Berezovskaya

Until the age of 22, she was part of the journalistic pool, and then became editor-in-chief of the secular magazine Kyiv Times.

Her documentary, also called Ukraina.ru, is based on a fictional quote from German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck: “The power of Russia can only be undermined by the separation of Ukraine from it. It is necessary not only to tear off, but also to contrast Ukraine with Russia, to pit two parts of a single people against each other and watch how brother kills brother.” This is the main idea of the film: the Ukrainian ethnic group was invented by the Germans and introduced on the outskirts of Russia in order to split the territory of the Russian state; This is what Germany did both during the First World War and the Great Patriotic War. And now, according to the author, the Europeans are continuing the vile deed of the Germans on the Maidan. Berezovskaya herself in the frame periodically reads poetry with the intonation of either a schoolgirl-prefect at the last bell, or State Duma deputy Irina Yarova. Sometimes she poses against the backdrop of strong men in military uniform and promises that the east of Ukraine will still stand up for itself and defeat the fascists. The artistic composition is completed by a soundtrack of songs from the Lyube ensemble.

The screening of the film “about strengthening Russian-Ukrainian relations” ended with an attempt by Orthodox expert Kirill Frolov to applaud and a clumsy swearing at a cameraman who stumbled between the rows of spectators. Now it was finally possible to move on to communicating with Dmitry Kiselev. He was extremely diplomatic, completely different from himself on TV, and avoided emotional assessments. Kiselyov said that the Ukraina.ru portal will aggregate the most interesting information about this country, “will not carry out fiery passions” and will allow Ukrainian journalists who, due to recent events, had to leave their homeland, to continue their activities. Kiselev’s restraint somehow did not correspond to the event, which the Orthodox expert Frolov immediately tried to correct. He took the microphone and almost fell to his knees.

I support you! It is absolutely impossible and dangerous to save the Ukrainian idea! I wish “Ukraine.ru” to end with the Ukrainian idea! - the expert announced, after which he tried to tell how to deal with the harmful idea. But he was interrupted by Kiselev, carefully hinting that he did not have the task of “ending the Ukrainian idea” and the portal would collect different points of view. In order to somehow calm Frolov’s ardor, the general director of Russia Today invited him and “his experts”:

Kirill, we invite you and your experts to publish on our resources. - Kiselev, apparently, did not know that the Association of Orthodox Experts consists of only one person. That is, Kirill Frolov himself.

Will there be any problems with the domain “Ukraina.ru”? The same site was already created ten years ago by the Gleb Pavlovsky Foundation for Effective Politics,” an elderly journalist, impressed by the film he had just seen, was worried about the new portal.

Hardly. Our domain seems to be called differently. What was the spelling of that site? It seems like Ukraine was spelled with a “s” there? - asked Kiselev.

Spelling what?

“I don’t understand...” the journalist threw up his hands.

Well, spelling!

What was the spelling in the name of the site? - I prompted the journalist.

“Ah-ah,” he said with understanding. - I do not remember!

In turn, I couldn’t help but ask Dmitry Kiselev whether he, as a film professional, liked Alena Berezovskaya and how he reacted to the idea that the Ukrainian people were invented by the Germans. True, expert Frolov’s friends immediately stood up for the author of the film and for the idea of the Germans, shouting at me from their seats that there were no Ukrainians a hundred years ago. But they were again judiciously interrupted by the ideologist of Russian television.

To my second question about how he reacted to the fact that the former editor of the neo-Nazi magazine “Russian Image” Dmitry Steshin was on the list of Putin rewarding Russian journalists for covering events in Ukraine, Kiselev also answered flawlessly: “Putin has the right to reward anyone "

The general director of Rossiya Segodnya could afford to be a little shocking only after the end of the official part of the event, when journalists began to approach him individually.

How can we negotiate so that the Kyiv authorities do not cut off the water supply to Crimea if we do not recognize them?

Why do we not recognize the authorities? - Kiselyov answered with feigned surprise.

Well, Ukraine, it seems.

There is no Ukraine. Now it is a virtual concept, a virtual country. If you want to live in the virtual world, please.

How then is it that you don’t have Ukraine, but you have Ukraina.ru?

And “Ukraina.ru” is a real portal. No longer about the country, but about the territory that was under the control of this country. Now this is a failed state . - Slon), - Kiselev easily retorted, straightened his corduroy jacket and went to give an interview to VGTRK.

“Attitudes are changing towards more subtle propaganda”

Dmitry Kiselev may leave VGTRK “for personal reasons”

Ramil Sitdikov / RIA Novosti

In the foreseeable future, personnel changes may occur in the VGTRK holding, two interlocutors of the site close to the presidential administration say. In particular, the famous TV presenter Dmitry Kiselev may leave the post of deputy head of VGTRK due to personal circumstances.

“It is possible that this will happen in the fall, even before the start of the presidential election campaign,” says one of the publication’s interlocutors. Another interlocutor, also close to the presidential administration, admits that the rumor about Kiselev really exists, but rather connects it with information about the possible resignation of the head of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Oleg Dobrodeev.

The press service of VGTRK asked to send a written request, and it was sent, but we have not yet received a response.

63-year-old Dmitry Kiselev is also the general director of MIA Rossiya Segodnya (RIA Novosti) and hosts the notorious news program Vesti Nedeli.

Perhaps changes at VGTRK will be part of the Kremlin’s new information strategy. A few months ago, the site came across a study on the quality of socio-political talk shows, prepared by a private company for the presidential administration. It was ordered with the goal of “dealing with the picture of reality that television gives” and analyzing whether this picture can contribute to the modernization of Russia. The authors came to the conclusion that television talk shows are heavily skewed towards the foreign policy agenda, are extremely emotionally charged and are mainly devoted to the topic of Russia’s confrontation with the USA, the West, Ukraine and so on, with an emphasis on the military threat. The brightest representatives of socio-political TV were Dmitry Kiselev and Vladimir Solovyov.

“Federal television creates a unified picture of socio-political reality, the central idea of which is the defense of Russia’s national sovereignty in the face of a hostile foreign policy environment, state paternalism and patriotic values, and the justification of economic and social problems by an external threat. President Vladimir Putin is the personification of the state and the dominant newsmaker,” the authors wrote, noting television’s disregard for the domestic political agenda, the interests of public organizations and individual citizens. “These programs are the main channel for the exaggeration of negative and alarming discourses, especially those that build a black and white picture of the polar world and lead to an escalation of emotional tension.”

Experts believe that personnel and content changes are long overdue on Russian television, and the matter is not personal to Kiselyov.

Dmitry Kiselev is only an executor of the state order, reminds the head of the Political Expert Group, Konstantin Kalachev. “Content changes imply a change in attitudes, not only in performers. I believe that attitudes are changing towards more balanced, more subtle propaganda. The feeling of anxiety that has arisen among Russian citizens in recent years may turn into neurosis; this problem must be solved. Further injection will give the opposite reaction. People are tired. There was an inflection point with propaganda. Personnel changes can become a sign for viewers, a signal for change. An update is required. It is high time to stop the information injection of negative expectations regarding the future of both adults and children - the threat of war, the threat of isolation, the archaization of public life. The theme of rallying around the image of the enemy has already been worked out. We need to look for something new,” says Kalachev.

Political scientist Abbas Gallyamov agrees with him: the fact that political broadcasting on domestic TV has reached a dead end has long been obvious to everyone.

“The language of hatred that Kiselev, Solovyov, etc. speak has not responded to people’s sentiments for a long time.

The audience is tired of hysteria and wants a normal dialogue about their problems, but they continue to feed them horror stories about Ukrainian fascists and European gays. A couple more years, and in terms of the degree of inadequacy, our TV will be on the same level as Soviet television of the early 80s. No one will watch it at all, not even the producers themselves,” says Gallyamov.

Political scientist Maxim Zharov, on the contrary, believes that rumors about upcoming personnel changes at VGTRK are not caused by a crisis with content on television, but only by personnel intrigues within the holding.

“I think that this is a typical case of “pushing elbows” within the leadership of VGTRK. Against the backdrop of renewed rumors about Oleg Dobrodeev’s great desire to leave his post within the leadership of VGTRK, the number of people wishing to take this post is growing. Dmitry Kiselev is perceived by them as a direct competitor, which is why there are rumors about his dismissal from VGTRK,” says Zharov.

One of the publication’s interlocutors, close to the presidential administration, shares the same opinion: even if personnel changes happen, the content is unlikely to change.

“According to the Kremlin leadership, the current content is good and correct, and who will implement it is not so important. Therefore, no matter who runs the state media, there is hardly any change to be expected there. Oliver Stone’s film about Putin is now recognized as the most successful and best example of propaganda, which means that the approach to news broadcasting will remain the same,” says the source.

Personnel changes may occur in the VGTRK holding.

A source in the presidential administration told Znak.com about the upcoming reshuffles at VGTRK. In particular, the odious Dmitry Kiselev may leave the Rossiya channel and the post of deputy of VGTRK. VGTRK representative Victoria Arutyunova denied information about the dismissal of Dmitry Kiselev from the Rossiya 1 TV channel. “They don’t leave with such ratings,” she joked. At the same time, the journalist himself did not respond to the corresponding request from the editors, Lenta.ru reports.

ON THIS TOPIC

Earlier, the publication Znak.com, citing two sources close to the presidential administration, reported that Dmitry Kiselev could allegedly leave the holding “for personal reasons.” At the same time, according to the informant, “it is possible that this will happen in the fall, even before the start of the presidential election campaign.”

Moreover, according to the publication’s interlocutors, Dmitry Kiselev’s departure will supposedly be only part of the upcoming changes in the personnel policy of VGTRK. One of the sources connected these rumors with information about the possible resignation of the head of the holding, Oleg Dobrodeev.

It should be noted that in April 2017, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the point of view of Dmitry Kiselev is not identical to the position of the Kremlin. However, he admitted that they are often very close to each other. “This is true, but not every time,” he concluded.

Let us remind you that Dmitry Kiselev has been working at VGTRK since 2003; he was appointed deputy general director of the holding in 2008. Since 2013, the journalist has also been the general director of the international news agency Rossiya Segodnya.
